“Our 2 cats met Emily last week and then she completed drop in visits for 4 days. While we were away, I looked forward to reading her daily summary which showed her building a connection with each pet. She gave us the peace of mind that our kitties are in good hands. It means a lot that she's learning their quirks and what works well.”

“Kimberly was great help for our two cats. Our cat sitter plans fell through the last moment before we had to take a trip and she was able to jump right in and save the day. She followed all of our instructions and kept our cats company when they were lonely and missing us. She also went above and beyond to get our keys back to us when we came back as we needed them for the next day before we went to work. Definitely will consider her in the future.”

“Jessica was a fantastic sitter. She was gracious with me on the pre-sitting process such as meet and greet and then communicating on meeting for the keys. She shared her photos with us on the cats on each visits (close ups as I have cameras which see from far). She communicate with me on any issues with the cats (none so far) and her visits which were remedied quickly. I would like to rebook her again in the near future.”

“I am so happy with the service I received from Lisa! Everything that needed to be done was completed and my house was just as I left it. I feel blessed that I had such a skilled pet sitter and loved all the pictures. Getting the information everyday helped put my mind at ease that my very old kitty was in the best hands.”

“We are beyond grateful for the amazing training our dogs received. Erich is very knowledgeable, had incredible patience with our dogs and myself, while being professional and friendly. They responded very well to his training. You can see he genuinely loves what he does and cares about a well trained and happy dog. Highly recommend Erich E. Thank you!”

“My cats loved Kai! They didn't even act like they missed me when I got home, which was a first. I loved the pictures that Kai sent me every day. With their skill set, I feel comfortable leaving my babies in Kai's care.”

About: I have loved animals, especially dogs, since I was a toddler. Over the years I have been lucky enough to have been "owned" by several wonderful dogs and cats, and have had friends and family rely on me to take care of their pets while they have been out of town. I have a full time job, but I have always loved animals and I am excited to work with owners and provide care for their pets while they are away! Right now I am only offering pet sitting and house sitting services in the pet owners home. I'll be happy to accommodate your pet in whatever way I can while you are away.

“This was our first experience with Rover. Kathy did a great job! Excellent communication. We received a report and pictures every time she was there. Best of all, our two kitties loved her! Thank you, Kathy! We appreciate you!”

“Shelly was great. Communicated well, sent lots of pictures, and I truly believe she liked our cats (which makes me feel good). I don’t hesitate at all to recommend her and plan to call her the next time we need someone.”

“Ally was amazing. So great with our dog Boots. Boots is a one year old, very energetic rescue that is a little shy (at first). Boot warmed up to Ally really fast and they had fun together. Also, my schedule is super whacky and Ally adapted to it. Great communication and lots of pictures. Thanks Ally!”

About: I can stay at your home or I can board your pets at my home (boarding only if you have small lap dogs). For boarding, I keep your pets indoors with our pets in our personal living space so your pets should be clean, house-broken, and tolerant of children. We have a very clean home with mostly red brick tile throughout (except for the bedrooms which have white carpet). We have a small doggie door which enters into a small fenced area (4'x12') for self-potty breaks while we are at work (if your dogs know how to use a doggie door). We can also close this door if your dog is an escape artist. Our home is located in the east mountains off the Zuzax exit (about 15 minutes from Tramway Blvd). We both work (I have summers off) so we come to Albuquerque every day via I-40 and would be happy to pick up your pet at a meeting location if the drive is a pain for you. We have a huge horse barn and several acres as our backyard. We have a mini-horse, three mini goats, three chickens, two small dogs, and a cat. Why is my rate so reasonable you ask? Because we don't do this to make a living. Getting to care for other peoples furry children brings much happiness & joy to our lives too. If it was a pain in the rear, we'd charge much much more. But it's not, it's a treat for us. I also automatically donate 5% of my pet sitting fee's to K9's for Warriors via Rover.com. K9's for Warriors provides service canines to warriors suffering from post-traumatic stress and/or traumatic brain injury as a result of military service. About this sitter: I'm a married mother of two children, and many animal children. I work full-time as a social worker. Caring for pets is a natural extension of my care of humans. Why I love dog sitting: I've been a dog lover since I was little. My families Norwegian Elkhound had puppies when I was 2 years old and I have pictures of my twin sister and I being so in love with them and carrying them everywhere we went. When I was 19, I bought a dog book and combed the pages looking for my best K-9 match. I ended up getting a Shih Tzu and a Brussels Griffon. 20 years later, we now have Budrow, my 14 year old Norfolk Terrier mix, Gracie, my 2 year old mini-Australian Sheppard/mini-Poodle mix, and a 4 year old sweet long hair female cat named Aphrodite. They are all best buddies and they enjoy having furry houseguests. Meet my pets: We have one mini-horse, three mini-goats, three chickens, 2 small dogs, and a cat. About my yard: We have a huge backyard (5 acres), some areas are fenced some are not. If your dogs are diggers, I'd worry that they might get into the chicken coop or the goat area. We do not want to host large outdoor dogs at this time, until we get proper sturdy fencing around the entire property. We are currently only hosting indoor lap dogs at this time. My experience administering medication: Yes, I will administer medication (including shots) unless a dog bites or gets squirrely. I accommodate your pets needs around my work schedule. In the Fall or Spring I occasionally have my teenagers sports events or meets to attend. I treat you pets like my own and if I’m caring for your pets in my own home they will be included in my regular life, living room time (sunning windows, movie nights on the couch, etc), grass time, playtime, sleep time, etc.

About: I’ve taken care of animals of every kind since I was 12… from dogs, to cats, to horses. I volunteered for a no kill animal shelter as a teenager where I cared for, exercised, and assisted in adoption efforts. I’m relied on by neighbors and friends to walk and care for their animals and look forward to caring for yours. Animals truly hold a special place in my heart. I have a flexible work schedule which allows me plenty of time to care for your animals. I enjoy walking and hiking in the mountains with my dogs and look forward to incorporating yours. I have a fenced yard with 2.5 acres of land. I have a section fenced off in the backyard for smaller animals. I have two friendly dogs for your animals to play with.

Kellie T.

“Kellie has taken care of our Shih Tzu, Murphy, on two occasions for multiple days. I admit I was reluctant to have anyone pet/housesit because of separation anxiety (Murphy’s and mine!) Kellie was truly great! Bonded quickly with Murphy, and sent lots of photos to reassure me that he was fine—thriving, in fact. I think I was a little jealous 😊. House and Murphy were in perfect condition. We (Murphy and I) highly recommend Kellie.”
