“Jenny was fantastic! My dog felt right at home and the updates that Jenny sent put my mind at ease. Whenever I have boarded her in the past, my dog has come home stressed and exhausted. This was not the case! She came home happy and relaxed. We will definitely be booking again!”

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Kirk and Joy! Leaving your dogs behind is never easy, especially with new sitters, but they immediately put our minds at ease. They were incredibly communicative throughout our trip, sending regular updates, photos, and messages that reassured us our pups were happy, comfortable, and well cared for. They were patient, attentive, and genuinely treated them like one of their own. We also ran into an unexpected issue with forgetting one of our dog’s medication before our trip, and they were so understanding and helpful. Their kindness and willingness to help during a stressful situation meant more to us than we can say. We wouldn't hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and dependable sitter. Thank you again for taking such amazing care of our boys!”

“Rebecca M, was simply the best person for my dog. She was knowledgeable and caring. She gave me good information regarding my dogs microchip and I acted on it the very next day. Now her chip is activated and I don't ever have to worry about her getting lost. I plan to use her again next week for my next trip. If you want a sitter for your dog, you can't get any better than Rebecca!”

“Candice and her girls took such great care of our 16 month old Mini Aussie. Daily pics and updates were never asked for but always appreciated! We could tell our pup was well loved in our absence, and I swear he came back cleaner and smelling fresher than when we left him, and the property was so nice and serene we’d love to stay there ourselves and I’m not joking; Hah:-) Thanks so much Candice and we’ll be back for sure!”

“My dog had such a good time with Jill & Thomas that he almost did not want to come home. Translation, he was very comfortable, felt safe and enjoyed the home's human and dog interactions. Great experience for us all!”

“Gina loves going to Beth's so much, we sometimes wonder if she wants to come home. Beth is caring and takes care of Gina's special needs. We couldn't ask for anyone better to watch her when we're away.”

“Nacho is a very selective Chihuahua who immediately adored Nicole. He exhibited none of the signs of anxiety he generally does when he meets someone new (or even someone he has met several times). He accepted Nicole as one of his special people and behaved as well (if not better!) for her than he does at home. Nicole sent us photos of Nacho napping, taking walks and looking completely adorable while he was in her care; we could see how content he was and were able to have peace of mind while we were traveling. Nacho will definitely be staying with Nicole the next time we need a dog sitter.”

“Kristen and her family was very welcoming to my baby Oreo. The communication was both prompt and clear. She sent many pictures of Oero the whole time. I definitely would recommend her. And hopefully we can use her again.”

“It was our first time booking this sitter and she was absolutely amazing. She sent me lots of pictures of my dog 🐶 and updates on how she’s doing. She was very quick in responding to my messages and very kind. My girl 🐕 came home the happiest. She had her best time there. I have rebooked this sitter for next month and will 💯 book her again in the near future. Can’t wait for my girl 🐕 go on another staycation at this sitter’s place. Cannot recommend enough. ❤️”

“Boarded our Bernedoodle Puppy with Eileen for a weekend away. She took great care of our dog and kept us in the loop with pictures and updates. Would recommend her to others! Thanks again a Eileen.”

““I can’t thank Olinda enough for the amazing care she gave Ollie! From the moment we arrived, I could tell how excited and happy he was to be around her. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine love for dogs shine through. It’s such a relief to know Ollie was in such good hands.”

“Kelley was a great sitter and allowed us to book the last minute, only a couple days prior. She was very attentive and quickly responded to messages. Our German Shepherd loved her stay at Kelley's place. The yard is more than spacious, and our dog loved playing and running around there. She had her own room with a dog bed and a water fountain, and was provided with play time and all the care she needed. Highly recommended, and will definitely use Kelley's services anytime in the future.”

“Mariah is absolutely, hands down, the kindest, most accommodating, and thoughtful caregiver to our baby. This is the second year entrusting her with the care of our most precious girl and we are infinitely grateful to know that she is safe and loved while in Mariah’s home. Sasha also loved playing with the other dogs in her care and was so happy to return to her home with her friends after we visited with her.”

“Raelyn and her family treated my dogs Mawz and Rubeus so wonderfully. I think Mawz would have been perfectly happy to never have come home. She has found furever friends with Raelyn! Rubeus was more "cautious," as Raelyn described him. We were kind of surprised because he is usually so ADHD, but we could tell that he'd also been treated extremely well. We so appreciated that Raelyn is obviously a lover of dogs and took good care of our fur babies. They had a great time and we will definitely be calling on Raelyn in the future!”

About: We have been a dog family for the past 11.5 years! We love our dogs so much! We have an 11 year old Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix and a 2 year old Aussiedoodle. They are sweet and fun and love other dogs! We have 4 kiddos as well who love caring for the dogs including our 12 and 11 year old girls who love taking the dogs for walks! We are a homeschooling family so we are home most of the time and don't kennel our dogs at all while we are home! We have a huge fenced-in backyard that the dogs love to roam and run around in! Playing fetch in the back yard is a highlight in our home!
“Jen took very good care of my dog and I will definitely use her again to sit. She was very nice and communicated with me from the 1st meet-up and up until I picked Kobe up. Thanks again Jen”

“I would definitely recommend Sureya to keep your pet. My Koda is very shy, barks at most people especially men ?. When I dropped him off he never barked. He went right to her. She’s very warm and inviting and i would absolutely rebook with her.”

“This was a great experience. I think I got more excited driving up the driveway seeing the horses the mini horses the goats, the chickens, hearing the roosters. I know Teddy must've had a great time. Will definitely use again!”

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
