“We had a really great experience! Jett & Denver were well taken care of, and it was obvious they were happy. We got tons of updates and pictures, which we really appreciated. They were also super accommodating to our pets’ needs, which made everything so much easier. Will definitely book again!”

“Tucker was excited to spend the day at dog camp. He leaped out of the car. Tucker came home extremely happy. Tucker has more of a bounce in his step. Thank you for making our dog’s week. Great place to leave your dog”

“Scott was fantastic. Our pups had a great time with Scott and Nico. They were definitely well cared for and they made new friends. We would happily use Scott again when we visit Palm Springs!”

About: I have 7 dogs, and 7 snakes, a pet rat and a pet bunny. I also have 4 children. I'm an active person who loves to work with animals. I have a wide range of animal experiences. I went to school and got my vet assisting certificate. My dogs enjoy playing in our fenced in yard and playing with the kids who are always excited. During the summer my dogs and I enjoy bikejoring and in the winter if there is enough snow we go dog sledding. I do offer training services if you have an active pup who needs a "job" to do. In this house we treat any visiting dog as if they are apart of the family. I currently work full time, but it's overnights. I am home during the day with my children and pets. We spend a lot of time together playing in the new yards. At night my spouse is home. I have a fully fenced in yard, I have 2 house dogs and 5 outside dogs (in their own space.) Your dog(s) will be treated like family in our home.
“Fantastic, willing to work with uncertain pick up & drop off times . Willing to go out of her way to do a meet & great before dropping her off the following day . My dog was comfortable with her house was perfect and secure”

“Outstanding and fun care. Great communication and I picked up a happy, tired pup. Excellent fenced yard and shade for 'galloping' and rest. Sitter's dog and mine were compatible. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended.”

About: I have had dogs and cats nearly all of my 36 years. I have experience with walking and caring for dogs from 5 lbs to 150 lbs. I currently have a beautiful male pit bull boxer mix that loves other dogs as well. My children, ages 4 years and 9 years both love animals and would love to play with your pets! I have a very flexible schedule and enjoy going for walks. As a stay at home mother I am glad to earn some income while easing the stresses of having to be away from your pets while working or travelling. Please contact me with any questions you may have so I can start helping you and your pets today! As a stay at home mom I am quite flexible. Other than drop off and pick up times for school I am open and free. I am always cautious with new animals and slow to introduce my pets to yours if it becomes necessary. Taking cues from the animals and soft confident speech are the way to go.
“Alison is our favorite dog sitter. She is very responsible, great with communication, really takes the time to understand our dog’s needs. She works from home but always takes time to take our dog out for walks or play with her. You can really tell she loves dogs. We couldn’t recommend her more.”

“I am an overprotective veterinary professional/Karen here... so I'm shocked that I found someone I'm so confident saying this about, but... Jennifer could NOT be a better, safer, more reliable, more loving, more careful and cautious pet sitter. My best friend and I were in Olympia for a few days recently for an event, and I needed somewhere for my three beautiful black crazies to be for that day. I'd spoken with some other pet sitters, but wasn't impressed, and I was getting more and more stressed out about it. Luckily, at the 13th hour, someone my daughter works with recommended Jennifer. As soon as we walked into her home, I knew I'd found my "person". Her entire house is set up to be a doggie Disneyland. Her yard is ENORMOUS, fully enclosed, and has natural ground. (Which is great, because I always worry about ACL injuries when dogs are running on concrete or slippery grass.) Within the first 10 minutes of being there, my autistic adult dog relieved herself completely, which she hadn't done throughout the prior three days we were traveling. And then... the most amazing thing of all... she started ZOOMING around the yard! I have had her for five years, and had never seen her like that before. She was like a bullet, flying through the air, unstoppable in her joy and speed. Her puppy brothers struggled to keep up with her, but couldn't. It was one of the most beautiful things I'd ever seen. I felt so, so comfortable leaving my three babies with her. I'd never felt that comfortable with anyone. Beyond that, Jennifer was friendly and incredibly flexible. It's clear she really loves dogs. I told her that if I ever make the 1,000-plus mile trip again, it would be so that my dogs could visit her, and NOT so that I could see my daughter. Joking...? I think not. Thank you, Jennifer! We need a million more "yous" everywhere. 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡”

“Darby has been very supportive and flexible with her schedule and availability to help out as we navigate a challenging time in our life. Our dog loves going to her house, and we get great photos of our dog!”

“Michael was very pleasant to work with for dog sitting! I also appreciated that he accepted the booking the day before my early appointment, and that he sent picture updates throughout the day.”

“Bobbie is the best. Took great care of Barry. Was friendly and nice to work with. She’s flexible with her schedule, so I can pick up my pup when it works best for me. And she’s really reasonably priced.”
“Caitlin has been amazing with Nai’a! Though Nai’a is an anxious pup, she liked Caitlin instantly when we met the first time. Since then Nai’a has stayed over at Caitlin’s a few times and once Caitlin watched her at our house. One of the biggest challenges with Nai’a is that she runs away from her sitters. But, with Caitlin it’s finally been working out well and I feel so relieved to have found a regular sitter! Caitlin sends photos regularly and Nai’a seems to have fun at her house with her pups. Also, she is really sweet and flexible. Thanks so much for everything Caitlin!”

“When I read Jerrie’s reviews, a lot of folks described their experience as awesome. They were right, awesome was the first word I thought of when I sat down to right this review. I needed last minute weekend daycare and Jerrie was thankfully available. Jerrie gave lots of updates and pictures, which a dog having the time of her life. In fact when we came back the next day my pup got so excited when she realized where we were. I love the Harper J had all the space to run and meet new friends. Highly recommend.”

“Hi Scott, Thank you so much to you and your family! You were all awesome and took care of Olive as if she were part of the family. She felt right at home from the very first day, and the atmosphere in your home was incredibly welcoming. We truly appreciate everything you did.”

About: I want to care for and spoil your dogs just as you would if you could be home. I have been working with pups going on 8 years. I began by walking dogs at a local humane society, then on to becoming a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. I absolutely love dog sitting and I have the skills to administer medications. Currently I facilitate small enriched dog play groups during the day and in the evening I provide private dog training. I am just as comfortable working with giant breeds as I am with the tiniest. While sitting for your pup I can take them for walks, go to a dog park, and go for hikes. I will send you pictures of your pup daily and keep you updated. I also don’t mind you checking in as often as you need to feel comfortable. I know it’s hard to be away from your your four legged friends. I hope to become one of your dogs best friends! I run a doggy adventure day camp that your dog can join in while boarding. I hike daily M-F with all the pups in my care. We frequent the local forest as well as I fenced sniff spots. While in my home you can rest assured knowing that your dog is being spoiled, loved, and supervised. My yard is fenced in which makes potty breaks easy! All dogs are kept in separate areas while eating and dogs are pups are kept separate if I have to go run an errand.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in WA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
