About: Hello, my name is Tomi and I love all kinds of animals! I've been pet-sitting for 25+ years. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest with all kinds of animals: fish, hamsters, birds, ferrets, cats, dogs and horses. My experience is both as a pet owner and a pet sitter. I enjoy getting to know each animal's personality, their likes and dislikes, and am very good at communicating with them. My last dog was a Pit Bull and I especially love them. I also adore cats-be they young or old, big or small, cuddly or aloof, lol. Please contact me with any questions, I look forward to meeting you and your fur babies. I work in Kona 4 days a week as a Craniosacral Therapist and my average work day is 6-7 hours aso that leaves plenty of time for playtime, cuddles, walks on my days off and when I'm not working. I will feed and care for pets as directed by the owner, and I enjoy playing with them and making sure they are safe and feeling loved.
“Kerri was wonderful with my dog Casper! He is very shy with new people, but warmed up to her very quickly. Would definitely recommend Kerri as someone friendly, experienced and reliable to care for your pup.”

“Aaliyah, thank you for the comprehensive follow-up and for loving my fur baby like he is your own. I know Remy can be a bit overwhelming at times and I’m so thankful that you showed him the love and affection that he needs.”
About: I have been caring for animals my whole life, and professionally for the last 15+ years. I am skilled with dogs, cats, small house pets like hamsters, birds, chickens, goats, horses, and even cows! I currently work full time, Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm at a small public school in South Kona, so I am available pretty much anytime that works around that schedule. I am available for overnight stays as well when necessary. I prefer to work with clients verbally to ensure we have a solid agreement regarding specific care for pets as needed. I strive to go above and beyond when offering care and aim to love my clients animals just as much as I love my own.
“Jen did everything we talked about. She sent videos of our pack and they all obviously loved her and felt taken care of. I will definitely use her services again. I'm so grateful to have found someone I can trust to love our babies while we're gone. It means the world to me.”
About: Over the years I have owned and cared for various breeds of dogs which has thus created skills that I utilize during my car of your pet. My number one principal is to create a peaceful, loving environment for your animal while under my care. I am a very flexible sitter and I’m willing to accommodate to any requests you may have. Thank you for your consideration. All of my work is based out of my home office. I spend a lot of one on one time with my clients pets which I believe brings a much better experience for both me and your pet. Boarding services are my favorite services because I get to spend more one on one time with the animals. Doggy Daycare is my home daycare service, taking the clients out for most of the day, playing and relaxing instead of waiting alone for their owners to return home for the day. Drop Ins and Walks are services provided at the clients residence. I want all of my clients to feel loved and safe while in my care and I would like their owners to know they are in good hands.
About: I have hands-on experience raising my own Collie and a lifelong passion for caring for dogs. As a retiree, I have the time and flexibility to give each pet my full attention. I’m patient with playful puppies, gentle with senior dogs, and attentive to individual needs. My priority is building trust, ensuring safety, and creating happy, healthy walks — so every dog feels like they’re part of my family. Now that I’m retired, pet care is a natural and joyful part of my day. I have a flexible schedule and can provide walks, playtime, and companionship whenever they’re needed — mornings, afternoons, or evenings. This means your dog will get reliable care and attention, without being rushed. I prioritize safety and trust above all. When walking dogs, I use secure leashes and select calm, pet-friendly routes to ensure a worry-free experience. Whether in your home or outside, I maintain a comfortable and calm environment, making sure pets have fresh water and plenty of attention. I treat every dog as if they were my own, with gentle care and respect for their individual needs.
About: Aloha! I’m a tradesman by day and animal-lover 24/7. I’ve had animals since i was born and know they’re more than pets, they’re true ‘ohana. Taking care of your ‘ohana isn’t a job, it’s a connection. I’d be honored to take care of your ‘ohana. I’ve volunteered at various shelters across a couple states; from quick walks to multi-hour hikes, from playing fetch to administering medication, i will treat them as my own. Mahalo! I do have a full-time job, as a carpenter, so i am occupied Monday thru Friday, from 6am-4pm. Any animal that needs to be let outside will be taken care of every morning, every afternoon, and at lunchtime if possible. We can discuss what kind of schedule would make you (and your animal(s) the most comfortable! I believe there’s no better comfort for an animal than being in their home. I find it more tolerable for animals to get used to a new person rather than a new person AND a new habitat. My commitment is to making your time away from your animals as smooth as possible for you and them.

“We highly recommend Molly. She took great care of our two dogs, she was flexible, cheerful and, most importantly, it was obvious that she really likes dogs! Molly came over for a meet and greet prior to her assignment, which put our minds at ease. Everything worked beautifully and Molly kept us informed about how our dogs were doing. Thank you, Molly!”

About: I am an active, dog-lover that would be so excited to get to know your sweet pup! I love taking dogs for walks and going out and exploring the neighborhoods (and dog parks!) around me. They will get endless amount of love and attention while in my care! I currently work remotely, so I am able to stay home for most of the day with your furry friend. Please reach out and let me know if you are in need of a dog-loving sitter! I work from home Monday-Friday and have a 5-1pm schedule. Within that timeframe, my work is pretty flexible so I will often play with the pups on breaks/lunches. I go on walks every evening between 1-4pm, usually 3+ miles. I am not able to offer stays at my own home at this time, but would love to help out and house sit or come stop by to take your sweet pup for a walk! I like to understand each individual dogs needs, so please don’t hesitate to let me know if there are any specific requests for activities/enrichment for your dog.
“I can’t recommend Angelina enough! A dog sitter cancelled on me last minute and she saved the day. She took great care of my pup, was very responsive and friendly, and is quite affordable. I definitely will be contacting her again next time I need help.”

“My dog loves her. Chelsea is very professional, kind and reliable. Especially since my dog has been sick and I’ve been so worried, she had so helpful dropping in to show IPO love while I’m at work❤️”

“Bailey was absolutely terrific with my cat Miso and sent me great photos. He was in really good health and spirits when I returned after 8 days away. Very friendly and professional!”

“Great for house/ pet sitting. Used her while I was 3000 miles and an ocean away for over 10 days. Used her for Christmas drop in to feed. Check in on the cats when I took dogs an hour away for two nights over Christmas. Swell communication. The animals love her! So do I!”

“Callista was so warm and loving to my dog! She was on time, responsible, and focused on making my dog comfortable and happy, even asking for a brush to take out some burrs that got into his fur during their walk. I will definitely be asking Callista to sit again!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
