“The family was absolutely wonderful and Angel had such a fantastic time. It was such a relief knowing that she was safe while her human was in the hospital. Thank you so much for watching over her and making her feel safe, loved and happy.”

About: I’ve had dogs and cats all my life and currently have a puppy named Pistachio, who we’ve been raising for the past year. I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding, playtime, and caring for pets with different personalities and energy levels. I genuinely love animals and will treat your pet like family while you’re away. Pet care is already a big part of our daily routine since we have our own puppy, Pistachio. I work full-time, but my partner is home often and available for frequent walks, playtime, feeding, and attention throughout the day. We make sure pets get lots of exercise, affection, and supervision, and we’re flexible with morning, evening, and weekend care We live in a pet-friendly apartment and are lucky to have a large green space right behind our building where dogs can safely walk, play, and run with our puppy, Pistachio. We always focus on making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for in a calm environment. We follow each pet’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from owners. Your pet will be treated like part of the family while staying with us.
“Catia was incredibly attentive to my dog while she was boarded. My dog was incredibly well taken care of and had exciting enrichment opportunities (playing with others, trips to the park, time in the backyard, and quality snuggle time indoors). Catia offered a safe and fun home for my dog to board while I was away and sent many updates while I was away. I would absolutely book with Catia again!”

“Naomi and Sam are wonderful! My 90lbs dog spent the Christmas holidays with them. I couldn’t have hoped for a better family for him. They took him in and treated him as part of their family. My dog hang out with their Labrador and their kids. And, from that picture Naomi sent, we can tell that they formed a special bond. My dog even got gifts from Santa ☺️. We thank Naomi and Sam for everything they did for our 🐶.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️…Amazing experience!! I would give her more stars if I could. Samantha took exceptional care of Rocky! So glad to have found such a wonderful person on such a large platform. She has a remarkable family who kindly made Rocky feel right at home. So grateful for her putting us at ease during his first overnight visit. Rocky will definitely be returning.”

“My dogs had a blast with Zaira and her family!!! They spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful we were having over the weekend and she gave them the love and attention they needed. She followed all care instructions to the letter and kept me updated with pictures and messages throughout their stay. Overall 10000/10, will absolutely re-book with Zaira. Mil gracias 💛”

“Trisha was fantastic. It was Charlie’s first experience going to a sitter and I was a little nervous. Tricia’s house is warm and friendly. She greeted us at the door and engaged with Charlie immediately. He even felt comfortable enough to run through the house to get a toy! What I really appreciated was how Trisha asked about Charlie’s likes/dislikes and routine. She works really hard to ensure everything is as consistent and comfortable as possible. When I picked him up the next day he was happy and energetic. Thank you Trisha for making our first Rover experience an awesome one. We look forward to Charlie’s next sleepover with you.”

“Very grateful to Jeff for all the loving care he provided for our dog during an eleven day stay. We received daily updates, photos and videos of our pet at play, on walks and during quiet time. Highly recommend Jeff as a professional dog caregiver.”

“We really liked Paige. She came over to meet/greet the dogs before her actual stay. We have 3 dogs and one is very anxious/reactive. I had told this to Paige and she was perfect with her. Staying quiet and giving a very good soft relaxed energy to her. Paige also does Reiki and offered to do some on this dog. When we came home we were surprised that Paige had washed and folded the sheets and towel and the dogs seemed happy and relaxed. Paige stayed in touch with us while we were away and sent pictures, which was very reassuring to know that she arrived on time and was here.”

“Melanie has been boarding my German shepherd River for several months now, and she’s simply just the BEST! She’s very professional, kind and caring, and accommodating. River is always excited to go there to hang out with her dog Tulo and her kids. It’s a huge load off my mind that he’s being well looked after for both short and long stays. Thanks so much for all you do Melanie!”

“Sandy and her partner were lovely to communicate & coordinate with and I received regular updates on Shadow’s stay with them. They have a big back yard that is fenced in that my dog loved to explore and a nice deck for him to sun tan on (his fav). Would highly recommend Sandy as a rover sitter!”

“Agnes did an amazing job of taking care of our pup! Our pup came down with intestinal issues the morning we were supposed to drop her off but Agnes was happy to look after her anyway. She made chicken for her to settle her upset stomach and kept a closer eye on her with constant updates to us. I can't say enough how much we appreciate the great care that Agnes provided!”

“Courtney and Allan were so great with our dog, Oliver! Over his 3-day stay, they took him for many walks, gave him lots of cuddles and were very communicative and sent lots of photos. He genuinely looked at home with them and it was so lovely to see. I’m sure that Oliver is excited for his next stay with Courtney and Allan!”

I cannot thank Emily enough for looking after Dexter with utmost care and love- this weeked. This must be the best accommodation for Dexter yet, in a long time. Best of all, he gets socialized with other dogs who are also away from their homes and get to hang out with fur friends, Emily and company, including cats. 😀 My boi is very sociable and in most times very lovingly clingy. Emily has provided me wirh photo and video updates every day so I can also have a glimpse of my fur baby's day. This brings me extra joy each time. Thanks Emily!!! I will definitely entrust Dexter again in your very caring hands and thoughtful ways. Highly recommended 👌 👍 👏 💯

Gigi (and I) are so pleased with the wonderful care received during her stay with your family. The care and daily feedback was very appreciated and we are VERY grateful - especially when willing to add an impromptu day to Gigi’s stay. You will come highly recommended by me if I am contacted and I would have no qualms in having you take care of Gigi again. Thanks, Gigi and Anne

Courtney and Allen were amazing! They were very welcoming and Charlie was instantly comfortable in their home, they took him for walks, and they have nice open backyard for running around. They sent updates and pictures throughout the night and he looked to be having the best time. 10/10 service for our boy! I recommend booking with them and I will use their services again!!!!

Melanie was great. She responded to my inquiry right away. Melanie took the time to meet me and my dog before we were going away to make sure that we were all a good fit. She asked lots of questions about our daily routine. My dog stayed with Melanie for 6 days. We received pictures and daily updates. I would highly recommend Melanie.

I can’t thank this family enough they took in my furbaby with no notice when I have an emergency while travelling , treated her like family I am forever grateful to the attention and care she received The pictures of her being happy were worth everything ans they made a stressful time so much easier

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Welland home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
