About: We’ve owned many dogs growing and are super excited for the opportunity to be around animals while living in a new state. We've house sat for neighbors, friends and family for a number of years so please take a look at our testimonials. We both have very flexible schedules this summer! Matthew is a grad student and Mary Beth works from home in finance, so we're both available throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, or overnight care. We love walking and biking around the West End of Hartford, but we do have cars for extra flexibility. Your pet's safety and comfort are our top priorities. When house sitting, we follow your routine closely to keep things familiar and stress-free for your pet. We’re respectful of your home and aim to leave it just as we found it—if not better. For dog walking, we use secure leashes and harnesses, avoid unsafe areas, and always keep a close eye on your dog’s comfort and energy level. During doggy daycare, your pet will have a calm, supervised environment with lots of attention, play, and breaks as needed. About: I’ve taken care of all types of animals big and small furry or reptilian! I’m comfortable with different energy levels and sizes and willing to put in the work to get to know your pet and make sure they are comfortable! I work from home with very flexible hours so I can accommodate many different schedules during business hours and throughout the rest of the day I live in an apartment so will not be caring for pets in my home, but I am very careful and thorough with all pet care instructions.

This was my first Rover experience at the time of my booking I had an elderly dog and three cats, we had not gone on vacation in years due to our dog having arthritis and other health issues, but we had gotten her to a point where she was doing really well and we felt we could leave her with someone. I needed someone who could administer meds, live at the house and be otherwise highly attentive to her needs and our cats. I had about given up on some of the people I’d spoken with on Rover, I just didn’t feel comfortable with anyone. Enter Jillian. In our initial texts I got a very positive vibe and immediately liked her. We hadn’t even met yet but I could tell she was a gem. When she came to the house to meet our pets she was aces and again I instinctively knew she was going to be great. I dropped off Winston, and five minutes later he had already claimed their hearts and probably their couch. When I picked him up, he looked at me like, “Oh… you’re back? Already??” They took such amazing care of him—he went on adventures (aka walks), played like a wild puppy (he’s 7, but don’t tell him that), and probably auditioned for “World’s Most Spoiled Dog.” He came home happy, tired, and with that goofy smile he gets after living his best life. I got plenty of updates, pics of him mid-zoomie, and even one where I’m pretty sure he was helping Matthew do taxes (unclear, but impressive). Talia was awesome right from the start! She was extremely personable, sweet, punctual and our puppies loved her right away. She kept me updated while away with plenty of texts and pictures and was quick to respond when I texted her. It was our first time using an in-home sitter so we were a bit hesitant, but Josh was fantastic. He made sure to ask about our normal routine and what was important to us, and we came home to 2 happy dogs and a house just as clean as we left it, and got pictures, videos, and updates daily.
Brianna was wonderful with our Doberman, making sure she got plenty of exercise everyday. She was also very accommodating to our changing needs. We received happy pictures of our dog daily. It’s clear Brianna loves dogs and we would love to work with her again.
Saylor was kind enough to take a very last minute booking for me on a weekday afternoon. She responded promptly, communicated well, asked good questions. She was early to the appointment, very friendly and kind in person. (And she’s got cute doggies!) I will absolutely be asking her back.
