“Amber is awesome! She loves animals as much as I do. She makes sure my onyx gets his medicine and is safe and fed when I am away… she is a really good pet sitter.”

“Renee was very professional, always on time, and gave a good summary of each visits with photos. I’m very thankful for her as she was able to step in last minute for an extra visit which really helped me a lot as I’m traveling! I highly recommend and will recommend Renee to all my friends!”

About: For the past 9 years, I’ve had the joy of sharing life with my sweet chocolate Lab, exploring trails, going on countless hikes, and making unforgettable memories together. Our adventures have deepened my love for animals and inspired me to offer that same care and companionship to your pup. Whether it’s a calm walk or a lively visit, I bring experience, patience, and genuine love to every pet I care for. I work fully remote, which allows me the flexibility to incorporate pet care seamlessly into my daily routine. I currently have three fun-loving pups at home who keep me company and make my work breaks extra joyful with playtime and cuddles. I'm available for evening walks, and if needed, I can stay at your home while you are away—bringing my laptop along so your pet has company while I work. Your furry friend will get all the love and attention they deserve, just like my own. When staying in your home, I treat it with the same respect and care as I would my own. I understand the trust it takes to welcome someone into your space, and I take that responsibility seriously. Your pup’s safety and comfort are my top priorities—I’ll follow your routines closely, keep a watchful eye, and ensure they feel relaxed and loved while you’re away. You can count on a clean, calm environment when you return and the peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in caring, capable hands.

About: I’ve been taking care of my own pets since 2014. I currently have five dogs and three cats that take care of each day. They are my babies. I am a teacher on my summer break so my schedule is quite open apart from taking care of my own 5 pups and 3 cats. I offer drop in visits where I can spend time playing with your pup or cat, I can feed them, give them fresh water, and I also offer walking services.
“I’ve used Sara twice now for drop in feedings for my two cats while away. Once for a long weekend and another time for a full week. She’s excellent and I’d highly recommend her. Everything went so well - I couldn’t have asked for more. My two shy cats loved her too which made me so happy. Thanks again Sara!”

“Lauren provided amazing service! She was attentive, reliable, and treated my sister's cat with so much care. I felt completely at ease knowing she were in her hands. I will definitely be booking her again.”

“Hi Claudia- thank you for taking care of our babies and w look forward to seeing you again in the future. We don’t need any help right now as our neighbor has recovered from her knee surgery. We will definitely keep you in mind if anything changes ! <3”

About: I’ve always been very comfortable around animals and genuinely enjoy caring for them. I previously worked as a pet sitter caring for a home with 7 cats and understand how important routine, cleanliness, patience, and attention are for pets while their owners are away. I also volunteer with Catsbury Park cat rescue and currently care for 6 cats of my own, so I have experience with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I already care for multiple cats of my own every day. I’m currently available Wednesday evenings, Thursdays, and Fridays for drop-in visits and pet sitting. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and always make sure pets are fed, comfortable, and given attention while their owners are away. I always prioritize creating a calm, safe, and clean environment for every pet I care for. I understand how important routines are for animals, especially cats, and I carefully follow feeding instructions, litter box cleaning, medications if needed, and any special care requests. I’m respectful of clients’ homes and focus on making pets feel comfortable, secure, and stress-free while their owners are away.

“Joyce was absolutely incredible. I needed a last-minute sitter who would be able to administer both oral and ophthalmic medications to my cat, Charlie. She didn’t even hesitate and said she’d be able to do it. She came twice a day and kept me updated with both pictures and texts to let me know Charlie’s improvements while I was away. I knew he was in great, loving hands. I wish I had found her sooner! I will be reaching out to her again when I need a sitter. She’s the best!”

About: Good Morning! I am Janiya and I’m excited to introduce myself! As an animal science graduate student, my journey with dogs began at a young age. I have been caring for my own dogs since I was just 10 years old, which has given me a deep understanding of canine behavior and needs. My academic background in animal science has equipped me with a solid foundation in animal care, health, and behavior. Through my coursework, I have gained insights into various aspects of veterinary medicine, nutrition, and training techniques. This knowledge allows me to provide not only basic care but also specialized attention tailored to each dog's unique requirements. In addition to my studies, I actively engage in clinical hours at a local veterinary clinic under the guidance of a certified veterinarian and vet tech. This hands on experience is invaluable. It has allowed me to observe and participate in real-world scenarios involving pet health care. From administering medications to understanding common health issues, this practical exposure enhances my ability to recognize signs of distress or illness in dogs while I am sitting or walking them. I’m currently working during the week so I’m available currently on the weekends anytime and will update my hours if need be due to obtaining a set schedule for clinical hours. I believe establishing a consistent daily routine is crucial for both dogs. This includes regular feeding times, exercise, and bathroom breaks. For my husky, who is energetic and playful, I ensure she gets at least an hour of vigorous exercise each day. This includes walks, runs, or playtime in the yard. My cockapoo also enjoys playtime but requires slightly less intense activity due to his smaller size and older age. I ensure that my home environment is safe for both dogs by removing hazardous items such as toxic plants or small objects they could swallow inside and outside. Additionally, I use baby gates if necessary to restrict access to certain areas of the house where they might get into trouble. I have learned by following these steps consistently in caring for my husky and cockapoo at home, and applying similar principles when caring for clients' pets, I’ll create a nurturing environment that supports their health and happiness.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
