“I'm beyond thrilled with Nicole. Before I met her, I sensed she has a deep commitment to caring for animals. The first time I met with her, my thoughts were confirmed. She was (and is) very honest about her lack of experience with cats. However, I had a feeling her desire to care for all animals would win over any lack of experience. And I was right. Nicole has cared for my 10yr old kitty many times. Most of the time, it's been drop ins if I'm going to be away for several hours. But the last stay she did for me was for 10 days. And she performed above & beyond, in my opinion. She sent daily updates and pics. But I really sensed that she cared about the wellbeing of my pet, and she wasn't just there to feed her, etc etc. I could tell she had a nice bond with my kitty, and it was a tremendous relief to know somehow who genuinely cared about my fur-baby was with her quite a lot of the time. Side note, my home was as clean as when I left for my trip. Nicole had washed bedsheets and towels, which I hadn't expected. So one less load of laundry for me to do :) I will use Nicole's services again and again. For kitty owners, don't let her apparent lack of experience with cats deter you from hiring her. She has fantastic instincts when it comes to the care of all animals. She also takes direction really well, asks questions, and communicates as much as you want her to. Thank you Nicole!!”

About: I've had pets my whole life but it wasn't until I adopted a dog of my own that I truly learned what it means to care for one. I now have experience with reactive and fearful dogs, counter conditioning, desensitization, and canine enrichment. I just received notice of an indefinite layoff so I will have all the time in the world to do something I genuinely enjoy. I feed both my dog and foster dog using enrichment tools(snuffle, puzzle, Kong, find it) trim their nails with a Dremel weekly, give them meds daily. They're always so excited for their daily walks, rain or shine. Though our foster boy needs to be bundled up to handle the cold. I believe following a routine is important. Pets will be fed when they're used to, given meds as prescribed by your vet. Light grooming if requested (I may charge for more challenging grooms. Details can be discussed). If your dog is afraid of nail trims, brushing or anything else, we can work together on cooperative care to make necessary care less stressful for them.

Gen and Alex are very loving, caring and intuitive in their approach to meeting the needs of each individual ‘loved one’ entrusted to their care. Gen and Alex have a home that is reflective of their desire to make sure that our pets have everything they could possibly need… toys (squeaky, squishy, large, small, mentally stimulating, etc.,), places to rest and snuggle (comfort/calming pet bed, couch, Gen’s bed for Charlie as he likes the security of being with his ‘loved one’), they have thought of everything! We didn’t know if we could find anyone who would tick every box when it came to leaving our Charlie in their care for a month while we were away, but Gen and Alex made us feel confident in them after Charlie’s first meet and greet!!! Charlie took to them after his second meet and greet (Gen suggested a second one to make sure that Charlie was 100% comfortable with them, which was wonderful). We booked a day camp for Charlie to become better acquainted with Gen and Alex before his long stay and the entire experience was great for Charlie and he settled right in for the day… Gen sent photos and updates to us to help us as we adjusted to leaving Charlie and it really did let us see that he was well taken care of, happy and having a great time. About: I have attended and completed puppy training sessions for all of my 4 pets over the past 35 years. We have loved 2 Springer Spaniels and 2 Labrador Retrievers which are energetic breeds and love the outdoors. Outdoor walks, playtime puzzles and toys to keep doggies engaged and happy is the approach. Most of our family and friends have pets that we have looked after and boarded over the years. Looking forward to getting to know some new furry friends! I'm retired and have great flexibility in my schedule. I also intend to only focus on 1 pet at a time so they will have my full attention. I have a fenced yard and love in a very quiet neighborhood with sidewalks providing safe walking. I'm also close to a sports park that also has a lovely path system and has the opportunity for socialization with other walkers.
