About: I've had dogs (and participated in their care) since I was a kid. We've always had at least two dogs at a time since then! I'm a cat person, but all pets I meet I treat like my very own babies. At home we have 2 dogs, one high strong pit, and one fast moving lab mix. We have three domestic cats as well. Personal experience is well over 15 years, professional experience about 3-4 years collective. I previously worked for Sit 'N Stay Pet Services, so you can be assured I know what goes into a professional pet care job. I am also a Volunteer for Ten Lives Club, I have been with them for 1 year and some change so far. I also have an extensive history of volunteering at other shelters (Erie SPCA, South TX Animal Shelter, Etc). I am currently searching for a full-time job and seeking supplemental income. I am currently in-between jobs and awaiting starting my next one, so until then my schedule is open for whenever you need me. Safety is paramount to me. I also completed a two-year Small Animal Science program and currently foster dogs. Through fostering, I’ve helped 7 dogs find their forever homes. I have managed special health-care needs such as caring for a diabetic cat (Cupcake), a cat with FIV (Sylvester), a cat with kidney issues (Socks), and a senior German-Shepherd dog with dementia (Charlie). Because of this, I am incredibly comfortable with complex care routines. I have also regularly provided reliable drop-in vacation visits for friends and family. I am currently working full time within the Village of Angola, but I have time in the afternoons as well as my lunch break to do drop ins and visits. The majority of my availability during the week will be in the afternoon. I do have most weekends available as well. When caring for pets in a client’s home, safety and routine are my top priorities. I strictly follow all feeding, medication, and exercise instructions to keep your pet's schedule consistent. I also document when I complete a task as well as photo proof as requested. I make sure doors and gates are fully secured during drop-ins, provide fresh water, and always double check the house before leaving.
