“Melanie did a great job of taking care of our dog while respecting the house at the same time. We had great communication through her entire stay and she sent a bunch of photos. She was patient with our animal and asked questions when instructions or things were not clear. Happy with it all 😊”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of different kinds since I was 7. My family have relied on me to walk and feed their pets. Dogs and Cats need unconditional love and the best care. I have retired recently and love dogs and walking. Dogs love walking and it makes me happy to be part of their fun and excitement I live in the country and walk daily. A lease would be needed on quite roads to walk dogs. I live on 8 acres with bush trails and have a car to drive to customer homes to walk dogs.

About: Ever since I was a young girl animals have always been a passion of mine! I began at Age 10 with dog day-sitting and began to extend my experience into overnight pet sitting, stray animal rescue, trap and neuter, volunteering with local rescues and now work full time with animals. I have previous experience with a range of animals from dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, bearded dragons, hamsters, ferrets and even some wild animals! I have worked with many types of dog breeds ranging from 5lbs-175lbs and have acquired no issues in handling thus far. I also have background with puppies, disabled dogs (deaf/blind, incontinent, difficulty walking etc.) senior dogs, Pet CPR and First Aid (reacquiring certification) as well as pet behaviour (ie. people reactivity, dog reactivity, resource guarding etc.) and have never had issues with any pets in care. I take pride in the care I offer with the knowledge and understanding each dogs personality traits and behaviour characteristics along with breed standard needs. I currently work full time at a local dog/cat boarding & daycare facility Sunday/Monday 7am-3pm & Tuesday-Thursday 12pm-7pm with Friday/Saturday off. When I am not at work you can find me spending time with my cats and educating myself on all things animals! Whether it be feeding, training, behaviour modification or health/medicine related I’m reading it! I always strive to take care of animals when I’m not at work and love to spend any minute with them possible! Every pet in my care is always treated with love and respect! I understand that not all animals want to be touched or pet all the time and respect any pets/animals space when needed. I also always pay attention to movements while playing to ensure no injuries are made. Everything I do with pets are positive to ensure a happy outlook on things moving forward in life!

“Good communication and the cats seemed to love him!”

About: I have grown up with a number of medium breeds and large breed sport and working dogs. I had an abused presa canario and I am not shy with large intact males as I have lots of experience with reassurance and consistency with obedience and dominance as well as recent experience dog sitting and caring for long term two gun dog hound breeds which I love their drive and energy and have the patience and tolerance for some of the attitude and energy levels of those breeds. They made me fall in love with bird and hunting breed dogs even more! I have had a few dogs as puppies so I do have experience with the basic obedience and training skills and also have experience with medications, injections and wound care. Also have skill with nail trimming with some anxiety behaviours depending on the level. Also comfortable with puppies and senior dog care with my nursing background I'm not averse to some messes. I am currently on a leave from nursing and am looking at part time to help with my movement and getting time with great hounds! I am a registered nurse with a goodstanding and I am looking to walk dogs mainly but am also available for drop ins as well. I am very observant, caring and great at documenting anything that may look out of the normal as well as what is going well with your furry friends.

“Jason went above and beyond to take good care of our home and 14 week old English Setter Puppy. Just after committing to a puppy, we had the opportunity to visit France with our daughter, and visit our granddaughter. We really wanted to go, but only if we could find someone super reliable to take great care of a puppy and continue the training we started. Jason came to meet us before we booked him and put our minds at rest. He sent us daily updates during our week in France so we were able to relax and enjoy a wonderful trip. Should you need a pet sitter, and Jason can do it, do not hesitate!”

“We had the pleasure of having Emily dog sit our two pups, our 100lb Doberman and our 5lb Miniature Pinscher and she handled them both with absolute ease! It was our first time using the Rover app, as we’ve always relied on friends and family, but we’re so glad we connected with Emily on the app. Emily was wonderful to work with, professional, reliable, and great with dogs. Our pups were well cared for and we felt completely at ease knowing they were in such good hands. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy and experienced to watch your fur babies, I can’t recommend Emily enough! 🐾”

“I feel very lucky to have found Jenna and would not hesitate to recommend her to others. She is clearly an animal lover and we were able to meet in person twice before her stay which was reassuring for me. My dog is a senior and my cat very timid and she was happy to cater to their specific needs and keep me updated throughout the week we were away. She was very organized and helped me navigate the process with Rover. Thank you Jenna!”

“Meghan was so great with my dog Brooks! She sent me photos and daily updates of their plans, took him for walks and played frisbee with him in the yard. I came home to a tired happy pup! Her communication was quick and professional and I felt confident in trusting her with my pup and in my home for the weekend. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!”

About: I offer house sitting anywhere between Ottawa, Montreal, Pembroke or Kingston as well as West Ottawa drop in services. I have travelled as a pet sitter in Ontario, Alberta, BC and Colorado. I have cared for dogs of all sizes, cats, chickens, crabs, fish, and frogs. House plants are great too I live in Stittsville, West Ottawa. I work 9-5 remotely so I love to travel within Canada. My work is flexible so I am able to walk your dogs around their own schedules I am reliable, confident and precise about pet care. Leave detailed instructions and everything else will be taken care of :) I look forward to falling in love with your fur baby!

“Meghan was absolutely wonderful when she housesat my pets! She went above and beyond, engaging them in a variety of activities that kept them happy and stimulated. She took my dog Sammy to the dog park several times, which he loved, and even made friends with my usually-standoffish outdoor cat, Kiki—a true testament to her kind and calming energy. Her communication was consistent and thoughtful—I always felt in the loop and completely at ease knowing my pets were in her care. Beyond her professionalism, Meghan brings such a kind and caring presence that my pets clearly responded to. I can’t recommend her highly enough—she’s truly a gem!”

“Bailey sent us updates while we were away with pics of our fur babies. She took good care of our babies and our home which gave us piece of mind as we enjoyed our time away. We would definitely use her services again.”

“Becky is always so reliable and keeps us updated with pics and news on the pets/home. We trust her with our home and are super appreciative having her house sit for us”

About: Lifetime dog Mom. We have boarded dogs from 1 night to 20 nights so far. We have had Mini and teacup poodles, Dachshunds, Goldens, Labs, Labradoodles, Bichons, Schnauzers and other mixed breeds. We have great relationships with all of our pet families. We are a family of four, my husband and I have been in Richmond for 27 years in the same home. We live in a bungalow with a fenced yard. Many furry guests have enjoyed lazing in the sun in our front window, on our backyard deck and have enjoyed going for long walks in our dog friendly, and walking through the conservation area alongside the Jock River. We have two grown sons - 21 and 25. We all work full time, and there’s always somebody home. We are all animal lovers. I grew up with a shepherd and a lab. Our family has had the love of Ruby, a beagle and the most fun with Freddie, our beloved Bichon-Poodle. We laid Freddie to rest in Sept 2021. Our home is open to doggie silliness and company. I’ve done pet and house sitting for friends and family for years. Our primary interest is in hosting low or non-shedding dogs. Doodles, poodles, schnauzers, dachshunds, GMD, you get the idea. We love small to medium breeds. But check with me because I do love them all and would be willing to try any breed. I like to arrange a meet and greet and have a trial stay before committing to a long term 1-2 week stay. Our family has taken many roads trips and brought our own dogs with us over many years, now we are avid campers/glampers (travel trailer) and, when our customers approve, we have taken some of our furry guests with us. We understand both your concerns and your needs for a worry free time away. We are ready to care for your pet and give you peace of mind while away. Please note that we may take dogs from 2 families at one time during busy seasons and are well set up to manage this. Our home is a relaxed space and we always make sure the furry guests are kept stress free. I work full-time (mostly remotely) - when I have to be in the office I make arrangements with my sons to help out with dog walking and check-ins. My days ebb and flow. I can take the time necessary to get up early with your dog and get them walked, fed and settled before I start my day. I often have breaks during the day and can take them out a couple of times per day as necessary. We also have a fenced yard and a dog door to our large deck and yard. My pet sitting style is to give dogs lots of play, attention, snuggly places to nap and enough love so they don’t miss you too much while you’re away - hoping you and your pet will be comfortable never stressed. I can care for your furry family members in my home or in yours. I know it helps dogs and cats feel less stressed when they can stay home, follow their routines and be in safe and familiar surroundings.

“Camryn is a lovely person who clearly loves animals. She is an excellent communicator and always responds quickly. We have her booked for another weekend later this month.”
