About: As long as I can remember, we have always had dogs in our family household. I have offered dog sitting services for friends and family, and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to try it here! I have a chocolate lab mix who is my best friend and travel partner who would vouch that I give great belly rubs and know how to throw a frisbee. We’ve recently decided to add a new sibling to the household, and we now have an Aussie/Chihuahua mix, Sadie. She’s been socialized with other dogs and has all her vaccines - she’s ready to make more friends. I’m dependable and respectful, so I’d love to meet with you to determine if I’d be a great fit for you and your pup! Most weeks I am remote MWF and have the ability to give the pups attention throughout the day. While working, I typically throw on some DogTV and put out some busy toys to keep minds stimulated and create a structured environment for relaxation and stimulation. I do have the ability to request to WFH on weeks I have extra fur babies. I can meet with you and discuss how you prefer your pets to be cared for - I can take your pups on a walk around the neighborhood or get them active in a fenced in backyard. :)
“From the moment I entrusted Luna into Joanne's care, I felt an immediate sense of reassurance and confidence. Joanne's genuine affection for animals was evident in every interaction she had with Luna. She treated Luna as if she were her own, ensuring that she received the highest quality care and attention. During Luna's stay, Joanne went above and beyond to cater to Luna's needs. She meticulously followed Luna's feeding schedule, and ensured Luna had ample exercise and playtime. I was delighted to receive regular updates and photos from Joanne, which further showcased her attentiveness and commitment to providing a safe and stimulating environment for Luna. One aspect that truly sets Joanne apart is her exceptional communication skills. She was always prompt in responding to any inquiries I had and kept me well-informed about Luna's well-being and activities. About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have a deep passion for providing safe, loving environments for pets of all kinds. As a dedicated animal lover, I’ve personally rescued and fostered animals, which has given me hands‑on experience with pets of different temperaments, needs, and backgrounds. At home, I care for my two friendly dogs, Rose and Oreo, along with our four cats, Binx, Frodo, Samwise, and our foster kitty Ying. Because of this, I’m very comfortable managing multi‑pet households and ensuring everyone feels comfortable, safe, and included. All of my pets are well‑socialized and get along, creating a calm and welcoming environment for visiting animals. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day—whether that means playtime, walks, feeding routines, or just making sure your pet feels loved and secure. My long‑term goal is to open my own animal rescue, and every pet I care for is treated like part of the family. I work full time from home. I have flexibility in my schedule to care for pets such as feeding, medicine, frequent potty breaks and walks. I have a fenced in yard, dog gates for the stairs and master bedroom to keep the dogs out of areas they should not be in. I have crates for my dogs to sleep in or to stay in when I leave the house.

About: I have been a dog sitter for the past decade, including up to 5 dogs at the same time. I have a medium size dog at home that loves to play with others. I have had great success in teaching dogs new tricks and I also have experience in caring for senior dogs and dogs that need medication. I work evenings / nights during the week, therefore walks are typically in the early to mid mornings, especially on hot summer days. I have a fenced in yard with allows for running and playing. I also live within walking distance to a dog park! I have a fenced in yard and one dog at home. She is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs. I do allow pets on furniture. I also try to have my dog play with an immersive dog toy for brain stimulation and reduce boredom. If you wish to have your dog in a crate I can do that!
“Alexis kept our Lab & English Bulldog at her house while we went away for the weekend. She sent pictures and kept us updated on how they were doing. She was super great & we will most definitely use her again! We could tell they had lots of good play time because they were zonked out when we got home, which is great! They were happy and so were we.”

“Tegan was AMAZING! She kept us up to date with messages and pictures the entire time. She was able to administer my cat oral medication and accommodated the need for her cat and our animals to be separated if needed. My fiance and I are already talking about booking her again.”

“Diana was absolutely amazing! She sent me pictures the whole time and text me the whole time and just kept me updated. It was never too much it was just enough. I definitely recommend her or anyone that is just looking for a calm, comforting, trustworthy person. I will definitely use her again and I have already recommended her to many of my friends. She has been the best Rover sitter I have had yet over the past four years. She is amazing!”

About: I have always had dogs growing up of all shapes and sizes. I currently live on a few acres with my husband, our dog, cat, and rabbit. I have had experience with pregnant dogs, litters of puppies, as well as overnight care. I love dogs, and have a very friendly dog myself who loves to play fetch. I am a full time teacher, however on weekends I am normally free to stay at home. I am not able to board during the week, however I am free to do house visits in the afternoon/evening. I have a fenced in yard. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, but I do normally sit on the floor with my dog. I have multiple rooms to keep the rabbit, and cat seperated if need be,
“My pups stay with Chelsea was fantastic. I'm always a little apprehensive when leaving my dogs somewhere new but they came back happy, healthy, and tired and it showed they truly were on vacation too! Chelsea updated me daily with plenty of photos and texts of how they were doing so the entire time we were away we knew they were in good hands. I would happily recommend her to everyone.”

About: Over the years, I have house sat for numerous friends and family while they were away on vacation or business trips. I genuinely love getting to play and take care of other peoples animals. You can be at ease knowing your fur baby will be happily waiting for you to return home. I also worked at a vet clinic for about two years taking care of small and large animals. Therefore, I am very comfortable with a wide array of animals. I do work a 40 hour per week job as a landscape estimator. Monday, Wednesday, & Friday I work from 7am-4pm. Tuesday & Thursday I work 9am - 5pm. Any time outside of these hours is flexible. I currently live in an apartment with my 50lb Labrador named Gus. This is why I am not offering in house pet care haha. He is definitely spoiled, but is crated during the day while I am at work so he does not eat my furniture. I drive home every day at lunch and let him outside to use the restroom. While I am walking your dogs I would like to also walk my dog. He is super friendly with other dogs and is honestly a big goof ball. If you request for me to take care of your animals in your own home I always care for them as instructed. Being, gentle, friendly, and loving with them is obviously apart of the job, but the specifics for feeding, potty breaks, etc is dependent on the situation.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
