“When I was injured and unable to walk my dog, Luna, Matthew was an absolute lifesaver. He showed up every single day; rain or shine; right on time, without fail. His reliability and dedication gave me such peace of mind during a challenging time. Not only was he dependable, but Luna absolutely adores him. It’s clear he genuinely cares about the dogs he walks. Matthew’s consistency, kindness, and professionalism have been an essential part of both my recovery and Luna’s happiness. I can’t recommend him enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring dog walker.”

“My two dogs had a great time with John. My neighbor saw him walking the dogs and was impressed with his enthusiasm and care. I agree. Thanks John for helping me out. I will definitely try to book John again the next time.”

About: I have had pets my entire life and love being around animals! I have pet sat for many friends and neighbors so I am very comfortable spending time with your furry friends! I am currently on summer break before I go to grad school and have a very light, flexible schedule so I have so much time to spend with your pups! I am open to taking care of your animals however they are most comfortable, whether that's going outside, being put in a crate, or however you seem best fit!

“Thank you for taking care of our Maddie. Margaret was kind enough to meet our girl before she came to walk and care for her. I loved the pictures and information received. My pup has a lot of separation anxiety and we were glad to have Margaret here to take care of her.”

“Danica promptly replies to all communications and has been super flexible with scheduling. Her calm demeanor has been great for my sometimes nervous dog. She has been a true asset walking Eligh while I recover from a broken ankle. Highly recommended!”

About: Animals have always been a central part of my life, as I grew up in a pet-loving household where we cared for everything from hamsters and turtles to multiple dogs, guinea pigs, ferrets, and even fish. I’ve also volunteered both formally and informally with local SPCA chapters and animal shelters from a young age, helping to walk, feed, and care for dogs of a variety of breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I have hands on experience with dogs who need extra attention and medical care. I've raised two dogs from puppyhood—my current dog, Sophia, and a pit bull my family had previously—and have done everything from potty training to leash work and daily routines. Sophia is diabetic and blind, so I’m no stranger to giving insulin shots, monitoring glucose levels, and understanding how to be patient and calm with pets who have special needs or anxiety. Whether it's caring for seniors, puppies, or pets with health conditions, I always aim to treat them like family because that’s exactly what they are. I am currently on break from school at the University of Delaware, so my schedule is pretty flexible. Preferably, I am available after 10:00 AM and before 8:00 PM. For overnights, I will stay with your pet for 12 hours (start/end depends on animals schedule) and do one drop in during the mid day. Reach out to me for additional care options (constant care, additional visits, etc.)! When I care for pets through walks or drop-in visits, I approach each home and animal with respect, patience, and awareness. I know every pet has their own personality, boundaries, and needs, so I'll never assume anything upon first meeting. I take time to observe their behavior, let them come to me at their own pace, and make sure we’re both comfortable before jumping into getting close and personal. This also helps me gauge what kind of interaction they’re ready for and to prioritize safety—for your pet and for myself—by staying alert to their body language, keeping a calm energy, and never rushing trust. I will follow any specific instructions you give closely, especially if your pet has particular sensitivities or routines. I also take practical steps on walks, like avoiding overly stimulating routes or unknown dogs, and I’m always careful with things like leashing, doors, or feeding to avoid stress or accidents. I recently earned a certificate from the American Red Cross in Pet CPR and First Aid, so I am prepared even for the worst situations (which I hope I never will have to be 😅).

“Cassandra was incredible. We used her 2x a day for a week, and she was extremely reliable, always early, and always left pics & reports! She was awesome and we will certainly look to her first if we ever use Rover again. Can’t recommend Cassandra enough!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of every kind since I was about 16 years old. I have plenty of experience with animals of all different shapes and sizes. I’m a ER nurse and I love to help others and will do everything in my power to make sure that your pet is in the best hands possible! Last but not least, I am also open to watching other furry friends such as bunnies, guinea pigs, hamsters and so forth! I’m a nurse and I have the ability to make my own schedule so essentially, you can tell me what days you need and I’ll can create my work schedule around that! I will be sure to always keep your pet on a leash when letting them use the bathroom outside. I currently have a mini aussiedoodle puppy at home. Once again, I care for cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, you name it!

About: Hi! My name is Joelle and I live and work in Wilmington, DE. My partner and I currently have four cats and a beagle/corgi mix! I’ve been pet-sitting dogs and cats for family, friends, neighbors and Rover clients for over 14 years and can’t imagine doing anything else with my free time! I am able to care for and have previous experience with up to 6 animals at a time. I'm currently offering drop-in care and dog walking services, with very limited availability for house sitting. References are available for anyone that is interested and I’d be happy to discuss making adjustments to the services/schedules I have listed if they don't match you or your pet’s specific needs. I work full-time and have a pretty flexible hybrid schedule. Most of my weeks are 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home and these days can be moved around as needed - especially to accommodate house sitting requests! While my work from home days change from week to week, I usually try to work from home on Thursdays and Fridays. For Mondays-Wednesdays when I am in the office I typically have the following availability (with some flexibility): Before 8:00am 12:00-1:00pm After 4:00pm If you feel like I would be a good fit for you and your pets but aren't sure if the schedules would line up well, please reach out! I am happy to switch my in-the-office days with work-from-home days if needed :) My goal while your pet is in my care is to create a relaxing and stress-free environment for them. I prefer to care for animals in their own home so that they are in an environment they are familiar with while also being surrounded by their favorite toys/things. I’m also big on routine and positive reinforcement! In my opinion, following the same routine as normal helps reduce stress on your pet while you’re away and I’m more than happy to recreate those routines for them.

I would care for pets in the most responsible and loving way. I made sure all pets are safe, feed and happy! I prioritize the safety of all animals above everything.

“Hannah is one of the most caring and compassionate people I know - and this is more clear than ever when she is with animals. She is always patient, and carries with her a calming presence, which might be why I've never seen a dog that didn't love her immediately. Beyond that, Hannah is incredibly responsible and trustworthy - and as a cat mom herself, she knows as well as anyone how important it is that your pet be in the hands of someone who will love and car for them properly. I would never hesitate (and haven't!) to have Hannah watch, walk, and spend time with my dog!!”
