“Margie is amazing! She took care of our little blind man (Yorkie 14 yrs) for a week while we were out of town. She made sure to make him feel cozy and safe and sent pictures of the naps and outside time. It really looked like he was living his best life!! Being an old man he has a few medications and Margie made sure he got those and even gave him a little sponge bath. She’s great at communicating throughout the entire process. Thank you so much Margie!!”

“We had a great experience with Sarah! I was a little nervous about leaving my dog with someone new, but Sarah was very reassuring and sent me updates and pictures. When I came to pick Milo up, he was excited to see me, but it was obvious he had enjoyed his stay, being able to run around in the fenced in yard and play together with Sarah’s dog. I would absolutely recommend Sarah to any other pet owner and I’m sure Milo will be paying her another visit soon!”

About: I have grooming, training, & boarding experience. I’m experienced in administering medications; pills, eye drops, shots, etc. Animals are my peace so I’d love to give a peace of mind to others😊 I’m available full time, there are currently 6 dogs & 2 cats in my house & the pups get outside about 3-5 times a day depending on the weather. I also have a 3 year old whos with me 3 days out of the week. I have a fenced in yard, all of my pups & my sisters are crated when not supervised. I would prefer crates brought when staying with me just for safety reasons! & if I were to watch your pup in your hone they’d get the same love & care they receive from you😊

“Snickers did great with Ben and his wife. They took her for walks and played ball with her. I’m sure she had fun playing with their dog. I would definitely let Snickers stay with them again.”

“Skylar was great with Lennie, I got tons of pics and communication throughout. She went above and beyond when pickup got a little hairy and I would use her again no questions asked!”

About: I have an 11 year old rescued and very mellow plott hound dog. I have been watching friends dogs for over 5 years and have no issues with any type of dog in my past experiences. I work from home so I am able to take your dog to the bathroom and walks to unity park throughout the day. Your dog will be in good hands and it will be an enjoyable day for them I work from home and will have a relative easy way to drop off your pet. Your pet will go on at least 2 walks per day and go outside to the bathroom at least 3-4 times a day and more if needed. I have one dog and we will be in an apartment by ourselves. Have plenty of room for 1-2 additional dogs. I can communicate at mostly anytime of the day if any issues arise. Your pet will have a safe space inside and I do have an enclosed balcony if they would like to sunbathe.
“We could not be happier with our experience with Harry and Jeremy. They were so flexible, kind, organized, and professional in watching our little dog. Their home is lovely and I truly felt like our dog was part of their family. Would always book again!”

“Anna was amazing with my two girls. I myself was extremely anxious leaving my girls with a stranger, especially when I haven’t been away from one of them since I rescued her and wasn’t sure how she would be. Both also have attachment anxiety. Both warmed up to Anna and her husband almost instantly, and I felt comfort when I left them for a work trip. I got updates throughout the day, and pictures showing my girls having fun and relaxing. I highly recommend Anna, and will use her again in the future if I ever need someone to watch my girls for me.”

“Sonya and Daisy had a great time together, Sonya was able to provide daily updates multiple times a day to ensure that I knew it was going on. She provided adequate meals, outside time, and cuddles for my puppy. I definitely recommend her and I will be using her again in the future!”

“Brittany and her sons took excellent care of our sweet pup Apollo! I appreciated the daily updates and photos! I would definitely recommend this family to other pet owners!”

“Very friendly and welcoming! I felt very comfortable leaving my baby with Erika. She was very accommodating and sent updates/pics throughout her stay. Will book again!”

“Lindsay took such great care of our pups while we were busy with wedding prep activities. I could tell our girls were loved, cared for, and really enjoyed their time with Lindsay and her family!”

“You guys are the best, You take such good care of our baby we’re surprised she wanted to come home. Thank you so much for the great communication, gives us such peace of mind!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - City View
Vanessa was amazing and helped me out with a very last minute overnight! She was also a watching another dog, and you can tell how experienced and caring she is because she had her dog and the other on leashes when we got there so that Oliver could meet them slowly and get adjusted more comfortably. I got so many updates and photos and Oliver slept like a baby on the way home! Definitely would recommend!
We boarded our dog Maggie with Shireen for 4 nights. It was a great experience and felt like Maggie was treated as part of the family. She came home happy and tired out! Shireen’s bloodhound, Elvis, is beautiful and has a lovely temperament. I think he helped Maggie feel right at home immediately.

Dustin & Abby were absolutely wonderful with Daisy Mae! 🐾❤️ She settled in beautifully, was clearly comfortable and well cared for, and came home happy as could be. It gave us tremendous peace of mind knowing she was in such loving, capable hands. We couldn’t have asked for a better boarding experience. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

James and Sophia were excellent paw-rents while my husband and I were gone for 8 days! They made our nervous little pup feel right at home and put my mind to ease! James gave very considerate and thoughtful updates that made us laugh and we could tell our pup was doing just fine. Highly reccomend them and will be using them as our main sitter moving forward! Copper loved them!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their City View home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your City View.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your City View sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
