About: Have experience mainly with bully breed type dogs 100lbs & under as well as cats, lizards, & fish. My experiences have been mainly with rescues. I have helped find loving homes for dogs as well as caring for and rehoming cats. Everyday is a learning experience and enjoy creating bonds with new fur friends! I currently have a flexible schedule that can be adjusted with reasonable scheduling and communication (usually a week advanced notice is preferred). I typically make time to walk my pets in the early mornings/late afternoons/nights and allow the dogs to roam the yard or come relax inside as they please and depending on weather conditions. I would prefer to have pets (especially dogs) to become familiar with me first before we consider boarding them with me. I can accommodate inhouse crate/private room or outdoor crate/private gated kennel for housing.
“Wendy did an amazing job with our dog and cat while we were away for 10 days! We are very attached to our pets and she sent us tons of photos and updates so we knew all was well. She also met with us before our trip to get a lay of the land at our house and meet our animals which was super helpful. We came home to a clean home and happy pets. We’d have her back in a heartbeat. Thank you, Wendy!!”

“Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you for taking care of the dogs, they LOVE you! Thank you for your flexibility with my scheduling! Thank you for all the updates and photos! It’s always easy to enjoy my trips knowing you are with my “children”. See you again soon!”

About: Hello my name is Teresa and I know life is hectic but you don't have to worry about your pets. When you're at work or traveling I'm here to provide you peace of mind. I am like a reliable family member- always here when you need me. When you need in-home care for your dog, cat, fish, bird , or reptile I'll be here for you and your pets. Giving them the attention , time, and love they need while you are gone.
About: I’ve had my first pet since I was 8 and I’ve loved animals ever since I could remember. I had my first dog walking job in my early 20s when I was in college and my first dog bestfriend was a Shiba Inu. I literally loved him like he was my own. I took him everywhere and anywhere that I went. I helped raised and trained him since he was 6 months old up until he was 7. Unfortunately, our journey had to come into an end when I had to move states for my first career out of college. Now that I’m back home in Cali, I’ve been yearning for another dog best friend or few. Sadly, where I currently live doesn’t allow for dogs on the premises so I’d be happy to go wherever to take care of your furry loved one! My experience includes basic obedience skills such as training and leash manners. **I am also extremely protective of your animals so I won’t take them where I know they could potentially be in danger or in harm.** *I am very communicative and will send pics when you’re away! I am available on the weekends, evenings, and holidays! I am sometimes free during mid afternoons. I am also available to board if when it is requested. I like to make sure that I am in constant communication with every pet’s owners. My preference is that I am provided with a list of do’s and don’ts. Otherwise I like to maintain a clean environment and make sure all animals are fed based on the schedule and amount that the owner provides. I like to be in constant observance of all animal’s habits in case for any changes of health or behaviors and I make sure to maintain a healthy amount of affection based on each animal’s needs.
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life, and my family currently has 6 of our own, so I’m very comfortable with all sizes and personalities — from tiny pups to giant breeds. My older sister is a professional dog groomer, so I’ve learned a lot about proper handling, bathing, and understanding dog behavior from her as well. Because I’m home often and have a fenced yard, your dog will always have plenty of attention, potty breaks, and safe space to relax or play. I’m reliable, gentle, and patient with every dog I care for, and I’ll treat your pet like part of my own family. I’m home most of the day, so your dog will get plenty of attention, playtime, and regular potty breaks. My daily routine already revolves around caring for dogs, so adding an extra pup into my schedule fits in naturally. Whether it’s feeding, exercise, or outside time, I always make sure pets stay on a consistent routine and are monitored throughout the day. I provide a safe, dog-friendly home with a fenced yard and plenty of space for pets to play and relax. I personally handle all care, supervision, feeding, and exercise for every dog I watch—no one else assists with pet care. I have years of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, and I always supervise interactions to make sure every pup feels comfortable. I can separate dogs when needed, follow all owner instructions, and keep a close eye on everyone to ensure a safe, positive stay.
About: I offer loving pet care including walks, feeding, and playtime. With years of experience, I'm home-based and have part time availability for personalized, attentive daily care. As a full-time student with a flexible schedule, I make time daily for walks, play, feeding, and care ensuring pets get consistent love and attention. In clients’ homes, I stick to their pets routine providing walks, feeding, playtime, and lots of affection to ensure comfort, happiness, and consistent, loving care.
About: I’ve taken care of all kinds of pets since I was 15! I’ve watched guineas, chinchillas, dogs, cats - I’d love to meet yours! :) I’m available to watch pets at all hours of the day - I live on a wide property with lots of room for running! :) With any pet I make sure they get lots of attention, patience and outside time. Unless requested otherwise, I feed twice a day kibble&wetfood :)
“Hermes was so awesome with our (challenging) dog and two cats! He watched them for two weeks and sent lots of updates and pics while we were on vacation. Our pets absolutely loved him and we felt really secure knowing they were in good hands. Would definitely book again!”

About: I studied nursing at university, which has given me strong observation skills, patience, and a sense of responsibility when caring for others — including pets. I’m familiar with basic pet safety, health awareness, and what signs to watch for in daily care. I’ve been caring for cats since I was 14 years old and am very comfortable with daily routines such as feeding, cleaning litter boxes, trimming nails, and monitoring appetite and behavior changes. I also have experience caring for dogs of different sizes and personalities, including regular walks, playtime, and companionship. I understand how important consistency and emotional comfort are for pets, especially those who may feel anxious when away from home. I provide a calm, clean, and attentive environment, and I’m happy to follow each pet’s usual routine to help them feel safe and relaxed. I care for both cats and dogs with patience, love, and close attention. I am on vacation, I have plenty of time to play with puppies and kittens, I usually stay at home, and can accompany your pets at any time I have a fenced yard and a cat to accompany your pet, giving him plenty of room to move around. I will not restrict the pet's freedom. If you want your pet to be in a cage, I can also accept the cage you bring yourself.
“Camrynn took great care of Louie while I was away for about a week and a half. I needed a in-home sitter who could keep Louie on his diet and medication protocol, and she did an amazing job. She was responsive and kept me updated along the way, and a huge bonus - my home was perfectly clean and exactly as I left it when I arrived back from my trip. 10/10 - would absolutely hire Camrynn again!”

“Blake was awesome! We needed a last minute booking and he was happy to accommodate. He sent daily updates and photos and was super easy to communicate with. He also spent loads of time with my dog Remi and took him on nice long walks, which helped keep him happy and calm the whole time we were away. We’ll definitely be reaching out to Blake again in the future!”

“I found the PURRfect pet sitter in Mikki for my kitty Elliott. It is obvious in the communications sent by Mikki that she is a caring, attentive and dedicated animal lover. She is also very responsive and takes the time to share lots of photos, videos, updates and scheduling as to when she would be at the house (and she stayed overnight, which I greatly appreciated)...made me feel comfortable that my kitty was in good hands and being well cared for. Elliott is normally a very shy kitty but it was obvious in the pics and videos that he warmed up quickly to Mikki. She truly has special talents and a kind soul that made my kitty feel at ease. I would recommend Mikki without hesitation and WILL use her services again!!”

FAQs for House Sitting - Cedar Springs
Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 6,319 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cedar Springs. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedar Springs walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedar Springs maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedar Springs choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedar Springs. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
