“So happy with the care my pets received from Natalie! Even with unforeseen issues, she was able to handle things and my pets received excellent care. I loved getting updates and photos so I knew they were being cared for. Will book again if she’s available.”

“Vanessa is amazing there should be 10 stars on here! She has excellent communication very professional took fantastic care of my pets played with them cared for them. She made me feel at ease leaving them with her. If you’re looking for a top-notch sitter, Vanessa is the person you want to work with!”

“Carly was great! I had to book her last minute because my dog walker fell through. She was flexible and accommodating and made my time away from home stress free. She always showed up on time and kept me updated about my pup. I would definitely have Carly watch Stella again!”

“Jennifer took incredible care of my two-year-old cat, and I couldn’t be happier! This was my first time having someone outside of my family pet sit, so I was definitely nervous — but Jennifer instantly put me at ease. I left very specific instructions and shared my worries with her, and she went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. She kept me updated after every visit with detailed reports and plenty of photos, which I truly appreciated. From her updates and the way my little guy looked in the pictures, I could tell he trusted her completely and felt safe and loved in her care. I’m so grateful I chose Jennifer and would book her again and again without hesitation. If you’re looking for someone reliable, caring, and attentive, I highly recommend her!”

About: I grew up with dogs from the age of 10. I am often called the pet whisperer by family and friends because their pets often do things they don't normally do with people they don't know well. I have a very flexible schedule and will be able to accommodate the needs of the pets to walk and feed take care of them from daily to weekly where needed. At this time I do not have any yard space or ability to have pets stay with me at my house. I am willing to stay at the pet owners home if needed or stop by for their care needs.
“Melissa is our go-to helper with our Misty, anf Misty loves her. It's great knowing Misty will get some love and good care from Melissa when we have to leave her.”

“Sarah was wonderful. Our two girls took to her from the first meeting. Our Mollie has a bit of anxiety but she instantly showed her affection. Thank you Sarah- You are on our list.”

“Olivia is amazing! So kind & affectionate & attentive w my pups. She was able to precisely follow my exhaustive list of instructions. I would highly recommend her, especially w large dogs (including an elderly crabby one & a young exuberant one!). Can’t wait to book her again :)”

“Joyce was absolutely incredible. I needed a last-minute sitter who would be able to administer both oral and ophthalmic medications to my cat, Charlie. She didn’t even hesitate and said she’d be able to do it. She came twice a day and kept me updated with both pictures and texts to let me know Charlie’s improvements while I was away. I knew he was in great, loving hands. I wish I had found her sooner! I will be reaching out to her again when I need a sitter. She’s the best!”

About: I’ve always been very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I previously worked as a pet sitter caring for a home with 7 cats and understand how important routine, cleanliness, patience, and attention are for pets while their owners are away. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I already care for multiple cats of my own every day. I’m currently available Wednesday evenings, Thursdays, and Fridays for drop-in visits and pet sitting. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets are fed, comfortable, and given attention while their owners are away. I always prioritize creating a calm, safe, and clean environment for every pet I care for. I understand how important routines are for animals, especially cats, and I carefully follow feeding instructions, litter box cleaning, medications if needed, and any special care requests. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and focus on making pets feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free while their owners are away.

About: Good Morning! I am Janiya and I’m excited to introduce myself! As an animal science graduate student, my journey with dogs began at a young age. I have been caring for my own dogs since I was just 10 years old, which has given me a deep understanding of canine behavior and needs. My academic background in animal science has equipped me with a solid foundation in animal care, health, and behavior. Through my coursework, I have gained insights into various aspects of veterinary medicine, nutrition, and training techniques. This knowledge allows me to provide not only basic care but also specialized attention tailored to each dog's unique requirements. In addition to my studies, I actively engage in clinical hours at a local veterinary clinic under the guidance of a certified veterinarian and vet tech. This hands on experience is invaluable. It has allowed me to observe and participate in real-world scenarios involving pet health care. From administering medications to understanding common health issues, this practical exposure enhances my ability to recognize signs of distress or illness in dogs while I am sitting or walking them. I’m currently working during the week so I’m available currently on the weekends anytime and will update my hours if need be due to obtaining a set schedule for clinical hours. I believe establishing a consistent daily routine is crucial for both dogs. This includes regular feeding times, exercise, and bathroom breaks. For my husky, who is energetic and playful, I ensure she gets at least an hour of vigorous exercise each day. This includes walks, runs, or playtime in the yard. My cockapoo also enjoys playtime but requires slightly less intense activity due to his smaller size and older age. I ensure that my home environment is safe for both dogs by removing hazardous items such as toxic plants or small objects they could swallow inside and outside. Additionally, I use baby gates if necessary to restrict access to certain areas of the house where they might get into trouble. I have learned by following these steps consistently in caring for my husky and cockapoo at home, and applying similar principles when caring for clients' pets, I’ll create a nurturing environment that supports their health and happiness.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Chatsworth. On Rover:
- 89% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
