“Barbara was very nice and took really good care of my dog, Butter. My dog has anxiety around bigger dogs, so for us, this was a perfect match. Even with her two smaller dogs, Barbara paid extra attention and had lots of caution in making sure that my dog felt comfortable being in her home and around her dogs. After our initial meet and greet, my dog didn’t even wait for me to say goodbye— He was so excited to be there that he ran inside when I dropped him off! About: I currently have a golden retriever puppy, so I’m very used to the daily routine of walks, playtime, feeding schedules, and lots of attention and patience. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone trustworthy who will care for them like they’re at home. I have a very flexible schedule and am often home for extended periods of time. I am fully available on weekends and offer overnight stays Friday–Sunday, as well as daytime care. I am happy to work with different schedules and provide reliable, attentive care for your pets. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space for dogs to safely play and explore. Pets are welcome to free roam the house, relax on the furniture, play, and feel comfortable like they’re at home. I also have a crate available if needed for your pet’s routine or comfort. I currently have a golden retriever puppy who is very friendly and full of energy, especially when it comes to walks and playtime. He also does well reading other dogs’ behavior and gives them space if they are not interested in playing. My goal is always to provide a safe, loving, and low-stress environment where pets feel comfortable and cared for.

About: I am a Fear Free certified veterinary technician of 13 years who grew up in the show dog world (AKC) before getting into rescue as an adult. Throughout my long-lived animal career I have participated in puppy/kitten/basic obedience training, behavioral rehabilitation, dog sport training, senior care, care for animals with extreme medical needs, and owned/operated a group play doggie daycare. My jobs, hobbies, and passions are all centered around animals and I can't wait to bring that passion to you! I am home full-time, and available for puppies and animals with heavy needs. I have a fairly set schedule for all of the pets in my care, and that level of routine provides comfort to even the most nervous of pups. I am the only Fear Free pet carer in Bakersfield! I provide comforting classical music as well as calming pheromones in the sleeping spaces to make their stay as stress-free as possible. I have a fenced yard and never leave dogs together unsupervised. I do not provide an environment suitable for animals with a history of dog aggression. Small dogs I can be more flexible with, as their attitude usually comes from a place of fear and that is something I can work with for the little guys.

About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.

About: I have always had a dog but I can only attest to caring for those I’ve raised. I’ve raised two labs and a huskie pittie. I currently have a young 1 year old male lab who loves a great play session with another doggy friend. I’ve often dog cat overnight and it gives my pets great socialization opportunities. I currently work full time from home from 8am to 5pm. My dog is routinely walked 1 hours a day with several enticing activities through out my work day. On the weekend I like to take him to the park and hiking if there is no playdate scheduled. I have a fenced yard and the most social dog to keep them company. Plenty of toys and treats. I have two different sized crates and fenced areas to give my cats space when new dogs are visiting.
