About: I've had pets my whole life but it wasn't until I adopted a dog of my own that I truly learned what it means to care for one. I now have experience with reactive and fearful dogs, counter conditioning, desensitization, and canine enrichment. I just received notice of an indefinite layoff so I will have all the time in the world to do something I genuinely enjoy. I feed both my dog and foster dog using enrichment tools(snuffle, puzzle, Kong, find it) trim their nails with a Dremel weekly, give them meds daily. They're always so excited for their daily walks, rain or shine. Though our foster boy needs to be bundled up to handle the cold. I believe following a routine is important. Pets will be fed when they're used to, given meds as prescribed by your vet. Light grooming if requested (I may charge for more challenging grooms. Details can be discussed). If your dog is afraid of nail trims, brushing or anything else, we can work together on cooperative care to make necessary care less stressful for them.
About: We have been caring for cats since our childhoods. We pride ourself on being able to give them the extra care they need when not feeling well. Besides making sure the kitty litter is changed and your cat(s) have fresh food and water, we are also experienced at administering medication. Jim has even saved cats from fires.

“Charlie has found his home away from home!! We have been extremely fortunate and blessed to have found two remarkable fur baby lovers to take care of our little guy. Gen and Alex are very loving, caring and intuitive in their approach to meeting the needs of each individual ‘loved one’ entrusted to their care. Gen is a gentle, thoughtful soul who has shown us that Charlie’s well being and comfort are as important to her as they are to us. Gen and Alex have a home that is reflective of their desire to make sure that our pets have everything they could possibly need… toys (squeaky, squishy, large, small, mentally stimulating, etc.,), places to rest and snuggle (comfort/calming pet bed, couch, Gen’s bed for Charlie as he likes the security of being with his ‘loved one’), they have thought of everything! We didn’t know if we could find anyone who would tick every box when it came to leaving our Charlie in their care for a month while we were away, but Gen and Alex made us feel confident in them after Charlie’s first meet and greet!!! Charlie took to them after his second meet and greet (Gen suggested a second one to make sure that Charlie was 100% comfortable with them, which was wonderful). We booked a day camp for Charlie to become better acquainted with Gen and Alex before his long stay and the entire experience was great for Charlie and he settled right in for the day… Gen sent photos and updates to us to help us as we adjusted to leaving Charlie and it really did let us see that he was well taken care of, happy and having a great time. Look no further than Gen and Alex, we don’t think there could be any better than these two!! Highly recommend!!!”

About: I had two family dogs growing up for 12 years that we’re calm and easy to take care of, then I got my own dog who was the exact opposite. He had extreme behavioural issues, anxiety, epilepsy, and aggression. Taking care of him really taught me patience, added responsibilities, understanding and a different kind of love and appreciation as a caregiver. I’ve also fostered dogs which has given me experience with different breeds and needs. I now share custody of a 4 year old border collie/golden retriever mix who LOVES other dogs and people. We worked with multiple trainers with him and learned a series of obedience training, off-leash training, and much more knowledge regarding dogs. I work from home and make my own schedule, so I’m available to take care of, play with, and pay attention to your pup always! We have a half fenced yard and a huge park near us to take the pup out easily! We also have a 2.5 storey house with a basement for lots of room to play and wander. I work from home and make my own schedule so I have plenty of time to play with and pay attention to your pup throughout the day! I have a backyard and a front yard for easy bathroom breaks. There’s also a huge park beside my house to run and play at, plus a bunch of trails to go for long walks!

About: I have been an animal lover for my entire life. Growing up, I knew the name of every single dog in my neighbourhood. I have many years of experience with different pets, including puppies, dogs, cats, birds, and even squirrels. I’m the type of person who’s sitting on the floor playing with the dog or cat at a party. I have a deep care for animals and I will always look out for them as if they were my own pets. I will work with puppies on commands such as house-training, sit, stay, tricks, etc. during my visits if that is wanted as well. You can count on me to bring all the fun, love, and care to your pets while you’re away! I have open availability! 7 days a week for drop in visits, walks, doggy daycare, etc. I will always accept your request unless I have already been booked up by another client. I always treat your animals like my own! Love, care, cuddles, compassion, walks, playtime, and trust. I will always be respectful of your home and rules. I will follow any directions you leave for me to keep your pet as safe as possible in my care. Doggy day care will get the same treatment, including a large fenced-in yard to run around and play! Other pets will NOT be in my home during visits, so your pet will receive all the attention! Trails close by to go for long walks! Lots of blankets and toys to keep them comfortable!

About: I’ve always treated my pets like my children, they are a member of the family. If you want someone who will not only take care of your doggie, but give them love and attention, I’m your guy. Also dogs are allowed on furniture, my house is their house I currently work part time at home, right now my availability is very open. I also don’t have to work non stop I can take breaks whenever I want, so this allows me to actually be present with any dogs I’m sitting for I have a fenced in yard and a very large house. Just my hallway alone is big enough to play fetch with. I also have a 4 and a half year old daughter who loves dogs and is very good with them. About: I have fostered many dogs and raised multiple of my own from puppyhood through their senior years. I'm experienced in administering oral medication, even for stubborn dogs, and offer a highly flexible schedule to accommodate changes when needed I work 4 days on, 4 days off schedule, which lows me to dedicate four full days at a time to pet care, including walking, training, boarding, house sitting, and drop ins. During these days off, I am able to offer a high level of flexibility and accommodate schedule adjustments. If services are required in days I am working, I'm always happy to discuss and arrange a care plan that supports both your needs and mine in a comfortable and reliable way. I prioritize creating a safe, calm, and welcoming environment for every pet in my care, whether in my home or a client's home. I foster pets frequently and currently have a foster dog who is very dog social, which helps create a positive and balanced environment for previous clients I have taken care for outside of Rover. I also have two friendly, social cats. If a pet is uncomfortable around cats, they are ways provided with a seperate room filled with toys and enrichment to ensure the client's pet is comfortable and to reduce stress. In the meantime, I ensure dogs Recieved plenty of supervised outdoor time and regular trips to dig parts for safe play, socialization and exercise. About: I am a huge animal lover! I have a lovely black cat that I adopted several years ago. She is the sweetest, a cuddle bug that loves belly rubs and even knows a few tricks! I absolutely love all animals, I'm the type of person to point out every dog I see while on a drive somewhere. I have a full and open schedule currently. Having a cat doesn't require a ton of time but she does love to spend time with me in the garden, she might be a little upset about that.😹 We have a full fenced in yard with gate, my cat is an indoor cat but comes out on supervision. Cats can be very harmful to the local eco-system so we keep a close eye on her! (we also don't want her to get to any plants that could make her sick!)

About: I have taken care of neighbours pets growing up, as well as having dogs and cats in my own home as a child. I currently have a cat and now a puppy! I would love to care for others as my own. I work full time in the social services field during the week, but have evening and weekend availability to watch and/or care for your pets. My yard is fully fenced and have ample room to let your dog run around and have lots of fun. I can crate the animal as needed during sleeping hours.
