About: In my childhood I had many cats and I have now had a dog for almost 8 years! I started dog sitting about 3 years ago for my neighbors and I really enjoy it. I have taken care of their dogs while they were on vacation and have also dropped in while they were working. I have been around pets my whole life and I love them! I love going on walks and playing with them and am very passionate about animal care. I currently work part time at a bakery but my schedule is pretty flexible around that. I do school mostly online so work is the only time I wouldn’t be with the pet! I occasionally work in afternoons, sometimes in the mornings. Contact me and I can work a shcedule out for you! I am very diligent about following instructions for your pet and I am respectful of both your space and the pet! I am also very diligent about safety and will do my best to keep an eye on your pet the whole time. I will clean any messes that may be made and check locks before leaving every time. I always make it a habit to check for food, water, any potential messes, and locks every visit.

About: Hi! I’m a devoted dog lover with over 7 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds and personalities. I live in a house with 1.5 acres of land, including a large, fully fenced grassy yard where dogs can safely run, play, and explore. I currently have a German Shepherd and a Border Collie, so I’m very familiar with active and intelligent breeds. I also have a 3-year-old child who is very gentle and respectful with dogs, and all interactions are always supervised. I am mostly free after dropping my child off at daycare around 8 a.m., which allows me to provide plenty of attention, walks, potty breaks, and playtime throughout the day. I’m comfortable feeding dogs, giving oral medications, and following specific care routines. I truly love caring for dogs and treat every pup like part of my family—with lots of affection, patience, and cuddles. 💛 Please note: • I currently accept dogs under 12 years old • I prefer dogs that are house-trained Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to balance work and pet care effectively. My day usually starts after I drop my child off at daycare around 8:00 AM. From that point, I dedicate time to both my work responsibilities and caring for my pets. I treat every pet like family! Whether in my home or yours, I make sure your pets are happy, healthy, and loved. My care includes: • Following their feeding and medication schedules • Daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation • Keeping them safe, comfortable, and stress-free • Monitoring health and behavior closely • Maintaining clean and cozy spaces I provide reliable, loving care so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and other large and small animals since I was 10. I have also worked in a vets office which has only increased my knowledge and care giving skills for all types of animals. Neighbors, friends and family have always relied on me anytime any day of the week to care for their furry friends. I am currently working with Rover full time so I will have time to play with your pets any time of the day with no worries that they will get the care they deserve. although I live in a apartment, I am more happy to take her for a friend for a long enjoyable walk or hike so they get the enrichment they need. If staying at your home, I can be flexible with any care instructions given. I want your pet to feel as comfortable as possible!

About: I have been taking care of dogs, cats and even horses since the age of 9. From drop ins, dog walking, overnights and even puppy classes I have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I have potty trained, crate trained, and taught basic commands to both puppy and adult dogs. I have cared for senior dogs and have experience giving meds and care for post surgery/medical procedure. From the time I was a child I have loved being trusted to care for neighbors and friends animals while they were away. No animal is off limits as I love them all! I look forward to meeting and working with you and yours! I am currently staying at home while my husband works so my schedule is very open. Every day of the week is a possibility for drop ins or overnight care. I live in a home with plenty of space to crate your baby if they stay the night, ensuring their safety and ours. I currently own a 75lb goldendoodle who loves playing with other dogs. My neighborhood is incredibly dog friendly and is lined on a paved circle perfect for walking dogs. I usually do an AM and PM walk to allow dogs to potty, along with intermittently taking them out throughout the day. Most play time happens inside where there is a much lower risk of escape or overheating.

About: I’ve taken care of every kind of dog since I was about 10 years old. Throughout the years I have cared for my neighbors and family friends pets along side my own pups. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time and attention to the pets I care for. I plan my days so that walks, feeding times, playtime, and check-ins are done consistently and on schedule. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for while maintaining their normal routine as much as possible. I carefully follow the owner’s instructions for feeding schedules, medications (if needed), potty breaks, and exercise so their pet experiences as little disruption as possible. In my home, I provide a calm, clean, and pet-friendly environment where pets can relax, play, and receive lots of attention. I make sure they have a comfortable place to rest, regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, and plenty of affection. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their space with the same respect I would my own. I stick closely to the pet’s usual routine, provide walks and playtime, keep food and water fresh, and make sure the home stays tidy. I also provide updates and photos so owners can feel reassured that their pets are happy and well cared for while they’re away. My goal is always to make pets feel loved, safe, and stress-free while their owners are gone.

About: I am a 24-year-old college student searching for pet-sitting opportunities in Tallahassee, Florida. I am passionate about animals and plan on entering a Zoology-related career field. My specialty lies in reptiles, amphibians, and cats, but I am just as capable of caring for small dogs and birds. I do not accept large dogs as I am a slight individual and have difficulty handling them. Over the years, I have cared for a boa constrictor, a leopard gecko, two rats, two African dwarf frogs, a red-eared slider, a Shih Tzu, and a total of seven cats. Fun Fact: Jackson Galaxy and Steve Irwin are heroes of mine! My schedule is flexible, and I will work part or full-time as required. I am willing to stop by once a day or stay the night with your pet(s) as needed. I have reliable transportation and can care for small animals at any client's home in the Tallahassee area. With all pets, I will require a meeting beforehand to ensure they are comfortable with me and that I am providing the best possible care. This will include me writing down all necessary information, such as emergency contact numbers, feeding schedules, specific care requirements, and household upkeep. I will maintain steady contact with the client through phone calls and texts while caring for their animal(s).

About: I’ve been pet sitting for family for years now and figured it’s time to branch out the business. I live alone, have a large back yard and a nice park nearby my house. I would pet sit at times when I am available to and take on pets in a manner that makes logistical sense for me and my schedule. I check on them and look for any signs of obvious discomfort or distress. Make sure they have time to use the bathroom/clean litter box and water. Most animals will try and communicate to you what they need, so it’s good to follow the routines they have at home and interpret what they need and at what time.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my lifelong experience with animals and my genuine love for caring for them. I currently have two cats of my own, and I’ve grown up in a home with both cats and dogs since I was a child, so being around pets and understanding their needs has always been a natural part of my life. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including kittens, puppies, and senior animals. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, administering oral medications, and following detailed care instructions closely to make sure each pet stays happy and comfortable while their owner is away. For dogs, I enjoy walks, playtime, and keeping them on a consistent routine. For cats, I focus on creating a calm, clean, and low-stress environment while respecting their boundaries and personality. I always adjust my care based on each pet’s individual needs and energy level. I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing regular updates with photos and messages so pet parents can feel at ease. My goal is always to treat every pet with the same care, patience, and attention I give my own. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as a graduate student with a flexible schedule. I am available mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day, and I plan my classes and responsibilities so I can consistently prioritize pet visits. I’m reliable about showing up on time and making sure pets get care without rushing. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their space and follow all instructions exactly as given. About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I've been dog sitting for over a year and had my own dogs for more than 7 years. Caring for animals genuinely makes me happy, and I treat every dog as if they were my own. I don't see Rover as just a job, it's more like a hobby that I really enjoy. Since I can't have a dog of my own right now, caring for other people's dogs allows me to enjoy their company and give them lots of love and attention I have a very flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention and care throughout the day. Dogs are rarely left alone and can enjoy multiple walks, playtime, potty breaks, and lots of companionship. I live in a spacious home with a large backyard where dogs can safely play and enjoy outdoor time. Since I have a flexible schedule and spend most of my time at home, pets receive plenty of attention throughout the day. I always follow each pet's routine and owner's instructions carefully to ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while in my care ❤️🐶

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats my entire life. Professionally I have worked with animals for about 5 years now. I worked at a doggy daycare for almost 3 years. Working there taught me a great deal about animal behavior and different kinds of dog personalities. I currently work at an animal hospital as a veterinary assistant. My job duties involve administering medication daily and taking care of both dogs and cats. I have previously worked at an emergency veterinary hospital as well, which helped me learn how to react best under pressure. I have 3 fur babies of my own (1 dog and 2 cats). I have previously volunteered at local animal shelters where I met many different types of dogs and cats. I look forward to meeting your pets! I currently work full time as a veterinary assistant, so during the week I am only available before 7:30am and after 5:30pm. I am fully available on the weekends! I am happy to follow any directions left for me about caring for your fur babies! I have pets of my own that all have different feeding schedules, amounts, and medications. So lists of requests and directions do not scare me!

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 485 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Capps. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Capps. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Capps.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Capps. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
