About: I have never had a moment in my life where I did not have multiple pets at a time. My household is very pet friendly and with that I have learnt how to care for them properly! I love animals of all kinds and have been relied on for many different pet sitting/caring occasions. Along with my full-time job, I work part-time at a pet store where I have learned a great deal on different techniques and tactics on how to properly care for, meet, and love animals. Through this store I have also gained many training opportunities where I can educate myself further on pet care and nutrition! I currently work full-time. Therefore, I am the perfect candidate for lunch-time visits, and night feedings, walks, drop-ins, etc. as my schedule in the morning of the day is pretty filled. I am pretty open on weekends! Having two dogs of my own, I know what all goes into caring for a pet! Depending on your needs, I am able and experienced in feeding, walking, crating (if desired), playing, etc.

About: I have had a lifelong love of animals and have been caring for pets from a very young age. I grew up with both dogs and cats and learned early on the importance of being responsible, patient, gentle, and attentive to their needs. As an adult, I have continued to care for my own pets, including many cats and a rabbit, giving me experience with different animals, personalities, routines, and care requirements. What sets me apart is the genuine care and attention I give to every animal. I don’t see pet sitting as simply feeding an animal and letting them out—I believe pets need companionship, affection, playtime, exercise, and individual attention. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I am dependable, patient, observant, and very attentive to changes in an animal’s behavior or routine. I treat every pet in my care as if they were my own and understand how important it is for owners to have someone they can trust with a beloved member of their family. I work part-time, which gives me an extremely flexible schedule and allows me to make pet care a priority. I am available every day of the week and can accommodate visits, walks, feeding schedules, and other care needs at various times throughout the day. Because my schedule is flexible, I can provide consistent and dependable care without having to rush through visits. I am able to adjust my routine around each pet’s individual needs and schedule, whether they need regular walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, or overnight care. I enjoy spending time with animals and would be happy to make caring for pets an important part of my daily routine. I have three cats of my own, so I understand the responsibility and commitment involved in providing daily care for pets. I make sure they always have fresh food and water, clean litter boxes, a safe and comfortable environment, and plenty of attention and affection. I also spend time playing with them and providing enrichment to keep them happy and engaged. If caring for someone else’s pet in my home, I would follow the owner’s instructions carefully and maintain the pet’s normal feeding, bathroom, exercise, medication, and sleeping routines as much as possible. I would provide a calm, safe space where the pet can feel comfortable and would give them plenty of individual attention. I would also take into consideration their personality and comfort level, especially if they are nervous or adjusting to a new environment. Because I have cats, I would also make sure any visiting pet is safely separated when necessary and that introductions are handled appropriately. My priority would always be the safety, comfort, and well-being of every pet in my care.

About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life and have over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for them. I previously helped care for 4 dogs, over 10 cats, and 3 horses, so I’m very comfortable handling different personalities, sizes, and needs. I also have experience working in an animal shelter, where I cared for and handled a variety of animals. In addition, I pet sit for my uncle when needed, where I care for his 3 dogs. I recently moved and now have 2 of my cats with me, but I still have plenty of experience from caring for a larger group of animals. I understand how important it is to be reliable, patient, and attentive, and I treat every pet like my own to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. My schedule is currently flexible as I’m in the process of settling into a new area. I’ll be coordinating availability around my husband’s work schedule, but I’m open to dog walking, drop-ins, and pet sitting when I’m available. I’m happy to communicate and work with pet owners to find times that work best, and I’ll always be upfront and reliable with scheduling. I always prioritize your pet’s safety and comfort. I follow any routines, feeding schedules, and instructions exactly as given. I’m very patient and attentive, and I take time to understand each pet’s personality and needs. I make sure they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos.

About: Hello, pet parents! My name is Carla and I'm an experienced, loving, and dedicated pet sitter based in Emerald Isle. I've been passionate about animals ever since I was a kid and have spent the last 6 years turning that passion into a career. I've cared for animals of all shapes and sizes — from energetic puppies to mature cats, from tiny birds to sizable reptiles and everything in between. I have a special knack for understanding pets' needs and communicating with them on their level. My priority is to ensure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their humans are away. When it comes to dogs, I'm experienced in managing various breeds, temperaments, and energy levels. I am proficient in basic training commands and am capable of handling dogs who are leash trained or harness trained. I know all the great dog parks and pet-friendly spots around the local community and I am eager to keep your furry friend exercised and socialized. For feline friends, I'm well-versed in kitty care. I understand their unique personalities and respect their space. Whether your cat loves playtime or prefers a relaxing brushing session, I can adapt to each of their specific needs. In my care, your pet's safety and well-being are my top priorities. I am committed to staying in regular communication with you, and providing frequent updates and photos so you can rest assured your pet is in the best hands. Lastly, as a professional pet sitter with Rover, I am fully insured and bonded. I offer a range of services including dog walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. I am flexible with scheduling and will do my best to accommodate your needs. Thank you for considering me as your pet's sitter. I look forward to meeting you and your pet(s) soon! Here's a peek into my daily schedule to give you an idea of how I'll be caring for your beloved pets. **Early Morning (6:00 AM - 8:00 AM):** I start the day bright and early, ensuring your pets have a good start too. This is the time for the first walk of the day for dogs, making sure they have plenty of exercise to start their day. For cats, this is the time for feeding, litter box cleaning, and maybe a little playtime if they're up for it. **Late Morning (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM):** After a little breakfast for myself, I continue with pet duties. This includes any necessary grooming, administering medication (if applicable), and more playtime or training sessions. I'll also check in with you, sending updates and photos of your fur-babies. **Afternoon (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM):** Lunchtime! I'll ensure your pets are fed according to their dietary needs and schedule. After lunch, it's time for another walk for the dogs or some indoor playtime for pets needing more exercise. I'll also continue to monitor your pets for any signs of discomfort or stress and provide comfort as needed. **Evening (5:00 PM - 9:00 PM):** Dinner time for your pets. I'll feed them and ensure they have fresh water. After dinner, there will be time for another walk or play session. I'll also spend some time just relaxing with your pets, as I believe that bonding time is essential for their emotional well-being. **Late Evening/Night (9:00 PM - 10:00 PM):** Before I call it a day, I'll take dogs out for a last quick bathroom break, tidy up the pet areas, and make sure all pets are comfortable and ready for bed. I'll also send you an end-of-day update so you can rest easy knowing your pets are well cared for. Please note that this is a general schedule and can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of your pets. I look forward to providing the best care for your furry (or feathery or scaly) family members! I currently do petsitting in the owners home, so the pets feel comfortable in an environment they are already comfortable in. ‎ ‎ ‎ ‎

I was going out of town for my Mom's bday trip and I had 2 sitters cancel on me. I saw kyndalls reviews and I wanted to meet her. She came over and met Kobe and she played with him and he loved her from the beginning. While I was away, She sent me pics and videos and she quickly responded when I did check in. When I came back my home was how I left it. I'd definitely let her house sit in my home with Kobe again. Im sure Kobe is looking forward to it!!

FAQs for House Sitting - Cedar Point

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for House Sitting in Cedar Point on Rover is $26.75 per night (as of August 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of August 2026, there are 299 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Cedar Point. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:

  • Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
  • Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
  • Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
  • Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Cedar Point walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Cedar Point maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:

  • Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
  • Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
  • Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.

Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cedar Point choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Cedar Point. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 91% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
