Mike was amazing with our dog Oli when we went on vacation. He sent pictures and kept us up to date on how he was doing. It was so comforting to know Oli was in good hands while we were away. I would highly recommend.

We were so blessed to find Sue with such late notice. Our little bear means so much to us but the Airbnb we were staying at didn’t allow pets. Sue took him in without hesitation and opened up her home with so much love and kindness for our senior pup. He felt right at home doing all of his normal habits as if he were staying with family. We loved that she sent us videos and pics through out his stay to ensure he was taken care of. I highly recommend Sue and if you are looking for the best sitter to look after your fur baby. She is clearly an animal lover and will only provide the best service! If we are ever in the area and need help looking after our little bear we know who to call. Thank you for everything Sue we are so grateful for you!

Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner

Gillian is the best and u can tell she does dog sitting as a labor of luv because it is obvious how much she loves and is good with animals. We felt completely comfortable leaving our 10 mos Corgi Bear with her for the first time for a few days and could tell how much fun he had with Gillian’s dogs while he was there. Daily throughout our weekend she sent updates with videos and pics which made leaving him for the first time much easier😊

Tiffany took care of our newly adopted rescue dog for two days and it was the first time me have left him with anyone new. Tiffany was loving and caring with Kevin. She sent daily updates with pictures of all the day’s activities. We were out of state and had to extend our agreeded apon stay by several hours and Tiffany accommodated the request happily. We would use Tiffany again and will recommend her to anyone who is looking to board a dog. Thank you so much Tiffany. Job well done

This was our second time using Brad and Mery, and once again, they were excellent. We got wonderful photos of our dog throughout the visit, and she was clearly very happy and well cared for in our absence. Our dog seemed to really love her stay with them. We’ll definitely use them again!

Both Koda and Dulcie loved their stay at Megan’s with all of the welcoming friends. Megan was very understanding of Koda being reactive towards dogs and made no judgements about him which was a huge relief. She sent lots of pictures of the dogs out and about having a blast, Dulcie made all the dog friends and was right at home. We will definitely have our dogs vacation with her again.

We were so lucky to have Whitney & Kevin watch our two dogs- a playful puppy and our older, more mellow dog for a full week. They welcomed them into their home and took such great care of them, giving each exactly what they needed—plenty of playtime for the pup and comfort and calm for our senior dog. They sent regular updates and photos, which made us feel completely at ease. We picked up two happy, healthy, and clearly well-loved dogs. We couldn’t recommend them more!

We felt like we were leaving Josie with a family member. Sue was warm and welcoming. Her home was clean, safe and pet friendly. She sent text messages and videos to ensure us that Josie was okay. Josie developed an irritation to her eye. Sue contacted us repeatedly to let us know. She was genuinely concerned. The condition worsened and she took her to the vet for us. She kept us informed. Josie had somehow abraded her eye. She had been very aggressive with her rope toy so she may have hurt it that way. At no time were we concerned with her care or safety. Sue gave all of the special meds even though it required her to get up in the night to give them to her. Sue was so devastated that Josie was injured. She and her husband were so very loving and caring to our baby Josie. She has continued to text to check on her recovery. She says the Josie won over their hearts. Sue won over our hearts. We will always have Sue care for Josie if we are away. Thank you Sue!!!!!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
