We are new to the area and Stephen was so kind as to take us on as a new client last-minute. Jett had a couple wonderful walks complete with a game of fetch as well, and Stephen even left us a new ball to play with! Thank you so much! We will definitely schedule again soon!

About: My years of having and loving cats and dogs of different types has prepared me to be qualified to love and care for yours when you have a need. I am retired from the Army and Retail Distribution. I enjoy my travel time and socializing time, but want to be useful in a way that would absolutely bring me joy. Being with fur babies of the canine and feline variety would be fun. I can tailor my time to your needs. I can come to you so that your loved one does not need to be put in an environment they're not familiar with. Play time, cuddle time, walks, all no problem. I treat them as safely and lovingly as I do my own.

I moved to PA a few months ago and was looking for a dog walker. So glad I found Vu. He immediately responded when I had reached out to him. Vu has good work ethics and my pups loves him. He's great with them. Always letting me know if there are any issues. I would highly recommend Vu!

Kendall has been wonderful with my rescue pup who’s experiencing a lot of separation anxiety since we moved and I’ve been having to travel for work a few days a week. She’s very communicative and I can tell she takes great care of all the pets that are in her charge. I would highly recommend Kendall for your pet sitting/walking needs any time!

Beth was amazing! She walked our dog every day for a week. She bonded with our dog, who is cautious and was hesitant to walk at first. Beth managed to get her to relax and go on nice walks every day.

About: I grew up pet sitting for several friends and family members. My family has owned Dobermans, Rottweilers, and huskies throughout the years. My own personal pets are a Belgian Malinois, a standard Poodle, and two cats. I am a certified dog groomer that has been grooming for 5 years, and was an assistant manager at a cat and dog boarding facility for 2 years. I have experience caring for all ages and sizes of pets, from newborns to seniors. I have experience working under and learning from a balanced trainer, however I am not an official dog trainer. I currently work 1-2 days a week, so I have plenty of availability to do drop in playtimes, potty breaks, and walks, multiple times per day if needed. My goal is to meet your pets' individual needs. If you have pets that are super high energy and want to go wild, I'm here for it! If you have pets that just want someone in the room to keep them company or cuddle for a bit, I'm here for it! The goal is to show your fur babies love and fun while I am with them, no matter what that looks like for them!

About: I’ve cared for dogs in clients’ homes before and I’m an attentive, responsible caregiver. I also have a background resource many pet sitters don’t: my girlfriend is currently in vet school, so I can draw on real veterinary knowledge when it comes to medical questions, medication schedules, or health concerns — not just guesswork. I also have two dogs of my own, ages 10 and 8, so I’m well versed in the needs of both older, mellower dogs and animals with more specific care routines. Whether your dog needs a calm, predictable environment or just an active playmate, I’ve got it covered I run my own online business, Peptrova, a peptide company, so my schedule is largely self-directed and wide open compared to a typical 9-to-5. That means I can prioritize your pet’s care around your timeline rather than squeezing visits in around a rigid job — whether that’s flexibility for last-minute bookings, longer visits, or being consistently available throughout the day for check-ins. Whether I’m caring for a pet in my own home or a client’s home, my priority is keeping their routine as normal and stress-free as possible — same feeding times, same walk schedule, same spots to sleep. I pay close attention to each pet’s individual personality and needs rather than treating every dog the same way. I also just genuinely have a lot of sympathy for animals — I notice when they’re anxious, uncomfortable, or acting off, and I take that seriously rather than brushing it aside. Combined with my girlfriend’s veterinary background, that means your pet is watched closely and cared for with real attentiveness, not just supervised.

It also makes me feel better knowing she has experience as a vet tech. We look forward to using Jody in the future for many more dog walks to come. Thank you Jody!

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember. There were always multiple cats and dogs in my home growing up. My husband, three children (15,13,11) and myself love pets and have take care of family and friends' pets quite often, including bunnies and chickens! We had a large labradoodle with special needs in the past and currently have another large labradoodle. I am comfortable with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes and with giving meds as needed. My kids are always up for a snuggle also! I am a homeschool, stay at home mom of 3. Now that my children are older and more independent my schedule is rather flexible. We are active and walk often and can do school anywhere! Sometimes it would be just me but at times my children (15,13,11) would accompany me as well. We have a fenced in dog run which is very secure. If I am coming to your home I will follow any and all guidelines you have to make sure your pet is safe and happy and loved while you are away.

Makayla responded within minutes of us requesting a last minute walker for Archer. She communicated clearly and then showed up right on time. She gave me a couple of updates during the walk and then a clear summary as to how she left. We definitely recommend her and will be happy to request Makayla again soon!

About: Hi! I’m a mom of 1 with loads of experience working with all kinds of animals and I am a current AVA student. I was an intern for an animal shelter for 3 years, a dog groomer, and I’ve always had my own animals too. I’m comfortable with special needs animals and all shapes and sizes. I pet sit for several years too and understand how important it is to find a sitter you can trust and depend on. I’m happy to provide more details on my experience! I've watched animals of all kinds for years, including dogs, cats, bunnies, rats, fish & coral, reptiles and amphibians. I was a professional dog groomer and a shelter intern for 3 years, with lots of safety and behavioral training. I focus on safety when it comes to working with animals and take all precautions when greeting, interacting (or avoiding) other animals, and generally all areas. Second to safety, building trust and bonding with animals is something I value highly. I am typically available after 3:00pm during the week and I am flexible on the weekends. I have reliable transportation and excellent communication skills so parents should feel at ease when I take care of their pets. I always follow all requests and instructions from parents for their pets. I do not sit or board currently in our out of my home.

About: Hello I am a former home stager, custom closet, kitchen and bathroom designer. I have owned and taken care of animals of breeds and ages. Everything from turtles and lizards to cats, dogs and horses. From kittens to older animals. I travel for work with a ever changing schedule so I do not own pets like I would like to. I currently own an older cat but that’s all. I am happy to spend my time off helping others care for their pets as if they were my own. I am insured. My schedule changes almost daily. I don’t work a normal 9-5 job. I have anywhere from 7-15 days off a month. I will even walk a dog on my way home from work it my schedule allows for it. It’s best to contact me for services at last minute or two weeks BEFORE the next month. I usually have my schedule around 20th the month before. For example I should know my December schedule around November 20th. I live in the suburbs and drive to the city for work. So I am happy to drive to anyone’s home in between my home and Philadelphia.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I worked at a Dog Kennel for 6 years. I would typically take care of 20+ dogs by myself. I am comfortable with all types of dogs at any age! From scared old pups to crazy hyper pups! I have taken care of dogs that were over 15 years old who couldn’t walk and puppies who were trying to eat everything they saw. I know my way with dogs pretty well and I’ve never met a dog that I couldn’t handle. My schedule is currently only open after 5pm Monday through Friday and any time on the weekends! I am able to do walk in to check on the pups and walks! I always try to get to know the owner and dog before taking care of the pup or staying in the clients home. I prefer meeting both client and dog about a week before starting to take care of the pups just so everyone is comfortable!

Robin was great with my Lucy girl, she sent a ton of pictures and thorough updates, which I really appreciate. She catered to Lucy with the high heat temps to make sure she still got her full walk and still hung out with her and even gave my skittish cat some loves too 🙂. Would 10/10 recommend!

  • 91% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
