“Mike and Amy are the best. Tonight when they dropped Buddie off, Buddie did not just fly out of the car to greet me. I had to go around to the open door and watch him wagging his tail like crazy in the back of their car and for a moment, I believe he was conflicted because he loves Mike and Amy & Bear so much that he didn't want to choose! It was sweet and made me happy that boarding him didn't seem to work out because Mike, Amy and Bear give him nonstop attention and love that no boarding place could. 💙”

“Samantha and her partner Zachary took fabulous care of our two dogs for three days. They are both high energy young dogs, one 7 months and one 13 months old and we were worried that they were going to be a problem. They love each other, romping like crazy with each other indoors and out and Samantha and Zach had no problem dealing with them. When we went to pick them up, it was obvious that both dogs really liked their caregivers. What more can one hope for in someone taking care of their dogs? We will be using them again when we are back in the Albany area. Thank you, Samantha and Zachary! Clifford and Ann Wagner”

“Sue was the absolute best! We had a very unique situation where we really wanted our dog, Maui, to be a part of our wedding day and weren’t from the area so we were unsure how to find someone that could pick him up from the venue while we were getting married and board him overnight. Sue went above and beyond to pick him up and board him. Sue also kept us updated with how Maui was doing and he had a great time playing with her cockapoo Ninny! Highly recommend Sue to anyone in need of dog boarding!”

“Gillian made us feel so comfortable after the meet and great! She treated our puppy like one of her own and we really enjoyed the picture updates showing us that Loki was having a blast!”

“Brigid was amazing with my little Peach. She took great care of her and gave her lots of affection. Knowing Peach was with Brigid gave me great peace of mind while I was away. I highly recommend her!”

“Tiffany is a phenomenal dog sitter! Kept us updated with lots of photos and videos. We deeply appreciated how she treated our pup just like one of her own! We will definitely be using Tiffany again for all our sitting needs ?”

“Natthinee did such an amazing job taking care of my dog. She communicated with us daily. She took care of my dog like she was her own. My dog gets anxious sometimes but I think pema had a great time in natthinee’s backyard.”

“Brad and Mery were wonderful with our sweet older pup, Bailey. They sent regular photos and updates, and Bailey seemed so happy with them. We’ll definitely use them again next time, and would recommend them without hesitation to others!”

“We don’t let anyone else watch our French bulldog. David takes her for plenty of walks, gives her lots of attention, and makes sure she gets her medication. She’s very happy with David, as are we!”

“I’m very satisfied with Kathleen's service. She cared for my puppy excellently. This was my first experience, and I am glad my Simba found a caring home while I’m away. I travel for work and feel confident I can rely on her in the future. Thank you! Roya Ross”

“Anthony and Jane were fantastic. Great communicators, really nice setup on their property with tons of space and a fenced yard. My dog got along well with theirs. Will definitely book again.”

“I can’t say enough good about Kyle. She genuinely loves dogs and I feel 100% confident leaving our boy with her. She sends lots of pictures and updates which I really appreciate. I’m so glad we found her.”

“Can't recommend Bob enough. He took care of our pup with great care and constantly gave us updates on what he was up to. He is quick to respond and very reliable! We're so lucky to have found Bob!!!!”

“Jessica is a great pet sitter! She has watched my dog twice now, and our dog was so excited to come back after the first visit. She is an excellent communicator and sends pictures each day, which I love! I highly recommend her.”

“Jack is by far the best dog sitter in the capital region. He is so attentive to dogs, has the best space for dogs to run and play around, and his dog is very well trained. Our Aussie Lilo loves Jack and she is always happy for her staycation. We are so happy to have found Jack and that our Lilo gets along so well with him and his dogs. We cannot recommend Jack enough.”

“Kimberly was so kind to take Toby my 19-lb Havenese dog very last minute! I have a bad wrist fracture and was not able to take care of him properly. She took such great care of him with only hours’ notice. I will definitely use her services again!”

“Kaitlyn was great with Hadley! She sent photo updates and booked very last minute which we are incredibly appreciative of. Her kids also adored Hadley so she felt right at home. Highly recommend!”

“Anna was fantastic! She messaged everyday with updates on how my pups were doing, along with pictures. My 2 dogs are vastly different ages and temperaments and Anna seemed to have no trouble making sure both were happy and comfortable. They got walks each day, even with the cold weather. We even needed to extend our pups stay with her on short notice and she was extremely helpful and accommodating. Then when we picked up our dogs, Anna gave us a couple new toys, several printed pictures of the pups during their stay, and little "report cards" of how they fared during their stay with comments. We would happily have Anna watch our dogs again any future times we needed.”

“Chelsea and Christopher were incredibly flexible and they responded quickly by text message before the visit and during the visit. This was our first time with them and I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with them. They are very conscientious about how they introduce all their dog guests to each other and have plans if any of them do not get along. They sent me photos and updates during our dog's visit and were flexible about the pickup time. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to my friends.”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Schoharie
We were so blessed to find Sue with such late notice. Our little bear means so much to us but the Airbnb we were staying at didn’t allow pets. Sue took him in without hesitation and opened up her home with so much love and kindness for our senior pup. He felt right at home doing all of his normal habits as if he were staying with family. We loved that she sent us videos and pics through out his stay to ensure he was taken care of. I highly recommend Sue and if you are looking for the best sitter to look after your fur baby. She is clearly an animal lover and will only provide the best service! If we are ever in the area and need help looking after our little bear we know who to call. Thank you for everything Sue we are so grateful for you!

We felt like we were leaving Josie with a family member. Sue was warm and welcoming. Her home was clean, safe and pet friendly. She sent text messages and videos to ensure us that Josie was okay. Josie developed an irritation to her eye. Sue contacted us repeatedly to let us know. She was genuinely concerned. The condition worsened and she took her to the vet for us. She kept us informed. Josie had somehow abraded her eye. She had been very aggressive with her rope toy so she may have hurt it that way. At no time were we concerned with her care or safety. Sue gave all of the special meds even though it required her to get up in the night to give them to her. Sue was so devastated that Josie was injured. She and her husband were so very loving and caring to our baby Josie. She has continued to text to check on her recovery. She says the Josie won over their hearts. Sue won over our hearts. We will always have Sue care for Josie if we are away. Thank you Sue!!!!!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
