About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

“My family and I went on a mini vacation for 3 nights. When I left my two dogs with Monica I felt very comfortable and felt there was no need to worry about anything, well boy was I right! She is fabulous! About 20 min into their stay with her, she messaged me pictures of them Playing and lounging around . She continued to send me pics daily of them showing me how they were, which was very relieving! The very last day one of my dogs was experiencing loose poops (we think it was just from the heat) which she also had messaged me about prior to pick up . My dog has an accident in her house which I felt terrible about but she was so easy going and sweet about it which was really nice , since I felt so bad! I would take my dogs back to her in a heartbeat! They loved their stay with her and we enjoyed our vacation without worrying about our doggies! She is also very reasonable! About: I’ve always had cats around and have taken care of strays and making sure they always got the love and food they needed! I’ve recently started to help take care of family and friends cats and have researched and learned a lot of things. I love to give my kitty friends space when they need it and all the love and snuggles. I love deep cleaning litter boxes to make sure that they have a clean place to go potty. I also enjoy brushing cats and am very good at getting their nails clipped, even if they’re grumpy!

About: I’ve loved dogs since I was wee child. 8 years ago my now husband and I got our first puppy (a pitbull/rat terrier mix) named Dudley and have since grown our four legged family by four! A 3.5 year old Daniff (Great Dane/English mastiff mix) named Aspen and three domestic shorthair kitties, varying in color (an orange included), named Chug, Nova and Wee. I'm your woman. I am a stay-at-home dog mom. Typical schedule is I am an early bird and go on morning walks or hikes. I leave for 1-2 hours for gym dependent on class schedule. The rest of the time is spent at home so I have plenty of time for multiple walks, activities, and anything else your fur baby may want. Prior to drop off provide Proof of Rabies and Flea/Tick Prevention Please bring a harness for safety on walks ( I will purchase one if unable to provide or if it's an improper fit) Cleaning fee of $35 will be added for accidents in house

I am comfortable giving oral meds, comfortable learning other routes of medication administration if needed. Currently will only board cats from the same home or young puppies (message for more details) at a time due to other animals in the house. About: I have been working with dogs since I was in 6th grade. I trained my childhood dog through a 4H program and we completed at the county fair each year in Obedience and Rally. Now I have a rescue who over the past 4 years we've helped work through a lot of reactivity and she now is an active participant in Rally competitions and other classes. As a teacher my summer is wide open for walks and drop in visits. Once the school year starts after school and weekends are open. I'm very comfortable with dogs of various sizes and needs. About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

She is fabulous! About 20 min into their stay with her, she messaged me pictures of them Playing and lounging around . The very last day one of my dogs was experiencing loose poops (we think it was just from the heat) which she also had messaged me about prior to pick up .
