“Sharon was a true god sent! After a prior experience with someone outside of rover that left us weary about ever leaving our dogs again, SHARON CHANGED THE GAME FOR US ♥️ She is so loving, spent long amounts of time just hanging out with our babies, followed directions perfectly and truly has a love for animals. We just got back from a weekend trip, and our dogs were not anxious and barely even cared we were back 😂♥️ she also left a cutie note/goodie bag for our babies on her final visit. We are so glad we found you Sharon! Xoxo”

“Melissa is great . My Sadie Rose was happy and content with her companion as was I . I am and will be a repeat customer of her services . I was at ease while I stepped away from the house knowing my Sadie was in good hands . Thank you so much and will be seeing you soon.”

About: What sets me apart as a dog sitter is that I truly understand dogs because I’m a dog parent myself. I currently have a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Mini Dachshund, so I’m experienced with different personalities, energy levels, and care needs. I know how important it is to find someone who will treat your pets like family, and that’s exactly how I care for every dog in my home. I’m patient, attentive, and focused on making dogs feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether your dog loves playtime, cuddles, walks, or just a calm environment, I make sure they get personalized care and attention. I also understand the importance of routines, updates, and communication, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is in good hands.
“Diana always goes above and beyond when caring for Gypsy. He is a senior cat and needed medication and extra care this time while we were away and Diana did a great job.”

“Forest and Zach were able to come over on very short notice to watch the pups. They were both super nice and even took the pups on a light jog to make sure they got all or their energy out!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I’ve had extremely large pets and the daintiest little animals. I am always the person at parties petting whatever animal I can get my hands on. Friends and family have relied on me to take care of their pets for a long time and I am always happy to do so. Feeding, walking, play time, and enrichment are all things I love to do and do regularly with my dog. My schedule is pretty open except for the occasional doctors appointment and caring for my dad. I tend to be able to work around any conflicts to help better serve others. I treat all pets as if they’re my own. Safe walks, making sure the ground isn’t too hot, hydration, and some kind of stimulation makes a happy pup. If it is too hot for walking, and depending on what you’re comfortable with, either a walk indoors at a dog friendly store or enrichment in the home, or just playtime on grass can be offered.

“Hallie was an amazing pet-sitter for our dauchshund! We are new to Atlanta and had never left him with anyone, outside of our family, before. We were extremely pleased with Hallie. She calmed any nerves we had with her professionalism, warm demeanor, and experience working as a Vet tech. Hallie made the effort to meet with us twice before our scheduled appointments to get to know our dog and receive house instructions. She sent tons of photos and descriptions and was reachable at every point during our trip. Hallie did an incredible job, and we will definitely be requesting her help in the future. Our dauchshund loved her, our house was in perfect condition, and we felt extremely confident in her abilities!”

About: Growing up I always had a dog. I absolutely love animals. I currently have a golden doodle and a Cavachon. My cavachon is a senior dog who has had major surgery. I'm very experienced with taking care of dogs of any age or with medical conditions. I work part time at a pizza shop. I am also a college student. Since I only have class 3 days a week in the afternoon I have a lot of free time in the mornings. Taking care of pets would fit perfectly into my mornings. At my home I have 2 dogs that I take care of. I can easily adapt to different feeding, walking, or activity styles for different pets.
About: Hello ! My name is Amanda and I have been around dogs my entire life. I’ve recently moved into a new house and am looking to get back into helping you and your pets ! I have never known what it is like to live in a house without at least one dog and I don't think I ever will. I started pet sitting for family and friends about 8 years ago and haven't looked back. I have experience with all different breeds ranging from Huskies to Chihuahuas. I also have experience with there being more than one dog in the house so that is no problem. I currently have two dogs, Leo and Koda. Leo is a 11 year old Terrier/Toy Collie mix and Koda is a 8 year old Catahoula mix. I recently added an addition to the family and now have a 1 year old cat named Sushi as well! I a have experience with other animals such as birds, reptiles, rabbits, etc., so I can gladly help out with anything along those lines as well. I would love to help you and your furry friends out ! I can also provide references upon request :) I currently work remotely full time so I am home all week. I am also able to leave periodically during the morning and afternoon for walks and can work remotely from anywhere if house sitting is required. I have a very flexible schedule ! I have a fenced in yard and two friendly dogs. My cat also thinks he’s a dog and is very friendly and social. I also have lots of space if your animal needs to be crated at any point.
About: I've been working with dogs professionally for almost 1.5 years, but I've also always dog-sat for family and friends. I've sat with dogs from small to big sizes, younger to older dogs, and I've dealt with dogs that have had many different medical issues, including providing medication and insulin. I'm ready for anything, and I'm excited to meet some new furry friends. Pet care is part of my everyday life both at work and at home. I currently work at a dog kennel, so I’m experienced with feeding schedules, exercise routines, and making sure each dog feels comfortable and cared for. On top of that, I have three dachshunds of my own at home, which means my day naturally revolves around walks, playtime, training, and plenty of cuddles. Because of this, caring for dogs isn’t just something I do at work; it’s built into my lifestyle. Becoming a public dog sitter is an exciting next step for me, since it allows me to take the skills I’ve built in a kennel setting and apply them in a more personal way, giving each dog the love and attention they deserve. In my own home, caring for pets is a constant part of daily life. I have three dachshunds, so I’m used to keeping up with regular feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and play. I make sure they feel safe, happy, and included as part of the family, whether that means structured walks or just cozy cuddle time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow the same attentive approach while respecting each pet’s individual routine and needs. I stick to the feeding, walking, and play schedules the owner provides, and I take time to get to know the pet’s personality so they feel comfortable and cared for in their own environment. My goal is always to make the transition smooth for both the pet and the owner, giving pets the same love and structure I give my own dogs.
About: Hi, I’m Moesharlynn or Moe and I’m 20 years old. I’m currently in school for dental assisting. I dog sat over-night for my friend’s dog for a week and I helped take care of my aunts dog, taking him out for walks when they were away. I’m familiar with learning the routines of a new dog and I give communication to the owners—providing updates on the well-being of their pet and any concerns that may arise. If you have an active dog, I would love to run with them as I’m a fan of cardio! I’m currently in school full-time during the weekdays, so being able to dog sit during weekends and afterschool on weekdays works great in my schedule. I’m very flexible for the weekends though. I have a fenced backyard in which dogs can roam freely in. I live across from a park that I can take them on frequent walks to.
About: Animals have always been a passion of mine since I was I little. I have 2 dogs of my own, and I work from home full time. I have experience in medication administration, feeding, bathing, exercise, basic training, and even some basic grooming. I have experience with dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, fish, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, ferrets and even squirrels. I am experienced in rehabilitating rescues, wild and domestic. I can honestly say that I am most happy when spending time with animals. I was an active EMT for 5yrs, and learned animal CPR and first aid along the way. I have references to verify my love for animals and background. I am dedicated and my heart is in the welfare of every animal I encounter. I am open to pet daycare during the day while I work from home with frequent backyard outings for a potty break or a quick game of fetch. Free after 530pm to do walks or drop ins. Open to boarding in my home any night or in the owners home on the weekends/occasionally overlapping into weekdays. I have two lovable dogs who love to play that will keep your little one company while they are in my home. I have 2 crates that can be put up if needed (one large, one small). I live in a small, quiet neighborhood with little to no traffic where walks can be done on leash. I do not have a fenced yard, so dogs will be leashed for safety while on my property. Rooms in my home can be separated with safety gates if feeding is needed. At a client's home, same rules apply for outside time unless there is a fenced yard. I will follow any routine that your pet is used to in their home. Two 30min walks or one 1 hour walk will done to burn that energy.
About: Hello, my name is Jenny! I have my bachelor's degree in Pre-Veterinary Science and worked as a Vet-Tech for over 4 years. I have experience with senior dogs and can give oral or subcutaneous medications such as diabetes injections or seizure medication. I am able to do nail trims, paw pad fur clipping, ear cleaning, brushing, or simple baths. Also, I have ample experience with stubborn dog breeds such as huskies! I’m currently working from home and can be with your pups as much as they need me to be! I usually will let them out 5-6 times a day to run in the yard. If they need anything else or prefer walks, I can offer them as well! I have a half acre fenced in backyard for your furry friend to run free (perfect for pets that do not have a fenced yard at home). I am set back far from any main roads and live on a farm surrounded by open land. I currently have three huskies that are all dog friendly but if your pup doesn’t really like to play or is older I have two half doors installed in my home to keep my pets separated from your pets if preferred. I also have two entrances to the fenced in yard so they do not have to interact. Dog crates readily available if necessary. My dogs are all up-to-date on vaccines and take monthly heartworm & flea/tick preventatives.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
