Cat Sitting Langford

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

About: I have had animals all my life. (mostly dogs and cats). I will take great care of your pets while you are away. I couldn't imagine a house without fur babies. I love spending time with animals. I am available in the evening during the week and weekends. I'm a teacher, so once summer begins I have more flexibility and can be available during all times during the week. I am open to whatever your pet needs, from cuddling to playing to feeding etc. I will treat your pet as my own and make them feel as comfortable as possible until you return home

About: I have owned and taken care of both dogs and cats most of my life. I am responsible and trustworthy in taking care of your pet. I am retired. I have a very open schedule. I am available for walks and check ins Monday through Friday. I can not board or take care of pets in my home. I would like to work for rover because I love dogs and cats and currently do not have any of my own. I miss the joy of having a pet. I do not have any pets. My husband and I like to travel and feel that we would not be able to spent enough quality time with a pet of our own. I can not board or care for a pet in my home.

About: Hi! I have always loved animals, and have grown up with dogs and cats all my life! I moved to Collins in 2024 to a property with 30 acres of mostly wooded land with a dog kennel, cat house and barn! The property has a huge area for dogs to run and play. We are working on repairing a huge fenced in area right now, so we would walk around the property on a leash always. I have woods and trails on my property that I love to take walks through. Your pet and I will have so much fun together, I like to be very active and really enjoy hiking and playing with my dog. My playful dog would also love a friend to play with! I am starting a career in pet grooming in about a month, and I would love to gain experience working with animals professionally. I am very interested in learning about dog behavior and training. I have one dog, a 1.5 year old German Shepherd mix, two cats, and two goats. I've had senior dogs in my family before so I have experience with dogs of all ages! I would love the chance to take care of your animal for you and to take care of anything and everything that they would need to feel comfortable, safe and loved. I understand that patience is key when taking care of an animal! I have open availability until Aug 10. After that I will adjust my availability and I should have week nights, Sat night and Sun available. I will take care of your home, make sure I follow your directions, follow any rules in your household, and have utmost respect of your home. If boarding at my home, I will make sure your pet gets plenty of one-on-one time walking, hiking, playing, training and cuddling. I will give your pet the time, patience and love that they deserve!

About: I’ve loved and cared for animals my entire life. Many of the animals I have cared for have had special health-care needs which has given me a deep understanding of how important pets are to a family. I have managed special health-care needs such as caring for a diabetic cat (Cupcake), a cat with FIV (Sylvester), a cat with kidney issues (Socks), and a senior German-Shepherd dog with dementia (Charlie). Because of this, I am incredibly comfortable with complex care routines. I have also regularly provided reliable drop-in vacation visits for friends and family. I am currently working full time within the Village of Angola, but I have time in the afternoons as well as my lunch break to do drop ins and visits. The majority of my availability during the week will be in the afternoon. I do have most weekends available as well. When caring for pets in a client’s home, safety and routine are my top priorities. I strictly follow all feeding, medication, and exercise instructions to keep your pet's schedule consistent. I also document when I complete a task as well as photo proof as requested. I make sure doors and gates are fully secured during drop-ins, provide fresh water, and always double check the house before leaving. You can expect regular text updates and photos so you know your pet and your home are in safe hands.

About: I grew up always having a pet to call my own. I have recently adopted a 2 year old pitbull name Gizmo! We are always out for a nice stroll on the beach, sitting on a restaurant patio or cuddling on the couch watching a scary movie. My love for animals started at a young age. I grew up with all different kinds of animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits and even a hedgehog. I am able to easily adapt to all types of dogs and routines. I am a responsible and dependable caretaker with always room in my heart for another animal! I am available after 3:00pm everyday of the week except for Mondays! I have a full time job during the week but will always make time to care for your pet in the evenings. I have grown up around cats and dogs my entire life so I am open to all breeds and personalities! I will adjust my energy and personality based on your pet's needs.

About: I grew up with cats and my best friend had dogs. I would always help her take care of them and took care of cats as my best friends. When I met my fiancé he had a 5 year old beagle and I fell even more in love with dogs. My dream one day is to open a senior dog sanctuary, but until then, I will take care of my own dogs and help others care for theirs! Our pets are part of our families and they deserve the best treatment. I work from home with a consistent schedule and am available for walks and check ins after 3:30pm during the week and any time during the weekend. I have 2 small beagles who love all dogs and love to play. They will make great play mates and walk companions to keep your pooch company.
