About: I live in a family home with a big fenced in yard. We are close to a lot of state parks and trails to walk/run throughout the day. I am home all day with my four kids and 2 dogs. Our dogs love to play but will also relax and cuddle for hours. I understand each animal is different and I can cater to your animal's personal needs. My dog loves meeting and having new friends to play with. My children also love dogs and will play with them all day but understand when they want to be done. We are a animal loving family and would do everything your pet needs to feel at home and feel safe while you're out and about. We hope to see you soon! I have plenty of time to spend with your animals while you are away! I am at home taking care of my children and dogs and available most of the time. I have a fenced in yard, so there’s plenty of room to run or lay in the sun. You’ll be able to contact me anytime while you are gone to get pictures and updates of your pet.
“Brittany was amazing with our dogs. She was prompt, took our big boy for walks and sent us pictures everyday. She was also very understanding with our little old man and his special needs. We will be definitely be using her again.”

“Kat did an excellent job caring for our dog when we were away for the day! She came by twice to take our dog out and to feed him dinner. Will definitely be contacting her again when we need assistance!”

About: I treat every pet like they’re my own because I know how much they mean to you. I don’t just “watch” animals I take the time to learn their routine, personality, and little quirks so they feel comfortable, safe, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’ve worked with both puppies and senior pets, so I understand how different their needs can be. Whether it’s helping reinforce potty training and leash habits for younger dogs, or giving extra patience, gentle care, and medication support for older pets, I adjust to what your pet needs. You’ll never be left wondering how things are going. I send regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy and in good hands. At the end of the day, my goal is simple: Give your pet a stress free, loving experience and give you total peace of mind. Throughout the week, I stay flexible so I can accommodate different routines, whether it’s early morning visits, evening checkins, or multiple visits per day. I also build in time for updates, so pet owners always know how their pet is doing. Since I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, it’s not just a task, it’s something I look forward to, making it easy to give each pet the care and attention they deserve. I provide care based on what makes each pet most comfortable, whether that’s in my home or yours. In a client’s home, I stick closely to your pet’s normal routine feeding, litter box cleaning, playtime, and quiet companionship, so they feel safe in their own space. I’m respectful of your home and keep everything clean and consistent.
About: For as long as I can remember, there has always been animals in my house, but the last 13 years are where my real growth has happened for me as a pet parent and carer. In my own home, there’s always been a variety from dogs to hedgehogs to cats to lizards. I have often found myself as a haven for wayward creatures in need of respite. I have experience caring for, raising, and training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs. I work full time as a teacher but I am often around on the weekends and evenings and am happy and able to make pets a part of my routine! Any space I am in is always treated with the upmost respect— I don’t touch what isn’t mine, I don’t touch what I don’t need to. Integrity and honesty are paramount. If there is an issue with anything, I of course will be upfront about it, as that is what I would expect and want from anyone in my home. Trusting me to come into your home is a big deal, and I would never want to jeopardize your peace of mind.
About: I’ve taken care of many different dogs since I was little my father taught me to love and take care of animals from a young age. I’m currently unemployed I do a few babysitting jobs here and there but my schedule is very open I always move my schedule around to fit the needs of the pets I’m babysitting and of their owners as I like to make sure to stick to their daily routine so the pet feels comfortable I live in a mobile home so no fenced in yard my fur babies get walked on a leash and certain times of the day usually when there’s no other dogs around as mine are small dogs they get nervous around big dogs but they are very friendly I make sure to keep them safe always checking the surroundings I’m very protective of my fur babies but also those that are in my care make sure they are safe well fed and clean i usually have wipes for my babies that I use in between baths or if their paws get dirty I’ll clean them up I also check to see if they need nail trimming and I give them treats when they are well behaved which is all the time I run around with them when inside of the house they do have a kennel usually in their when it’s bed time and sometimes during the day when I’m babysitting kids they tend to get nervous but are super friendly with kids they just sometimes get overwhelmed so I put them in their safe space and they’ll usually sleep or play around with their stuffed toys and I’ll take them out either every thirty minutes to an hour or every two hours to either go potty or to walk around the house
“I’m always worried about leaving my cat Addie when I go on trips. Nicole was a terrific find! She was professional, sent daily photos/updates, and took great care of Addie. She even brought in all of my mail. I will definitely use Nicole again for future trips.”

About: I have a lot of people on my behalf that would recommend me to sit your animals. I have the biggest heart for every animal! Dog sitting fits my schedule very well, with weekday availability after 5 PM for walks, feeding, and care, and flexible, devoted time throughout my weekends. I prefer to watch your animal at your home, ensuring comfort and familiarity for them, unless an emergency happens that requires alternate arrangements for their care.
About: *I have been taking care of pets not only on a personal level for over 20 years but on a professional level as well for 10 years. I have prior experience as a veterinary technician assistant and can handle pets no matter what the situation may be. I have prior experience with senior pets or even pets with special needs. I of course have experience with pets that are full of energy and love to play. And we can't forget about the puppies who need help with socializing and potty training. I can also give baths, ear cleaning and nail trims as well just let me know. *All animals are unique in their own special way, they have things they like and things they do not like, while in my care I can promise that their care will be fitted to your fur babies needs while you are away. *I am always available to give your fur baby all the love and attention they need while you are away. I am available for drop ins, daycare, boarding just let me know the dates and times that you are needing and we can get it arranged. *I live in a house on a secluded 1.32 acres of land along with a large fenced yard. I have 2 small children as well but trust me I have experience with spicy animals as well as making sure safety is a priority. I have 5 friendly dogs that would love to have play dates or I can easily crate or separate my own personal pets or your pets (with your permission) if needed. If crating is not an option my house is set up to where I can keep my personal pets and your pets separated from each other without the need of crates. I also have plenty of toys and even a doggy pool to help keep your fur babies happy while you are away. I offer the option of pickup/drop offs being done but only by meeting outside, I do not want the fur babies to feel like I am taking them away from their owner. Thank you for your understanding and support in this matter! I am currently a stay at home mom. I have two beautiful children along with 5 very spoiled dogs that I consider my own children as well. I have a fenced yard and crates if you are okay with crating. I also have baby gates as well. If dogs need to have separation time that is understandable or if they need to be separated 100% of the time I can have that set up with no issues. Everyone's safety is 100% important no matter what.

For the past 6 months, I’ve also been helping with pet sitting and dog care, including walks, feeding, playtime, and providing a calm, consistent routine. I always aim to make pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. That said, I do my best to be flexible and accommodate requests whenever possible. I’m typically available for care in both areas, including weekends and many weekdays, including holidays with a proper heads up, and I’m happy to coordinate times that work best for you and your pet’s routine. About: I began house sitting in high school for close family friends and neighbors. The first family who trusted me had quite the crew — two birds, a turtle, two senior cats, a dog, and even a couple of fish. Caring for their pets, especially the cats, taught me early on how important consistency and attention to routines can be. Since then, I’ve cared for and walked many dogs while babysitting and nannying, both for short visits and overnight stays. I understand the level of detail it takes to help pets feel comfortable and to give owners peace of mind while they’re away. I also have experience caring for pets with medical needs. My own dog tore his ACL while I was in college, and for months I carried him up and down stairs while managing his recovery. He also had allergies that required daily medicated baths, a special diet, and multiple medications. He was clever enough to try to outsmart me when it came to pills, which taught me patience, creativity, and a sense of humor when caring for animals. I truly believe every pet has a unique personality. I approach pet care with attentiveness, patience, and playfulness so animals feel safe, understood, and well cared for. My goal is always happy pets and complete peace of mind for their owners. I work a full-time schedule during the week, but I’m happy to provide care before and after work and occasionally in the evenings depending on timing and location. With advance notice, I’m also happy to adjust my weekend schedule to fit your pet’s routine. I do my best to accommodate requests whenever possible. I treat my pets as family, and I have witnessed my family and friends care for pets as if they are a child. On days I couldn’t bring my dog along, I trusted the people watching him to do the same, and maybe even add a little extra love for missing his family.

“Dawn is amazing. She took great care of our fur baby while we were gone. We gave specific instructions and they were followed to the letter. She is always willing to arrange a pre-visit get-together and always goes above the expectations. She really enjoys animals and it shows. She was a great choice and we continue to use her services, whenever she is available. Thanks!”

“Daniel is amazing!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better sitter to watch and take care of my cats! He sent a lot of photos and kept us updated regularly. He really goes above and beyond to make sure your animals are cared for exactly as you wished.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
