“Brittany was so amazing with my Boxer, I think Lucy was almost bummed when we got back! Brittany kept me updated with photos and messages to let me know how much fun Lucy was having in her home. I didn’t worry at all while we were away and I will definitely use Brittany again in the future!”
“Chelsea did such a wonderful job taking care of our pups. It was a relief to know they were in such good hands. Her place was perfect for them to get the exercise and attention they needed. If we ever need care for them in the future, Chelsea will be our go to for sure! Highly recommend”

“Maria was great, and our dog seems like he had a good time. Maria was so accommodating and flexible when we needed to pick him up an hour late because our kid overslept. We will definitely be booking with her again next time we need a sitter!”

“Absolutely, one of the best sitters I have ever had. Would constantly keep us updated and would play with him often. Tegan and her fiancé seem to really under dogs. Keep in Caesar is an Australian Kelpie which means he has extremely high energy levels. If they can handle him, they can handle any dog. I cannot recommend her enough to everyone who uses this service.”

“Joanne’s family was a great fit for Zoey! We dropped her off while visiting Dallas for a few days because our friend has a cat and doesn’t love dogs :( Anyway, Joanne lived super close so we were even able to pick up Zoey and take her for a walk while she was there. Joanne was flexible and accommodating and had a great yard for Zoey and her other senior pups :)”

About: I have been a dog sitter for the past decade, including up to 5 dogs at the same time. I have a medium size dog at home that loves to play with others. I have had great success in teaching dogs new tricks and I also have experience in caring for senior dogs and dogs that need medication. I work evenings / nights during the week, therefore walks are typically in the early to mid mornings, especially on hot summer days. I have a fenced in yard with allows for running and playing. I also live within walking distance to a dog park! I have a fenced in yard and one dog at home. She is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs. I do allow pets on furniture. I also try to have my dog play with an immersive dog toy for brain stimulation and reduce boredom. If you wish to have your dog in a crate I can do that!
About: Over the years, I have house sat for numerous friends and family while they were away on vacation or business trips. I genuinely love getting to play and take care of other peoples animals. You can be at ease knowing your fur baby will be happily waiting for you to return home. I also worked at a vet clinic for about two years taking care of small and large animals. Therefore, I am very comfortable with a wide array of animals. I do work a 40 hour per week job as a landscape estimator. Monday, Wednesday, & Friday I work from 7am-4pm. Tuesday & Thursday I work 9am - 5pm. Any time outside of these hours is flexible. I currently live in an apartment with my 50lb Labrador named Gus. This is why I am not offering in house pet care haha. He is definitely spoiled, but is crated during the day while I am at work so he does not eat my furniture. I drive home every day at lunch and let him outside to use the restroom. While I am walking your dogs I would like to also walk my dog. He is super friendly with other dogs and is honestly a big goof ball. If you request for me to take care of your animals in your own home I always care for them as instructed. Being, gentle, friendly, and loving with them is obviously apart of the job, but the specifics for feeding, potty breaks, etc is dependent on the situation.
About: I have always had dogs growing up of all shapes and sizes. I currently live on a few acres with my husband, our dog, cat, and rabbit. I am a full time teacher, however on weekends I am normally free to stay at home. I am not able to board during the week, however I am free to do house visits in the afternoon/evening. I have a fenced in yard. Dogs are not allowed on the furniture, but I do normally sit on the floor with my dog. I have multiple rooms to keep the rabbit, and cat seperated if need be,

About: I have extensive experience with pets from doggy daycares to grooming shops to vet clinics. I have been pet sitting and grooming for the last 10 years. My home is basically for my furr babies. They're allowed on the furniture even though they have 5 of their own beds and 4 little hidey houses. They literally have over 100 toys, all kinds, that they are willing to share with any pup they welcome in here. The house is theirs, I just live here and clean up after them. I work from home and I have classes that are mostly online so, I am home basically all day. I'll be able to watch the dogs all day and I let them go outside about every hour or so to go potty. I have a fenced in yard with a few chickens in the yard. I have an above ground pool with a floating doggy dock to make it easy for them to get out of the pool if they ever jump in but its usually closed off unless it is being actively used. I have 2 friendly shih tzu sisters that are spoiled rotten and 2 little kittens that love playing with the dogs. Dogs can go on all furniture and there are plenty of toys to play with. There are a bunch of dog beds and comfy spots for them to chill inside.

About: Growing up I personally have owned both a cat & dog. Both of which I took care of myself as well as I’ve taking care of/watched multiple pets for family & friends. I’m currently free anytime of the week, except for Wednesday evenings for church. I am starting a part-time job soon and will update my schedule accordingly to my schedule. I have a fenced in backyard for your pets roam around freely in & I’m located in a nice neighborhood area with paths for walking. I’m also fine with pet sitting at your house if you’d prefer that, either way I can care for exactly as you like.
About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have a deep passion for providing safe, loving environments for pets of all kinds. As a dedicated animal lover, I’ve personally rescued and fostered animals, which has given me hands‑on experience with pets of different temperaments, needs, and backgrounds. At home, I care for my two friendly dogs, Rose and Oreo, along with our four cats, Binx, Frodo, Samwise, and our foster kitty Ying. Because of this, I’m very comfortable managing multi‑pet households and ensuring everyone feels comfortable, safe, and included. All of my pets are well‑socialized and get along, creating a calm and welcoming environment for visiting animals. Since I work from home, I’m able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and attention throughout the day—whether that means playtime, walks, feeding routines, or just making sure your pet feels loved and secure. My long‑term goal is to open my own animal rescue, and every pet I care for is treated like part of the family. I work full time from home. I have flexibility in my schedule to care for pets such as feeding, medicine, frequent potty breaks and walks. I have a fenced in yard, dog gates for the stairs and master bedroom to keep the dogs out of areas they should not be in. I have crates for my dogs to sleep in or to stay in when I leave the house.
“Alexis kept our Lab & English Bulldog at her house while we went away for the weekend. She sent pictures and kept us updated on how they were doing. She was super great & we will most definitely use her again! We could tell they had lots of good play time because they were zonked out when we got home, which is great! They were happy and so were we.”

About: My mission is to give you peace of mind by making sure your animals feel safe and are loved and well cared for. I’ve always had a love for animals and a passion for caring for them. I have been a pet parent for the past 10 years and have been a part-time pet sitter for friends and family during that time. I have changed careers and am now a full-time pet sitter. I also volunteered at two animal shelters for 5 years. I offer personalized care for your pets based on their needs and routines—whether they’re energetic pups who love to play fetch, or more chill kitties who just need a lap to nap on, I’m happy to accommodate. What makes me stand out? I’m patient, attentive, and truly enjoy spending time with animals. I’ll send you regular updates, so you never have to worry, and I’m happy to follow any special instructions to ensure your pet feels right at home. I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy for your pet and I take that responsibility seriously. I am a full-time pet sitter, so I have lots of time to devote to your fur babies. I am available for drop-ins, overnight visits and boarding all throughout the week. I have a fenced in yard with pet turf for your fur babies to run and play. I treat your dogs as if they were my own, providing lots of love and attention. The dogs have free roam of the house including my bed for lots of cuddling.
About: As long as I can remember, we have always had dogs in our family household. I have offered dog sitting services for friends and family, and I enjoyed it so much that I wanted to try it here! I have a chocolate lab mix who is my best friend and travel partner who would vouch that I give great belly rubs and know how to throw a frisbee. We’ve recently decided to add a new sibling to the household, and we now have an Aussie/Chihuahua mix, Sadie. She’s been socialized with other dogs and has all her vaccines - she’s ready to make more friends. I’m dependable and respectful, so I’d love to meet with you to determine if I’d be a great fit for you and your pup! Most weeks I am remote MWF and have the ability to give the pups attention throughout the day. While working, I typically throw on some DogTV and put out some busy toys to keep minds stimulated and create a structured environment for relaxation and stimulation. I do have the ability to request to WFH on weeks I have extra fur babies. I can meet with you and discuss how you prefer your pets to be cared for - I can take your pups on a walk around the neighborhood or get them active in a fenced in backyard. :)
“Diana was absolutely amazing! She sent me pictures the whole time and text me the whole time and just kept me updated. It was never too much it was just enough. I definitely recommend her or anyone that is just looking for a calm, comforting, trustworthy person. I will definitely use her again and I have already recommended her to many of my friends. She has been the best Rover sitter I have had yet over the past four years. She is amazing!”

“Angelica was absolutely fantastic with my corgi. She was very attentive and shared pictures and activities they were doing throughout the day. This is my second time booking with her and will definitely NOT be the last. My pup loves her.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in TX ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
