About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and gained a lot of experience caring for my own family pets, then started pet sitting and working with horses as a teenager. After spending most of young adult life working with horses, I went back to college to get a degree that would allow me to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I worked in companion animal (dogs and cats) practice for a number of years before taking a "real" job that allowed me more time for my own pets. When I was back in home state, I had been sitting for about 8 years on and off and grew up taking care of all types. I used to have my own business called CA Pet Services doing pet sitting during my free time. I have taken care of all types of animals, large and small. I love meeting new furry friends and enjoy spending time getting to know them and giving them all the affection they deserve. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
