When I dropped him off, he immediately fell in love and didn’t even think twice to look back as I left. When I picked him up, he always looked depressed leaving their home and returning to mine! I absolutely am glad Anna was able to watch him. I highly recommend, especially for dogs with separation anxiety, elder care and special care instructions. I am glad to know that I have someone Buddy and I both trust to watch him when I go on business trips.”

Ben was very accommodating and flexible with the drop off and pick up times, which made our time away stress free.”

About: We’re a happily married couple, and we both love dogs. We will take care of your pet as if it were our own child. I (Roman) grew up in a village and have always had dogs—usually at least three. The last time before I left my parents’ house, I was taking care of four dogs (one mixed-breed and three Labradors). I also looked after friends’ and relatives’ dogs—mostly Corgis. One of them was almost completely blind and elderly, so I have experience caring for older dogs and know how to give insulin injections. Anna (my wife) is a total dog mom—if she could, she’d give birth to a dog instead of a human, haha. She’s an experienced dog sitter and has been doing this professionally for the past 3 years. I'm always at home, while my wife is at work— sometimes for just four hours, sometimes a little longer. There's always someone at home. Your pet's comfort and safety are our top priorities. Since we don't have any pets of our own, your furry friend will receive our undivided attention and be the 'only child' in our home. We offer a calm, loving, and safe environment where your pup can relax and feel like royalty. They’ll have our full focus, plenty of cuddles, and a cozy space all to themselves!

About: I just have experience taking care our sweet Katrinna, she is gone but our love for her still in our soul, we will love yours I'm currently working half time but a full time mom work and ill be able to love and spoil your baby as our own baby We don't have any pet but our home is full of love and we have a safe fence yard to let your run all over

“Chester worked with my godmother Lucy on a booking for her cats and had a fantastic experience! “Thank you for taking great care of my two cats this past week. It was so reassuring to have someone of your caliber to tend to their needs in my absence. Your daily updates and pictures were very comforting to me. You did a terrific job. I will highly recommend you and Rover every chance I get. Thanks again, Lucy D.””

“Harriette was amazing! I’m new to the area and was looking for a pet sitter and I’m so happy I came across Rover—which led me to Harriette! Someone who keeps in touch and sends photos and updates about my cat when I’m away is HUGE, and Harriette was someone who did just that. I know Dexter is in good hands with Harriette and plan to book her again for all of our times away from home!”
“Skylar is the best! She’s super communicative and my cats seem to take really well to her! Litter box and water are always clean and filled up when I’m back from my trips. She’s my go to sitter, I’d recommend to anyone who needs their cats watched.”

“Oh my gosh!! If I could give Lily 10 stars I would. My cats loved her, and shes also a wonderful photographer! She also followed all directions to a T. I wasn't available to give her access to one of the doors at my apartment, but she still managed to find help and get in and she was so understanding. Would highly recommend her and will be looking to have her check in on my babies in the future!! Thank you so much Lily!!!”

“Catherine was a great Baby - sitter! She is flexible and cheerful if changes to the upcoming schedule need to be made. Baby is normally shy but Catherine played with her and petted her often. Thanks for a great experience!”

“Jaylin kept me updated the whole time. She sent pictures. I work nights so my husband dropped her off. He said Jaylin was very nice and professional. Bunny had a good time. I would recommend Jaylin to everybody.”

“Hannah was great. We needed someone to watch our large, high energy puppy and found Hannah. We wanted our dog to have the chance to play with another dog if possible, so she arranged for our pup to meet her dog prior to the stay. Hannah and Conan (her dog) were both awesome. Hannah clearly has a lot of love for dogs and and her experience handling dogs was evident. She sent us updates and pics throughout the day of Charlie (our boy) playing the yard and with her dog, Conan. Hannah even walked Charlie to help get some of his energy out. We will be using Hannah again!”

About: I have been dog setting for the past 23 years. It all started when I watched my boss' 3 chihuahuas when I was about 17 and then I just have had many request ever since. I have had the privilege of caring for many beloved pups. Throughout my pet-sitting days, I have provided a loving and safe environment for dogs of all shapes and sizes. My two personal dogs were an integral part of my life for 12 wonderful years. They both passed in the Summer of 2020. It took me awhile to get another dog, but I did finally get our Elvis (a bloodhound) in October 2022. He is almost 5 years old with a giant heart! He loves to have a fur-friend over and gets along with any age pup. I have a son who is 10 years old and absolutely loves helping out with the dogs. My son has learned so much about dogs and loves having them around as well. I also prioritize the emotional well-being of the dogs I sit for. I recognize the profound impact that loss and change can have on a dog’s mental health, and I strive to create a nurturing environment where they feel safe and supported. Through patience, empathy, and a deep understanding of canine behavior, I work to alleviate any anxiety or stress that may arise during their time with me. Above all, I approach dog sitting as a privilege and a responsibility. I hold myself to the highest standards of professionalism and compassion, ensuring that each dog receives the love and attention they deserve. My goal is to provide a pawsitive and enriching experience for both the dogs and their owners, fostering a sense of peace of mind for all parties involved. I am a stay at home dog-mom! About: I have always loved dogs, and growing up tried to learn as much as possible from the different breeds and their behaviors to the best training methods and the good and bad dog habits. My main experience is my childhood pets and watching friends animals while they’re away. I don’t have a dog now but my love for animals has driven me to sign up for Rover to hopefully spend some time with dogs and lend a helping hand to some dog owners in the Chicago area. Due to COVID I’m currently working from home full time, but even afterwards my job is fairly flexible so that I would be able to continue Rover as well. Looking forward to learning more about your dog, and how best to take care of them!

“Jay is great! He has walked my dog consistently for the last few weeks and she gets excited to see him. I had a family emergency which meant I had my mother’s dog here too and he was understanding and walked both dogs. He also shifted my dogs walks and visits after her surgery to provide what I asked (no interaction with dogs, shorter walk, hanging out inside). He is a good communicator and flexible.”

“Harriette, Bentley really enjoys his walks, thanks again. Sept. 22, Bentley will need to CXL his walk as he has a Vet. appointment at the same time. Thanks, Lissa”

About: Hi! I’m Kennedy, a 26-year-old animal lover who has grown up surrounded by pets my entire life—from dogs and cats to hamsters and birds. Caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve also helped care for and pet sit for friends, family members, and neighbors, giving me experience with pets of different personalities, sizes, and needs. I now have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family member. Whether it’s long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply keeping your pet company, I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and making them feel loved and comfortable while you’re away. I’ve always believed that dogs are one of God’s greatest gifts. They bring so much joy, loyalty, and unconditional love into our lives, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I would love the opportunity to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule and plenty of availability throughout the week. This allows me to give pets the time, attention, exercise, and companionship they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or simply keeping them company, I enjoy making pets a part of my day and ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, my priority is always safety, trust, and maintaining their normal routine. I make sure to follow all instructions exactly as provided, whether that’s feeding schedules, walk routines, medications, or house rules. I’m very attentive to keeping pets safe on walks and in the home, making sure doors and gates are secure at all times. I also take time to understand each pet’s personality so I can make them feel comfortable, calm, and cared for while their owner is away. I treat every home with respect and keep everything clean and in order, so you can feel confident your pet (and your space) are in good hands.
About: I have had pets in my home since I was a child. I had a senior dog I took care of for six years. I am very comfortable with dogs at all stages or any handicaps. I am home throughout the day and all evening with a flexible schedule. My home is relaxing with plenty of space. The fenced in yard is big and a pile of perfect sticks are waiting to be played with. The neighborhood is away from main roads and safe. I do have cameras in the home to keep an eye on things if I run errands. I have a fenced in large yard for safety if your furry friend stays here. I also have a private inside area if they need some downtime. I only have a couple steps into the home. If I visit them then all rules are strictly adhered too. I provide a lot of love and care, making sure they are calm, happy and safe. I tend to care for 4-6 dogs at a time. Many are high energy so your dog should be comfy with that environment. Lazy, sleepy dogs do well with it. I love to have Meet&Greets. I want you to feel comfortable with my space. If it turns out you are not on board 100%, I understand and have no hard feelings. The safety and happiness of your pet is everyone’s focus. Taking care of pets is my full time job so I am home based. I have a couple day care dogs during the work week and spend most of my day with them. I will follow through with your training and rules. Pets are spoiled with attention. I have a box of toys and treats for them. I will provide photos and videos plus regular updates.

About: I’ve taken care of animals (including exotics) of all kinds since I was around eight years old. Of course though since then I’ve gained experience of all kinds, so I’m more than prepared to adapt to best suit you and your pets needs. Furry, feathered, or scaled, animals will always come first. My services include everything from caring for senior cats, to training young puppies, to clearing out hamster cages and handling large birds. I’m flexible and ready to learn, and will always treat your pets as if they were my own. I’m currently working from home, so the income I have is typically earned through apps like these or via commission work. My schedule, as a result is self managed, with my only technical limitations coming from having to care for my own little zoo at home. Times and payment is flexible! I now live in a home but can’t update the app to reflect that. Baby gates are typically used to separate animals who may not get along, but otherwise, my home is their home. From lounging on the couch, to sleeping on the sunny screened in patio, to retreating to the safety of a comfy kennel. I can tend to minor wounds, cater to unruly behavior, and provide one on one care as needed. There is a 8ft fenced in yard in the back. Whatever you want, I’ll be there to take care of.

“Ideen is amazing! He took great care of our miniature poodle Mariachi while we were away and gave us updates on how our pooch was doing. If you're thinking of booking him, do it now!”

About: When my rescue dog Honey came into my life, I had to learn a lot about loving reactive dogs! I know how hard it can be to find someone you trust to care for a difficult dog when you need it. Please note that all rates on Rover are my base rates. After a meet and greet where we discuss your dog's needs, any rates may be increased accordingly with services required. For overnight stays with high anxiety, very high energy, or other cases that require specialized care, expect at least $50 per night for a single dog. I have a very flexible schedule and can accommodate almost anything! I would prefer 2 days notice, but I understand life can change quickly and your pup still needs care. I will do my best with same day requests but cannot offer a guarantee. With my own dog at home, I cannot offer boarding, but I am more than happy to come see your dog in their home environment. I am happy to do drop ins or walks for homes with cats, however I cannot stay overnight in homes with cats due to allergies.

“Shireen was super sweet and professional! Definitely felt like my baby was in good hands! Thank you so much for take us so shortly and providing Xion with an awesome time!”

“My two boys loved staying at Amber‘s!! We had to find someone to watch our boys for two weeks while we were in Europe at the last minute because their regular sitter had a medical emergency. So glad to have found Amber. They had the best time there!!”

“Vanessa did an amazing job with my two girls! She was extremely easy and flexible to work with, and understood each of their individual quirks & needs. One of my dogs is very scared of people and she even was cuddling next to Vanessa by the end of their stay. Both of my dogs loved her and I will definitely be using her again in the future!”

They communicated often with me and were so so nice! i definitely would recommend, they took the time to get to know me and my dog and made sure everyone was comfortable! i will definitely book them again!”

“Rachel was amazing and did a great job of watching Zoë and making her feel safe while I was away for a weekend. Even getting her nice treats for her birthday week. Hope she is available next time I am in need of boarding in this area. I recommend her to everyone!”

“Judy was an amazing sitter for our pups! She has an large yard for them to run around in and she gave them so much love and attention. We have a senior dog that requires oral medication and she was very knowledgeable on how to take care of him. She sent pictures regularly as well. We highly recommend Judy and will be using her again!”

“Anna and her family took in my dog Buddy. I was nervous leaving him because buddy had severe separation anxiety and is really mean towards people he is unfamiliar with.

“I was so happy to find Lily last minute for my trip this weekend when a previous sitter fell through. She was incredibly responsive through the entire process, and I know my dog had a great time with her and her family. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and she will definitely be my go-to sitter moving forward!”

“Our dog Tulla had a great time at Ben's house and playing with his dog. They have a nice backyard for outside play. Ben was very responsive to our questions and sent us pictures and updates.

“Shelby and Anthony were fantastic with Gator. They were super responsive, sent lots of updates, and just gave him all the love he needed! I would recommend them to anyone looking for a sitter!”

“Hannah was fantastic! We loved receiving the pics and videos of Murphy during his stay. 10/10 would recommend Hannah to anyone on Rover. Murphy can’t wait for his next visit!”

“Great with dogs! I have a super high energy Malinois, and I could tell that he genuinely had a great day with her and her dogs. If she lived closer to me, she’d for sure be my regular doggy daycare!”

“Carrington was great, and very considerate & caring for my pup, Sammy. Was great with communication & amazing with sending updates & pictures, which was greatly appreciated!”

“Andre and her family did a fantastic job caring for our mini bernedoodle! Andre was prompt with all communication and scheduling was easy. Her home is welcoming and Biscotti really enjoyed playing with their sweet lab and snuggling her kids. We could tell Biscotti was well-cared for when we brought her back home- she was calm and happy and jumped right back into our family routines- like she had a great vacation too! Thanks, Andre and fam! We’ll definitely book with Andre again.”

About: I grew up on a farm surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, cows so caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I’m comfortable with pets of all ages, from playful puppies to sweet seniors. Pet care fits really easily into my routine. I work during the day, but I have free time at lunch, after work, and even early mornings for drop-ins or walks. I’m also around most weekends! Whether I’m in your home or caring for your pet during a walk or drop-in, I follow your routines closely so everything feels familiar.

About: I have an 11 year old rescued and very mellow plott hound dog. I have been watching friends dogs for over 5 years and have no issues with any type of dog in my past experiences. I work from home so I am able to take your dog to the bathroom and walks to unity park throughout the day. Your dog will be in good hands and it will be an enjoyable day for them I work from home and will have a relative easy way to drop off your pet. Your pet will go on at least 2 walks per day and go outside to the bathroom at least 3-4 times a day and more if needed. I have one dog and we will be in an apartment by ourselves. Have plenty of room for 1-2 additional dogs. I can communicate at mostly anytime of the day if any issues arise. Your pet will have a safe space inside and I do have an enclosed balcony if they would like to sunbathe.
“Megan was available last minute after having trouble getting a sitter. She kept us updated with pictures everyday. Our boy came back happy & tired. I will be using her again in the future! Thank you!”
