“I highly recommend Sam. She was absolutely fantastic dropping in to take care of my 4 cats, including administering the one cat's daily inhaler for asthma. Sam was very communicative, sent lots of pictures, and thorough in letting me know how everyone was doing. Sam made my babies and myself very comfortable and confident in being very well taken care of. I look forward to having Sam back in future!”

“We hired Lauren to watch our 3 dogs (Ages 15yrs, 9yrs & 4yrs) on our wedding day. Lauren's Veterinary Technician background made her stand out to us in our search for a sitter. At our meet and greet all 3 of our dogs instantly fell in love with her which made us feel at ease. Lauren kept us updated throughout the afternoon and evening with how everyone was doing and even sent us some cute candid photos of them! She even got our picker eater to lick his bowl clean! We were able to enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about our pups thanks to Lauren! We would 100% recommend Lauren to anyone looking for 5 star pet sitting service and will be rebooking with her in the future!! We are SO glad to have found her!! Thanks Lauren!!”

“Luisa has been so great with walking our dog Chloe that we decided to try a drop-in booking. She listened to instructions clearly and Chloe had her dream date with Luisa. She fed her dinner, hung out and watched Bluey and even got a walk out of the deal - dream date. Luisa has been our go-to trusted dog sitter and we will continue to rebook with her.”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds and sizes for over 13 years. I grew up with pets, volunteered walking dogs at the Humane Society, and neighbors, friends, and family have relied on me to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets. With my own dog of 13 years, I’ve experienced the full journey from puppyhood to senior care, giving me the skills to handle all life stages with patience and compassion. I’m a stay-at-home mom/small business owner with a very flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to devote to caring for your pets. Daily walks, playtime, and cuddles can easily fit into my routine. I’m available weekdays and weekends, and I’ll make sure your dog gets the attention and care they deserve while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I have a fenced good sized yard where pups can play and a dog to keep them company. I can also crate your dog if preferred. Since I have a young child, I will take on dogs who are good with kids, making for a loving, social, and family-style environment. Will typically take on dog aged 3 and up with the exception of your dog is very relaxed. Also good with other dogs and respect my older dogs boundaries of being cared for in my home. Within the past year we lost my first baby my black lab, my chocolate lab would love the company here and there of another dog that matches her lazy chill vibe to have around for overnights.
“Nicole is the BEST, I will 100% use her again. Very communicative, she sends lots of photos & videos. She also has the sweetest personality that’s why I picked her! Thank you Nicole :):)”

“Andrea was great with my two cats, Pearl and Maple. She sent daily updates and photos so that I had peace of mind that they were well taken care of. She also helped water my garden while I was gone for a week, which was very much appreciated!”

About: I’ve always treated my pets like my children, they are a member of the family. If you want someone who will not only take care of your doggie, but give them love and attention, I’m your guy. Also dogs are allowed on furniture, my house is their house I currently work part time at home, right now my availability is very open. I also don’t have to work non stop I can take breaks whenever I want, so this allows me to actually be present with any dogs I’m sitting for I have a fenced in yard and a very large house. Just my hallway alone is big enough to play fetch with. I also have a 4 and a half year old daughter who loves dogs and is very good with them. She’s around 50% of the time and will probably spend more time with your dog than she will me:)
About: I've had pets my whole life but it wasn't until I adopted a dog of my own that I truly learned what it means to care for one. I now have experience with reactive and fearful dogs, counter conditioning, desensitization, and canine enrichment. I just received notice of an indefinite layoff so I will have all the time in the world to do something I genuinely enjoy. I feed both my dog and foster dog using enrichment tools(snuffle, puzzle, Kong, find it) trim their nails with a Dremel weekly, give them meds daily. They're always so excited for their daily walks, rain or shine. Though our foster boy needs to be bundled up to handle the cold. I believe following a routine is important. Pets will be fed when they're used to, given meds as prescribed by your vet. Light grooming if requested (I may charge for more challenging grooms. Details can be discussed). If your dog is afraid of nail trims, brushing or anything else, we can work together on cooperative care to make necessary care less stressful for them.

About: I have a lifelong passion for for animals, having grown up in a household with dogs since birth. Throughout my childhood, I also cared for pet rats, guinea pigs, and fish, which provided me with a well-rounded understanding of animal care. As I matured, I took on significant responsibilities, particularly in caring for our family dogs during my parents' vacations and day trips. Currently, I live with my fiancé and we are proud pet parents to two black cats, who we love and care for deeply. My commitment to animal welfare extends beyond my own pets. I have house-sat multiple times for a family in Barrie, where I was entrusted with the care of a large dog and a kitten for extended periods. Each time, I performed my duties excellently, ensuring the pets were happy and well-cared-for, and the house remained in perfect condition. My extensive experience with a variety of pets, combined with my dedication to their well-being, makes me an ideal candidate for dog sitting, cat sitting, and house sitting. I look forward to the opportunity to provide exceptional care for your pets and home. I currently work part-time at the mall in Barrie, which gives me a flexible schedule to take on Rover bookings. I’m looking to fill my week with more pet-sitting opportunities, as it not only helps me maintain a fuller schedule but also allows me to spend time doing something I love—caring for animals. I’m able to accommodate a variety of bookings, whether it’s drop-ins, walks, or extended stays, and I enjoy making pet sitting a regular part of my week. Balancing these two roles helps me stay active, and the flexibility of pet sitting lets me tailor my availability to meet clients’ needs. I provide attentive and personalized care for pets in their own homes, where they’re most comfortable. I don’t accept pets into my home since I have two cats who can be a bit territorial, but that just means I focus on making sure your pets feel safe and happy in their familiar surroundings. I stick to their routine as much as possible—whether it’s feeding schedules, walks, or playtime—so they don’t feel stressed. I also keep your home secure by locking doors, managing lights, and can even grab the mail if needed. If your pet needs any medications, I’m on top of that too, always keeping an eye on their well-being. Plus, I’ll keep you updated with messages and photos, so you know they’re in good hands. My goal is to make sure your pet feels loved, safe, and happy while you’re away!
“I used Rachel for a drop in. This was my first time using a drop in or Rover. I would not hesitate to use Rachel again. I have a Dixie and he can be a bit spoiled but Rachel did an amazing job. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again.”

About: I have cared for dogs of all sizes since early childhood and have always had a strong connection with animals. In my hometown, I volunteered with a non-profit animal rescue organization, where I was responsible for the daily care of up to 30 dogs at a time. My duties included feeding, cleaning, administering basic care, walking dogs, monitoring their behavior, and ensuring they felt safe, comfortable, and loved. As a pet sitter and dog walker, I offer attentive and responsible care tailored to each pet’s needs. Services may include walks, playtime, feeding, fresh water, basic grooming, companionship, and following any specific routines or instructions provided by the owner. I understand that every pet has a unique personality, and I always take the time to build trust and create a calm, positive environment. I am reliable, patient, and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to animal safety and well-being. I am currently available with a flexible schedule, which allows me to dedicate quality time to pets throughout the day. Whether your pet needs exercise, companionship, or gentle care, I am committed to treating them as if they were my own. I work from home running my own business and currently study only two mornings per week, which gives me plenty of time for walks, training, playtime, and cuddles. I have a very flexible schedule and can easily adapt to each dog’s routine and needs. I accept only one client at a time to ensure personalized care and full attention.

Luisa has been so great with walking our dog Chloe that we decided to try a drop-in booking. She listened to instructions clearly and Chloe had her dream date with Luisa. She fed her dinner, hung out and watched Bluey and even got a walk out of the deal - dream date. Luisa has been our go-to trusted dog sitter and we will continue to rebook with her.

I had an amazing experience with Renan! He took great care of my dog and made me feel completely at ease while I was away. It was clear from the start how caring, responsible, and attentive he is. My dog absolutely loved him and came back happy, relaxed, and well cared for. It’s not always easy to find someone you can fully trust with your pet, but I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog walker!

Sam is incredible - she's watched my 4 cats several times now and I hope to keep having her back as my guys absolutely love her. Sam is a warm, caring, genuine person which is evident in her communication and how quickly animals take to her (including my guys who can be a little tentative with others.) Most recently Sam watched my babies for an extended period and I had so much peace of mind being away knowing Sam provides incredible care and is super communicative in both lead up and during visits. Highly highly highly recommend Sam.

Kirsten did a great job! She communicated regularly and helped out with the transition of our family blending and how our cat and dog were handling it all. She was very attentive and gave great feedback for us at the end to help make things even better for our fur babies. I would highly recommend her! Thank you Kirsten for all you did for our fur babies!

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Niagara Falls choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
