About: Hi, I have had pets my whole life and like animals better than most people. While your pet is with me, I will treat them as my own, which means walks, parks, treat and lots of attention. I do have a smaller breed dog, but she loves people and dogs and would love to play. I work Monday to Friday until 3:30 pm and am home evenings and weekends. My dog is with me as much as possible when i am not at work. Your dog would be treated the same! I dont have a fenced yard, but i do have a large backyard with grass that i can take you dog out to with a leash for pee breaks.

About: I am very passionate that all animals get the care and love that they deserve. My boyfriend and I trained our 1 year old Rottweilers, so some experience with training. I will treat your animal like my own. I have full weekend availability, as well as availability throughout my weekdays. I am flexible and will do my best to accommodate your pets schedules as needed. I will walk your dog one-on-one, or with others if requested. I will closely pay attention to your dog and what they may need. I am very attentive to any pets needs.

About: For most of my life I have had a dog or cat to care for and at times more than one! I have a big heart and a love for all kinds of animals! I love interacting with them and learning about their different personalities. My husband and I currently have a 8 year old small dog and a 4 year old cat. We are registered nurses by profession so one of us is usually home and available to look after the animals. We love to live an active life of hiking, biking, walks and pretty much anything outdoors! We have had some great experiences using Rover and we forward to walking and caring for other animals like our own. My husband and I work shift work so we have flexible schedules to meet the needs of any animals. We have a fenced yard and lots of great walking trails near by to explore. I am available for boarding your pets in your home or ours. I am also available for drop in visits and dog walks on a regular basis or for visiting guests. I will treat your animals like my own and make their time with me as comfortable as possible.

About: I have a good amount of training experience with medium to big breeds. I understand stubborn puppies and consistency. Love all breeds big and small. Open schedule currently. Also bonded through work and criminal record checks for volunteer jobs so going into owners houses and sitting short or long term you are covered Care for puppies as they are my kids…as mine is lol. Walks as often as needed…feeding at set times and time spent with them as much as required. Currently open schedule but need to understand training regiment and any restrictions so will need to meet and spend a bit of time with puppy prior to any services

About: I’ve taken care of all breeds of cats, dogs and farm animals. I volunteer for the SPCA and have a biology background. I housesitted for a year following post secondary, owned/managed short term rentals and a B&B. I work from home so can be attentive to your furry friend and property needs. I enjoy being outside in my backyard and often walk the KVR near my house. I have a fenced in backyard and a variety of indoor/outdoor places for your pet to enjoy. About: I have worked with animals my whole life from horse stables to vet clinics to pet stores and there is nothing I love more I have looked after a lot of my friends and family’s pets from housesitting to walking to bathing I know alot about pet nutrition having worked at a pet food store for many years and have done lots of puppy training and senior care including giving medications I have decided to take some time off my 9-5 Job so I have plenty of time to care for your pet and I am available Monday to Sunday I have two friendly mastiffs and two cats I do live out of town so no fenced in yard but all my animals stay within the perimeter of the yard I take my two dogs for walks or a run on the beach which I would do for your pets aswell. I do have a large crate aswell if you are crate training your dog I also have extensive plant knowledge aswell so along with your fur baby’s I can take care of your plants :)

About: I received my second degree for ECE (early childhood education). We cared for children from three years old to three months old so basically there was almost no verbalization with them letting us know what they needed. Just like animals for babies and toddlers are a lot alike in the sense that as their provider, I made sure they were mentally simulated, had a regular feeding routine, noticing when they needed to go to the bathroom but MOST importantly was they felt SAFE, cared for and could TRUST me from the moment they were dropped off until they were picked up and that did take some time, but fortunately for me not a long time. I chose this experience to share because it’s very close to taking care of animals and most of the families I’ve worked with see their animal as just another child only with lots of hair. So just like I would do with all the babies and children I’ve watched in the past I would make sure they were safe and protected , hopefully get them to trust me, and know that I am here for them for whatever they need so they are having such a good time right up until they make it back to their family happy and well cared for. I’m lucky because I have a very open schedule because this is a full-time job for me until I start my practicum sometime after summer. I have everything on a very workable and repetitive schedule where I spend virtually most my day with whoever I’m boarding and whenever they’re taking naps or just hanging out, I can get other things completed. I treat this job the same way I would treat taking care of a child so I’m here with them all day and night and only leave for a half hour at most and that’s if I absolutely have to go somewhere like the grocery store or something. This is a job and so I wouldn’t takeoff for hours in the day when you’re trusting me with your fur baby. Since I’m am able to make my own schedule and hours makes me a perfect candidate to board your animal because of my flexibility and am open to negotiating some of the guidelines and expectations Rover have along with some of the expectations I’ve written out. I’m very approachable so ask anything, for the most part I’ll do my very best to make it work for you. My job first and foremost is to make sure that your animal is taken care of to the best of my capabilities, that they feel safe and cared for and mostly feeling calm and protected while your away. I can promise you your animal will be very happy under my care , well fed according to your feeding schedule. At the end of the day I will follow your rules and guidelines to a T and I’ll always try my best to work with you and give your animal the very best service I’m capable of providing. Saftety and Trust When I first got the job I spent a good month researching everything I would need to know about being the best dog or cat border possible. Still to this day learning new things but for the most part I am constantly taking courses or classes to update my animal knowledge. I try everyday to research whatever animal someone asks me to board to make sure I have some sort of idea of what they like and what they dislike. I have learned the most hands down from each animal I’ve cared for.I hope to be a Rover sitter for as long as I can possibly be even after starting my career. Environment: I have a fenced yard and my front door opens up to a pet friendly animal park. I live in a very clean house and use organic animal, cleaning products to wash everything top to bottom after every animal that has stayed my house, even if it’s just for a few days, I do a full scrub down of my house using the safe and organic animal cleaning supplies that take away any odours or smells of animals who had just been here. I wash all my sheets, and I have a huge closet filled with back up toys, extra animal blankets, leashes, doggy bags, bowls, brushes, a wide variety of treats (from biscuits to healthy organic snacks), shampoo, etc. I also have medical supplies such as wraps or tick combs and removers. I have lots of creams or medicines for rashes however, I would never administer any thing like that myself without consulting the owner. I live a close knit community where everyone knows everyone, it’s extremely safe and the best part is the majority of the neighborhood all have animals and it’s extremely rare to not see someone walking their dog or in some cases walking their cat. This is 100% a pet friendly community and everyone looks out for everyone, pets included. I would also make sure to keep you updated with pictures, videos and send messages throughout the day about how they are doing if you so wish :)

About: I’ve had cats and dogs throughout most of my life and have experience with very young animals. I consider animals to be a part of the family. I’m a stay at home mom and homeschool my 2 boys, who come along with me and love animals very much! I am available most times of the day on most days of the week. I will follow whatever instructions and requirements that you need for the best care of your animal(s) in your home. I will treat your babies as if they are a part of my family.

About: I grew up on a farm and have extensive experience with horses, dogs and cats. I have one cat, Barney, and one horse of my own, Ida. I enjoy walking and spending time with animals in and outside. I will be taking only one fur baby at a time to provide exclusive care unlike a kennel experience! I work full time Monday to Thursday but am in/outside on a farm in the evenings and Friday- Saturday where I spend time with my kitty Barney. I also occasionally look after my sister's dog Cosmo when she lets me! I live remotely and have lots of areas for dog walking just outside my front door. I also have a semi fenced back yard for playtime and bathroom breaks. I can easily create your dog if that's what you're looking for! For kitties I have a friendly cat that loves attention from other fur babies OR can be separated if need be.

About: I have two larger dogs who I take out for daily walks, hikes or to the park. I am happy to take your dog out from your house for a walk or to the park. I am also happy to take your dog in my vehicle for either an on leash or off leash hike. I also have a 5 month old baby who would be joining me. I am currently on maternity leave and I love to be outside going for walks or hikes or just playing with animals to fill my spare time. I am happy to come over to keep the animals company and give them love while you are away. I don't mind changing the litter box giving treats or feeding.

About: I have owned and looked after pets for my entire life. I am also certified with the BC SPCA and have First Aid and CPR for dogs and cats through ProPetHero. There is nothing I like more than getting to know a family pet. I lost my dog a year ago and I truly miss having her around. I consider it a priviledge to look after other people's pets. I am retired and very flexible. Even though I live in Summerland, I have no qualms about traveling a reasonable distance if I would be caring for your pet for an extended period of time. I am used to rising early and taking care of my dog before she died, and then including her in my activities for the rest of the day. I would follow a routine that was set out for me. Other than that, I like to go on walks and get down to the beach in nice weather. I enjoy taking my furry friend in the car and do for hikes or walk along the beach.
