“Communicative, caring and pleasant. Allison helped me with my fur baby while my roommate was out of town, last minute might I add!!! She genuinely loves what she does, and spreads the love to her fur friends. Would definitely rebook her for the future!”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple kinds of dogs and cats for family and friends ever since I was a little kid, and owned both kitties and doggies of different breeds most of my life. I’ve read a few training books for doggies, stayed multiple nights for pet sitting, volunteered at pet shops, worked at pet stores, handled kittens and puppies with care, worked with senior cats and dogs, as well as other barn animals as well! I am currently working a part time job in silverdale, usually around 10-15 hours a week. I always receive my schedule at least a week in advance, so I just need time to plan around that. Otherwise, I’m a fairly open schedule! I have experience with crating dogs and giving them daily medicines if needed, or any unique care. If there is ever at all an emergency situation, I will call you immediately while also taking your dog to the vet.
“Lisa saved us and Oakley because I had to be gone much longer than planned. She knows the drill with Oakley and he seems to feel very comfortable with her. She's a keeper for sure!”

About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, and I have taken care of cats. Our family has had 6 dogs and 2 cats over the years. We currently have 4 at home now while I am at college. I take care of 1 of the four dogs regularly when I am at home and before I left for college. The month before I left for college we got a puppy that I helped take care of regularly, especially when my siblings were at High School. I took her out very often during the day, played with her, and fed her 3 times a day, while also taking care of my dog. When my siblings' High School started, I began to care for all 4 dogs, and made sure they had food, water and regular outside time to get out their energy. My experience says 9 years because our oldest dog now is 9. I helped out when I was younger, but had full responsibility once we got another dog (the one I take care of regularly) 7 years ago. I also have experience with cats, as we had one for 4 years. I have also helped out to rescue feral kittens and know how to be gentle with scared cats. As for pet sitting, I have done jobs requiring 2 week house sitting while in my Hometown, and had jobs that require me to come and feed the pets during meal times. I know how to go on walks with dogs, as I have biked and walked with my own dogs and others I have pet-sat many times. I am currently home for the summer from College, and I am available unless I am booked full for sitting and walking. I am trying to earn money this summer on many different side jobs, and I can work my pet sitting/walking around my side-work schedule. As for pet care in my client's home, I can accommodate to your needs. I have most often taken care of the dog inside the house for food and water and take the dog out for walks or in the yard to go to the bathroom.
About: I’ve been in a dog household since I was in middle school, and I’ve been the caretaker of as many as 5 dogs at a time. I am home from the summer from university and currently have an open schedule with many opportunities for dog care. I have availability 7 days a week with weekdays preferred. I love keeping pets company and spending time with them to make sure they can get their energy out. I am capable of taking multiple dogs at a time, but also can take out one at a time if necessary. I have good etiquette regarding doors and know how to watch so sneaky dogs don’t escape.
About: We have taken care of dogs of all breeds. We will play with them, take them for walks, clean up after them, give them medication when needed. We will get them their meals on time everytime. We are currently retired, so we have plenty of time to spend caring for your pets. We love animals and would love to help you take care of yours. Your pet is one of your family members, just as my pets are my members of my family. Their safety and well being are of the upmost importance.

“Brie is amazing with my dogs Rosie and Daisy. They absolutely love her. I have called upon her on short notice a couple times and she has rushed right over to help me out. I can not reiterate how amazing she is! 10 out of 10 I recommend her!”

About: Lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience! I grew up with multiple dogs and have spent years walking and caring for pets, including overnight stays. I’m comfortable with different routines, energy levels, and personalities—and I always make sure every dog feels safe, happy, and cared for. Mondays–Wednesdays are my off days and my most flexible time. I work Thursday–Sunday afternoons starting around 2, and my mornings are usually reserved for staying active—walks, workouts, or anything that gets me moving. I don’t have pets currently, but I’ve grown up caring for family and friends’ dogs and I’m comfortable with most breeds, prioritizing calm, safe, attentive care.

About: I have taken care of different types of animals from dogs, cats, bearded dragons, turtles, and many more! I love all animals and have the time to care and love them. I am currently a part time student studying online at my own pace. My days are up to my own schedule and time management and I can fit in pet care as dictated by the pet! I have a large apartment and large parks and many trails surrounding my apartment which I walk a lot. Inside, there is much room to explore and relax
About: I have been with Rover for four years, I’m learning a lot and having so much fun doing so. I enjoy using Rover to interact with dogs of all breeds and ages. I do have lots more previous experience before Rover but so far this has been the best experience with meeting new people and their dogs. I just recently earned a certificate in dog training with Animal behavioral college. It was a 18 month extensive program and I learned a lot with studying and hands on training. Message me for any questions you have about dog training. With all of my volunteer experience in shelters, and with my own pets, I am comfortable with giving medicine or following any special instructions. I have a fenced back yard with lots of space to run and play. We frequent all the local trails, no matter the weather, so if you need a tired dog, I am your go to Walker or doggie daycare provider! Message me for all your overnight/ extended stay questions. I also care for other animals, so please feel free to message me for cats, birds, exotics, reptiles, etc. I do this full time so my schedule is all about pet care! I set time for long dog walks, playtime, and I work with your feeding schedule. Pets always have water available to them, I keep my backyard tidy and poop free, dog friendly toys only, healthy treats, I stay on feeding schedules, safe walks, and I never leave your pet unattended with children or other animals.

About: I’ve been around dogs since child hood and taken care of my two dogs from adulthood into their old age. I have done daylong sitting for both elderly and young dogs, including plenty of walks. I have also cared for two dogs and two cats at once for just under a week. Animals have always been a part of my family. I am on summer break and have plenty of free time to play with cute pets. I am available most weekends and every day of the week, almost anytime. Whatever your pet requires is what I will give. I will give your pet a safe environment that respects the boundaries and needs of your animal. Give me a list of requirements and I’m more than happy to oblige. I do not do pet boarding.
About: Responsible dog lover with experience caring for rescue dogs and elderly dogs! Need help with your fur-baby? I love dogs and have experiencing walking dogs, fostering shelter dogs, and house sitting. I am comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and ages and will reinforce any behavior training you and your dog are working on. I’m organized, caring and very responsible. Looking forward to hearing from you! I am a travel PT with a love for animals but move around too much for work to have my own pets t the moment. I work outside of the home so I can accommodate morning and evening walks/potty breaks and evening cuddles! I prefer to care for your pets in your own home (house sitting and drop-ins, not boarding or day-care), as the environment is familiar and it makes everything less stressful for them. I ask for detailed instructions on any routines and schedules your dog is used to and any behaviors you want me to reinforce to make the transition as smooth as possible for your pet.
About: Growing up, we always had a house full of dogs and I’ve carried that love for dogs with me wherever I go! From potty training to giving medications, I’ll be able to care for your pup as I would my own! I currently work very close to home, so I am able to swing by several times a day to care for the pups. I have two pups of my own, so I am consistently in dog mom mode! I have two fenced areas at my home and your pup will always be 100% supervised! I also have two dogs myself so your pup will be sure to have a friend! We have a small and large kennel as well as plenty of toys!
“Cassie has been walking our two dogs twice a week, and we couldn’t be happier. She’s attentive and makes sure both dogs get the exercise and care they need. I really appreciate the updates and photos after each walk—it’s clear she genuinely cares about them. Reliable, kind, and professional; we’re lucky to have found her!”

About: I have worked in veterinary medicine for 10 years (6 years with Companion Animal Wellness Center and 2 years with Tender Touch Animal Hospital, and two years with animal emergency and speciality center) and I also worked in animal rescue for two years at Pasado's Safe Haven. I love dogs of all kinds and enjoy learning about what they enjoy and how I can help them live happy and healthy lives! I've helped two clinics implement cat friendly practice standards and have a solid understanding of cat behavior. I am comfortable giving medications and know when medical care is needed. I am also a pet owner myself and understand how important it is that you be able to trust your pet caregiver to treat them like family! I teach special education now and so am pretty busy during the school year. If my 12 year old son can come, he’s great with animals too, and I can be more flexible then. Feel free to ask me if something will work! Over the summer I am very available, only needing to be home for about 4-6 hours a day to take care of my own dog. If your dogs are pet social and you don’t have cats ( too fun to chase!), I can stay all day. During the school year, I am gone from 7am until 5 or 6pm, so realistically can only do weekends or solely overnight care. I know the level of trust it takes to leave your fur children with someone new. I will follow your directions and try to keep things as steady for them as possible. My son and I love animals of all shapes and sizes and we love playing with and spending time with them.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Central Valley
I used Ashley for several months for weekly dog walks with my dog Murphy and she was wonderful! Very easy to communicate with, flexible and very reliable! She took great care of Murphy and he looked forward to seeing her every week! I highly recommend Ashley!

Regina has saved our tails now on multiple occasions. I recently and regrettably booked with other pet sitting site for a long term sit and found out they weren't fulfilling their responsibilities to walk our dog. I was out of state and felt completely helpless. Regina stepped in when I needed her. My dog loves her and she put me completely at ease during a stressful situation. We love her and couldn't recommend her enough!

- 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
