“Cassandra has been on time she has not missed a single visit I find her to be trustworthy and above all has common sense which seems to be in short supply these days. I am going to be using more of her services in the coming weeks.. there's not too many people I would trust in my home but I feel comfortable with Cassandra.”

“Holly is incredible. This is her second time with my kitties. I have a very timid cat, and she let Holly give her pets and came out to eat in her usual spot. Holly helped create a safe and comfortable environment in her check ins with my two cats. She gave me such peace of mind with photos and updates. Thank you Holly!”

About: I have had a menagerie since highschool, 4 dogs two of which were rescues, 3 cats, a bearded dragon and a tortoise all under one roof. I miss them all dearly since I moved back down south so I’m looking to share the love again I am currently working part time and have little hours from my job, so my availability is wide open for the most part. I can probably look after pets at least 4 times per week Regardless of where I am, I respect both the space (if it is not my own) and the animal. I want absolute comfort for any animal I look after. They will get an abundance of attention and affection depending on their individual needs. Feeding on time, bathing if they get dirty, and looking after the home as a side thing.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs, cats and fish my entire life. I’ve also worked in the pet industry and am certified in canine and feline health and nutrition. I love all pets including small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and birds. My official (and professional) education is in Ecology, which I went into because I care deeply for those who can’t speak for themselves. I’m compassionate, patient, and reliable. I promise you your pet will be well taken care of with me! I’m currently searching for full time work, so my schedule is very flexible and open! Please let me know of any specific scheduling requirements your pet needs (i.e., feeding, administering medicine, walks) prior to booking. Just like people, animals all have different personalities and requirements! I am very understanding and patient of all animals and their needs. I would love to know any of your pets quirks so I can ensure they are comfortable while getting to know me.
“Trisha arrived on time, shared pictures and sent me a nice message letting me know Kahlua was doing well. I am very happy to know my dog is in good hands with Trisha. I would highly recommend.”

About: Growing up with dogs certainly makes a lot of difference. Although I do not have any professional per se experience but being a dog owner has definitely made me realize how other dog owners feel. We all want the same thing, our beautiful, furry friends to get the happiness and health they deserve. And when you're too busy with your jobs to provide them attention, that's what I am here for. With me near your dogs, you won't have to worry about anything. I have also given my four dogs training and handled them since they were babies. Being in this profession is not just about making money, it is also for doing what I love the most- taking care of dogs. Given me a chance, your dog will feel safe, nourished and happy. I am a full time architectural technologist looking for some extra income. That being said, being a pet owner myself I realize how anxiety inducing it can be to leave your pets alone. My main goal would be to provide a healthy and safe environment for your pets in your absence. Although I live in a duplex, I have access to the front and back yard and the neighborhood I live in is extremely pet friendly with dog parks on a 10 minute walking distance. I can easily create separate spaces for multiple pets and take them out on walks as required.

About: I grew up with a beautiful, high-energy golden retriever, taking him for walks and car rides, brushing him, and giving him tons of pets. As someone who loves animals but isn’t in the position to have a pet of my own, I take any opportunity I can to hangout and take care of them. I had the opportunity recently to dog walk a senior dog and pet sit a couple big dogs for a few family friends and loved every minute of it. I took them for walks and potty breaks, fed them, played with them, and made sure to keep them on their normal routine while their owners were away. I am a quick learner who is able to follow instruction very well and ask questions when needed, so if your pet needs any extra care (for example, administering oral medication), I am more than comfortable taking on new tasks. I am currently in between employment and am looking for ways to make some money while I gear up for a master’s program in Scotland this fall. My availability is very flexible (e.g. mornings, afternoons, evenings, week days, and weekends) as my only other commitment is helping my brother with special needs on occasion. I will have plenty of time to give extra care and attention to your pets. I am very respectful, making sure to treat your home and pets as my own and ensuring their safety. For walks, I’ll make sure to use your preferred collar or harness, take the same walking route if that is what your pet prefers, always picking up their poop and putting it in the proper garbage, and making sure the doors/gates are locked before leaving. If your dog doesn’t enjoy interactions with other pets or people, I will make sure to avoid those situations, or if they do, give them plenty of time to socialize. In the home, I will make sure any hazards are put away, food is secured, things are put back where they belong, and make sure off-limit places stay off-limits. I will follow all instructions and send questions your way if I am unsure about anything. Plus, I’ll send photo updates so you know your pet is happy and well when you’re away.
About: I’ve been walking dogs around my neighbourhood since i was 15! I have experience in bathing, walking, and muzzling when needed within reason. I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes and I bring my own dog bags! I’m currently not in school and i’m self employed. I’m able to pop in and give your pets some love/play time/bathroom breaks anytime after 11am! When it comes to my cats i ensure they get lots of play time, love, and plenty of water. They free feed and have their bowls washed daily. When it comes to clients pets i stick to your instructions, I will always make sure they have access to water.

“Emily is great with Mötley. He's a high energy Aussie and by the end of her visits, he's tuckered out. I also love the Rover cards left by her with how the visit went as well as pictures.”

About: Nice to meet you! My name is Chelsea, I am a 32-year-old Law Clerk, looking to make some extra money to save for a house! I am very responsible, reliable, trustworthy, and I absolutely LOVE animals! I have volunteered at the SPCA working with a variety of animals, gaining all the experience that comes along with it. DOGS: I am comfortable with any dog type. Big, small, friendly, shy, energetic, lazy- you name it! I can handle any breed, from a Chihuahua to a Great Dane. I can tire out your energetic pooch, or sit down and relax with your fur baby, and make them feel safe and comfortable. My mother also had her own dog walking business, and I thought that with the experience I gained helping her, I could start to help my local friends in the Niagara Region! CATS: I understand that cats need care tailored to their unique personalities - whether that means quiet companionship, playful interaction, or just sticking to their routines. I'm patient and attentive, making sure each cat feels safe and comfortable in their own space. What sets me apart is my ability to read their body language, respect their boundaries and build trust at their pace, so even shy or independent cats feel cared for. I also have two cats of my own, so I understand their quirks and routines! I do work full-time, so I offer pet care part-time during the evening and weekends. This gives me the perfect balance to dedicate focused, quality time to your pets. I make sure each visit, walk or overnight stay fits smoothly into my routine, so your dog or cat gets reliable, consistent care without me being rushed or distracted. ***If you live close by, I can fit in a lunchtime dog walk/feed between 12-1 or 1-2! *** When I care for pets in your home, I treat it with the same respect as my own. I will follow your routines closely to make sure your dog or cat feels safe and comfortable in their familiar environment. Whether its walks, feeding or crate time, I’ll provide reliable, loving care while keeping your home secure.
About: Do you work long shifts and need someone to check on your cat or walk your dog? Are you going away and need someone to visit your pet? Does your cat or dog require medication that you aren't home to give? As an experienced cat and dog owner, I would love to care for your pets while you are working or away. A previous owner of 5 dachshunds (yes 5!), I currently have two senior cats and have used Rover to take care of them when I am away. As a retired health care worker and owner of a cat with complex needs,I am comfortable with giving medications both oral and injectable. I enjoy walking small to medium size dogs, and especially love doggie cuddles! My availability is quite flexible and am open to last minute requests. I am free most weekdays from early morning until 7 pm and occasional weekends. I am happy to do multiple visits and the occasional overnight in my home. I am willing to visit the pets home ensuring they are fed, watered, and have a clean living space. I am happy to take dogs for leisurely walks at their pace and distance. My own yard, should I watch them here is completely fenced in with very few stairs. And of course, lots of cuddles!
“We loved having Agnes watch our cats while we were on vacation. She is trustworthy, responsive, and really pays attention to details. We came back to a clean house and happy kitties. We will definitely hire her again!”

About: No request from you is too big!! My husband and I live in the middle of Welland. I started a not-for-profit dog rescue (Red Dog Rescue) from my home. We have saved 500 dogs off the streets of Texas since January 2020 and re-homed them here in Ontario. I left it late 2021 as the stress was too much but I do still foster the occasional dog! We own 5 rescue dogs total: 1. Bulldog (named KD) 2. Beagle (Lucy) 3. Collie (Kody) 4. Husky (Pretzel) 5. Bulldog (Silver) We go for walks, runs, hiking on trails and trips to the park daily! We do not go to dog parks due to the risk of incidents. We believe a tired dog is a good dog. Frozen peanut butter or treats in Kong's are given MINIMUM daily depending on allergies/sensitivities. Our love for these animals is unending and all dog guests are treated like our own. We live a very active lifestyle but are willing to tone it down to care for sick/old dogs as well. Contagious sicknesses however we cannot accept due to the high amount of dogs we have coming and going. We have a private dog area for dogs that are not socialized/aggressive but can only take 1 at a time. All dogs are “puppies” in our house, no matter how old they are. Corey and Robyn are Paramedics however Robyn now works from home while on mat leave, so someone is usually always home. We both know first aid and CPR for dogs, as well as any wound care and are willing to take the dog to a vet of your choice if needed, but are able to determine if the dog needs to go to the closest facility in case of an emergency. We both have experience with pilling animals and treating wounds, as well as we can do injections, first aid and CPR. Robyn worked at a vet clinic for 6 years with cats and dogs. She opened a grooming clinic in the downstairs of the vet. Her motto is “no dog left behind” and people brought the most aggressive dogs to her to be trained how to behave and relax/enjoy grooming. Dogs that other groomers turned away. She taught horseback riding lessons to kids and grew up owning one hundred free range hens. She grew up with family dogs as well. She has experience with zoo animals and reptiles having completed the Animal Care Program at Sheridan College. She also used to volunteer grooming at the SPCA in Hamilton as well. Corey grew up with dogs in his house his whole life. His favorite breed is Boxer, but he loves all breeds. Corey is very active. He does CrossFit and soccer and loves to run, but he prefers to do so with the company of a pooch, big or small. One day we hope to move to Texas to rescue dogs as there is a bad crisis of overpopulation there. We are also learning Spanish, this way when the funding is there we plan to drive down to Mexico to assist with the overpopulation of dogs and educating people about the importance of spaying/neutering their pets. Corey’s parents own three of the dogs we fostered in the past from Texas. We were both shift workers so we are happy to do crazy drop off/pick up times, being available 24/7 for those on night shifts! Give us a chance and we will do what we can to accommodate your pet! :) Big or small we love them all! #nodogleftbehind #spayandneuter #adoptdontshop Robyn is usually home all day as she works from home stepping out every so often for a quick appointment. Corey is home every evening/night and usually does evening walks/feeding. We have a large 6.5 ft solid wooden fenced in yard with patio stones, straw and wood chips to avoid mud! Concrete around the edges to avoid any escaping. Three of our dogs are well socialized and love to play! The other two we keep separate. We have a "cat room" and when the dogs are outside playing the cats roam the home! We rotate dogs/cats all day long when they stay with us to make sure everyone gets an adequate time to play/nap. Our dogs are crate trained but if your dog is well trained we can let them roam the home at night while ours sleep in the "doggie room".
“Paige was great and followed instructions perfectly. Dogs were looked after and there was no mess in the house to worry about while we were on a short vacation. Thanks for the great photos and open line of communication!”

About: Hi, my name is Tiffany. I love all kinds of animals and have a lot of experience caring for different pets. I currently own 2 little rat babes and am a dog mom to a Great Pyrenees puppy. I am in love with big dogs, the bigger the better! I grew up in a home that has constantly had pets and I couldn't picture my life without a furbaby. My life has revolved around animals and their wellbeing. I have done a co-op course at a Vets office in the past and learned so many new things for the 6 months that I was there, it was an experience like no other. With all my knowledge I am positive your pet will have a blast and make a new friend in me!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Welland
Miryam did an amazing job caring for our two cats during our honeymoon. She was able to befriend our shy boy and is an excellent communicator. We appreciated the updates we received with each visit. Our home was well cared for while we were away. And she was able to give our eldest cat his puffers.

Noor was amazing! Our cats are very shy and usually give us a hard time when meeting new people, so we were nervous about leaving them but Noor was so diligent and loving with them that they warmed up to her quickly. Noor has definitely earned us as loyal customers!

There are 481 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Welland. About 87% of Welland sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Welland stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.
Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Welland choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
