About: I've been involved in animal care for at least 15 years now with experience in animal shelters and rescues, vet offices and general pet care for myself and friends (even pet photography!) I've loved animals since I was a child and enjoy dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. I have experience with all sorts of temperaments and breeds. I'm currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to spend with your animals! I enjoy meeting new animals and love to learn about your pets specific needs. I have experience with all types of pet care and am happy to cater to your pet's specific needs and wants. I know each pet is an individual and treat them as such. I use positive reinforcement with my own animals and translate that to others to help them feel safe and happy with new people.
About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve personally cared for dogs, cats, and small animals throughout my life, and my experience extends well beyond pet ownership. I hold a degree in biology with coursework focused on animal behavior, physiology, and research. This background helps me better understand animal body language, behavior, and individual needs. I’ve worked with a wide variety of species, including exotic hoofstock and birds in a zoological setting, as well as pigs, goats, and birds through wildlife rescue and animal care work. In addition, I spent approximately three years working in an animal shelter environment, where I handled and photographed thousands of dogs to help them find loving homes. Through that experience, I learned how to safely interact with dogs of all sizes, ages, temperaments, and energy levels. Whether your pet is outgoing, shy, energetic, a senior, or requires a little extra patience, I strive to provide attentive, reliable care tailored to their individual personality and routine. I’m a small business owner and public school teacher, which gives me a structured but flexible schedule that works well for pet care. I currently have more availability during weekends, school holidays, and breaks (especially during the summer months), when I can offer extended and consistent care for pets and house sitting. During the school year on regular weekdays, I’m typically available in the mornings and evenings, with greater flexibility on weekends. I’m happy to discuss specific dates and needs to see what works best for your pet’s routine. I care deeply about consistency and communication, so pets feel settled, safe, and well cared for, and owners can have peace of mind while they’re away. I provide pet care in my clients’ homes, where I focus on maintaining each pet’s normal routine in the environment where they feel most comfortable. I follow all care instructions closely and make sure feeding, walks, medication, and daily routines are completed on time and as directed. I treat every home with a high level of respect and care, keeping spaces clean, organized, and exactly as I found them. I’m mindful of both the pet’s needs and the owner’s home, and I prioritize reliability, safety, and consistency in every visit or stay. I also believe clear communication is essential, so I provide updates as needed to give owners peace of mind while they’re away.
“Chelsea provided excellent care for our two cats! It was such a relief to know our animals were well taken care of while we were away. The daily updates and photos were a plus! We highly recommend her as a pet sitter!”

“Lauren was wonderful!!! We have used her twice (one was so last minute) and she really helped us out. Very prompt on her visits and took the best care of our dog. We will definitely be repeat customers.”
About: I genuinely have the greatest passion for animals and love being around them and caring for them. I own a house near town with a large backyard and tons of dog toys and beds. I don’t own any pets myself, and work remote as a with my partner. However, my true passion has always been for animals. I have volunteered at local humane societies since I was 12, and even an elephant sanctuary! I was on the board of the largest animal shelter in Chicago (PAWS), and have received formal training in dog behavior and handling. I have experience caring for and walking numerous dogs of every size and breed. I know of some good local parks around here and am willing to take energetic dogs on runs with me! I go on runs everyday, so having a furry friend to accompany me on them would be ideal. I can watch your pet attentively and give them lots of attention throughout the day due to my flexible work schedule. My partner and I both work remote and can provide care for your animal(s) around the clock and can be home with them all day. I treat your animal as if it’s my own, simple as that. They will get ample attention throughout the day, as well as a minimum of 3 walks and lots of play time. I prepare frozen fruits and vegetables that are especially healthy for dogs before I welcome pets into my home so I have healthy treats available at all times. I have also purchased my own dog toys and beds that I have around my home to ensure your animal is always comfortable and entertained.
“Great for house/ pet sitting. Used her while I was 3000 miles and an ocean away for over 10 days. Used her for Christmas drop in to feed. Check in on the cats when I took dogs an hour away for two nights over Christmas. Swell communication. The animals love her! So do I!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and have cared for dogs my whole life. I don’t currently have a dog, so I’d love to give your doggies some love! I am a freelance photographer so my schedule is very flexible and can be available for check ins throughout the day or scheduled walks and stays. I have an unfenced yard away from the street and I am also happy to take your dog for a beach day or hike outside of my home.

About: Local to Big Island for the last 6 years, based in upper palisades but willing to travel up to 25 miles. I have 10+ years of animal experience - beginning with volunteering at my local humane society and animal shelters at the age of 16, to training service dogs for children with autism for National Service Dogs and later on becoming a certified dog trainer. While completing my undergraduate degree I worked at 2 different pet stores and dog walked & dog sat for cash on weekends. I have been house/dog sitting regularly for 4+ years for two local families - one of which with 3 elderly wiener dogs and the other with two high energy samoyed puppies turned adult pups. My undergraduate degree is in Animal Biology, and my graduate degree is in Animal Behaviour & Welfare - both completed at University of Guelph in Canada where I was born. Although my specialization was in African penguins, I have lots of love for fluffier animals too. I have worked in the veterinary industry for 3+ years as a vet assistant/technician, but since moving back to Hawaii I’ve moved into the tourism industry. I am comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, and have experience working with dogs of all breeds and ages. I’m currently working part time in the tourism industry, so I have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to accommodate Rover care needs for my clients. With plenty of experience pet sitting and house sitting, I realize that every situation is going to be slightly different — I try to match what the pets are used to first and foremost, the walks pet owners tend to take their dogs on and do activities that are already a part of the pets routine. Though I never let dogs off leash while dog sitting, even if owners usually do; the possibility of losing a pet is not something I’m comfortable with, so better safe than sorry.
About: An animal lover since I was a little girl, I’ve happily cared for many pets and animals in my life, including horses, dogs, cats, birds, fish, guinea pigs, even a snake! I adore all animals and think we can learn a lot from them, but I have a soft spot for our furry four legged friends. Over the years I’ve cared for many neighbors’, friend’s and family pets while they’ve been away, whether house sitting or inviting their pets into my cozy home for a little staycation. I don’t have any pets currently and am dearly missing the company, so I’d love to care for yours! I’m a very cuddly, attentive, reliable and playful pet owner who will shower your pet with love and care, and send many photos and updates. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, I’d be happy to chat and offer my time and care if you feel we may be a good match! I typically work full time Monday through Friday, with a few days working from home in between. Weekends are usually wide open, and I’d love to fill them with a furry friend! Fridays - Mondays are most flexible for me, but I’d love to play around with my schedule to suit your needs! I live in a residential, pet-friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for walks or runs. I have a yard but no fence, so will be extra careful when going outside. Lots of comfy rugs, pillows, and furniture inside for lounging :) happy to crate your dog if desired, or house sit if preferred. Very flexible!
“Callista was so warm and loving to my dog! She was on time, responsible, and focused on making my dog comfortable and happy, even asking for a brush to take out some burrs that got into his fur during their walk. I will definitely be asking Callista to sit again!”

“I could not recommend Bailey more, she did an absolutely awesome job taking care of our kitty! Super communicative and went out of her way to make sure he was well taken care of. ☺️ Will definitely book again.”

“Sarah was so kind to try to get to know my parrot. She didn’t have any experience with birds in particular but I really appreciated her patience and empathy. I would highly recommend her to care for your pet! :)”

“We were so lucky to find Lyrics! Our two young cats quickly bonded with him, and were spoiled with much love and playtime. Lyrics was easy to talk to, listened carefully and did everything that we asked. We will definitely book Lyrics again!”
