“My dog stayed with Lynda in November 2024, and I cant’t say enough about how wonderful my dog’s stay was. She is a very nervous dog, but all the pictures and videos Lynda sent would say otherwise. What a relief to know there is a dog friendly home with a huge fenced in yard I can take my dog and not worry. You can tell Lynda loves dogs and is very attentive to their needs. I would not hesitate at all to book again!!”

“I had never boarded our 8 year old chocolate lab before so I was nervous to leave him. Kim made us feel comfortable with plenty of pictures and updates throughout the week. They dogs got along great, enjoyed the whole house and she even let him sleep on the bed. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. She noticed his ears were bothering him and took the time to clean them (which he doesn’t normally let anyone do but me). Thank you Kim! ❤️”

“I have nothing but amazing things to say about Paige! It was our first time leaving Pepe, and she made something that felt really hard for us unbelievably easy. She took such great care of him — from the long trail walks and cuddles to giving him the chance to play with lots of dogs and make new friends. She sent frequent updates and photos, which put us completely at ease. Pepe had an incredible time and came home so happy (and exhausted lol). We couldn’t be more grateful — we’ll definitely be boarding Pepe with Paige again!”

“I honestly don’t even know where to start with how incredible this experience was. I found this dog sitter last minute on Rover, and from the very first message, they went above and beyond in every possible way. I have two very high-energy dogs, and leaving them is never something I take lightly—but she, her husband, and their kids made me feel completely at ease. Not only were they unbelievably accommodating and flexible, but they were also so genuinely kind, warm, and generous. They treated my dogs like part of their family. It wasn’t just “watching” them—they were loved, played with, and cared for in a way that honestly exceeded anything I could have hoped for. Her kids adored my dogs, and it showed in every update and every interaction. What truly stood out was how much they went out of their way to help me. They kept my dogs longer than expected without charging anything extra, just out of kindness. That level of generosity is rare, and it meant so much to me. If you’re looking for someone you can fully trust with your pets—someone who will treat them like their own—I cannot recommend Justin, Kristen and her family enough. I am beyond grateful to have found them. Thank you again for everything—you are truly amazing. ❤️”

“We are thrilled to have a go-to Rover near beautiful Merrickville, where we sometimes spend the weekend. Now, we're able to send our dog to have a blast with Kayla and her dog while we roam the shops, cafes, and restaurants. Kayla was prompt, professional, and friendly in her communication and service, and she took great care of our dog. He was smiling extra big in all of the photos she sent us throughout the day. We will be reaching out to here again in future, and recommend her to others.”

“Kavya took care of Bailey while we were away. Bailey made herself at home and was treated like family! I received news and photos every few days, it was perfect! Thanks!”

“It’s the first time I left my dog for a few days with a dog sitter so I was nervous about it. Jason and Jocelyn were great and took good care of him. Billie had lots of love from them. He had friends to play with and keep him company as well. Thank you 😊”

About: Hi, I’m Shannon. I provide a calm, clean, and structured home environment where your dog will feel safe, relaxed, and genuinely cared for in a countryside environment. As a healthcare professional and experienced dog sport handler, I naturally pay close attention to detail, routines, and subtle changes in behaviour, ensuring your pet’s well-being is always a top priority. I keep my bookings small so each dog receives personalized care, consistent routines, and meaningful one-on-one attention. My home is best suited for dogs who thrive in a quieter environment, including seniors or those who may feel overwhelmed in busy kennel settings. I also have experience accommodating puppies and high-energy dogs in various stages of training. I work from home, which allows me to provide a consistent, supervised routine where your dog receives plenty of structure, attention, and meaningful interaction throughout the day. My child is very dog savvy and trains dogs as junior handler on our flyball club. I attend dog training classes with my own dogs. When appropriate and with your approval, your dog is welcome to join for a safe and enriching outing, including a secured car ride and a supervised “sniff safari” or work recalls at the training facility. During the summer months, I also participate in dog sport tournaments, which may involve travel and on-site camping 4–6 hours away. For clients who are comfortable, dogs are welcome to join these structured adventure experiences. Participation is always optional and discussed in advance to ensure it’s the right fit for your dog. I offer a dedicated dog space equipped with crates, comfortable bedding, fresh water, and access to a secure dog run, along with a large, fully fenced yard for safe outdoor time. We also have the executive suite, which is a play pen for boarding dogs and especially for puppies and seniors. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and those with special needs, including administering medications, supplements, dietary needs kibble and raw feeding, caring for deaf or blind animals. With over 12 years in competitive dog sports, I am also skilled in handling puppies, high-energy dogs, reactivity (such as barking or anxiety), and resource guarding. Please note: while I am experienced with behavioural challenges, I do not accept dogs with a history of aggression or biting. This is to ensure the safety of all dogs in my care, as well as my young child at home. For safety, all boarding dogs must be crate trained and comfortable with overnight crating. This helps maintain a calm and structured environment. During the day, dogs are welcome on furniture and can enjoy a relaxed, home-like setting. You can expect regular updates, photos and videos, a clean and safe space, and the peace of mind that your dog is being cared for like family.
“Ashley was absolutely amazing from meet and greet all the way to pickup! Maple had an amazing time and would definitely recommend to anyone! Ashley sends lots of pictures, videos and updates throughout the stay which was truly a treat!”

“It was my first time leaving Rosie alone over night and I couldn't have chosen a better home than Lindsay's. Rosie was so well taken care of and the pictures and updates I received had her fitting right in with the family. It was such a relief to know that she was so well taken care of, and I will definitely book with her again.”

“Another stellar review for Danielle. Our 2 dogs spent a week with her. They were excited to see her and affectionate with her when we left, it’s easy to see they’ve bonded with her. Danielle is very communicative and shares lots of updates and pictures throughout the stay. We highly recommend!”

“What a lovely family! It truly felt like a 'home away from home' for my dog. Hunter enjoyed his time with Manali and her family so much—it was like a vacation for him, too! Thank you for treating Hunter with such genuine love and care. You will always be my first choice, and I highly recommend your services to any pet owner!”

“We are so fortunate to have matched with Michelle! She not only watches Reese, she is active with him everyday, long walks, teaching him tricks, and giving belly scratches! For this visit, Michelle gave extra attention to Reese giving him medication, observing diet restrictions until Reese was on the mend. Michelle cares for Reese as if he were her own and, because of this, we were able to travel knowing that Reese was going to be well cared for and be nursed back to health. Michelle will always be our first choice!”

“Susana and her family were amazing during Mikey’s stay over the weekend. She kept me updated the whole time on how Mikey was doing and sent lots of great pictures showing how well he was getting along with Milo and the entire family. I’ve already booked Mikey’s next stay for the summer. I’m sure he’ll have an amazing time with them again. Thank you, Susana, for giving me so much peace of mind throughout the weekend.”

“Our dogs loved having her drop in. She was always on time and stayed for the full length of the drop in. Our dogs instantly gravitated to her as she gave them lots of pets and love. We were very comfortable having her drop in while we were away and would hire her again. Definitely recommended.”

“Becky was amazing with the girls. We went out of town for a day trip and she was able to pop into our place twice to let them out, give them some cuddles, treats and dinner. It was a relief to get updates throughout the day after each visit. Also my princess Penny who doesn't usually eat when something is different in her routine ate while she visited...what a releif. Cinder my social butterfly just loved having someone around for a visit and treats. Would definitely recommend Becky and will call on her again when needed in the future.”

About: I've always had a special connection with cats—growing up, I had several of my own, each with their own unique personality. Over the years, I’ve also housesat for friends and family, caring for their pets as if they were my own. I've looked after up to three cats at once, including a senior rescue who needed daily medication. I'm comfortable with a variety of care routines and always make sure each cat feels safe, loved, and well looked after while their humans are away.
About: Hi there! I’m Amanda — a lifelong animal lover and physiotherapist who also completed the Canine Rehabilitation program. I grew up at the stable, surrounded by animals my entire life, so caring for dogs and cats has always come naturally to me. I got my first dog for my ninth birthday and have since cared for pets from puppies to senior dogs well into their golden years. I currently share my home with two wonderful dogs, including one rescue pup I personally rehabilitated through patience, structure, and love. As a physiotherapist and certified canine rehab specialist, I have a strong understanding of mobility, comfort, and safe handling—especially for dogs recovering from injury, dealing with arthritis, or needing a bit of extra care. Whether it’s a playful pup, a gentle senior, or a pet who needs a little confidence and TLC, I treat every animal as if they were my own. You can count on me to provide warm, knowledgeable, and reliable care so you can feel at ease while you’re away. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, which means I’m available for pet care during the day, evenings, and weekends. Since I’m home most of the time, your pets will get plenty of attention, love, and companionship throughout the day — just like they would with family. When caring for others’ pets, I always take the time to listen to their owners and follow each animal’s usual routine. I believe consistency and respect are key to helping pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for — just like they would at home.

“Jenna is awesome! She takes fantastic care of my cats, they love her. She's reliable, a good communicator and I fully trust her to make decisions when I'm not there. Thank you Jenna!”

I love the outdoors and spending time with my 2 dogs, chickens & ducks. I’m an animal lover and have some extra time now and would love to walk/take care of your pets 😊 Please contact me if you’re looking for dog walking or pet sitting. I have 8 years experience walking dogs and pet sitting. I have 2 dogs myself, a boston/boxer mix named Larry & a whippet named Louie. They are very sweet and typically good with other dogs. Louie is not fixed & can sometimes take issue with other male dogs. That’s one of the reasons I wouldn’t offer boarding in my house. I currently have 2 steady clients but am always looking to expand, I keep myself available almost every day of the week so if you are in need of a last minute walk or sit I will most likely be available/ I can be pretty flexible to accommodate. I’m also doing house cleaning & looking to get some new clients there so if you happen to be in need of a cleaner or know someone that is please let me know! I have over 10 years experience cleaning & consider myself a very thorough cleaner. I can clean/pet sit if that interests anyone as well. 😊 I’m currently also working as an instacart shopper & do house cleaning, but do dog walkings midday and can work around my instacart/cleaning schedule to include more dog walkings/visits. I’m not offering boarding for dogs as I think it would be too much, already having 2 dogs myself. I am willing to do at home/overnight visits for anyone who is interested 😊

About: What sets me apart from other cat sitters is the level of care, attention, and dedication I bring to every feline I look after. I have hands-on experience with cats that require specialized care, including my mom’s cat, whom I cared for after eye surgery—administering medications, monitoring recovery, and ensuring a calm environment for healing. I’m meticulous when it comes to hygiene and comfort, and I actually enjoy deep-cleaning cat areas, litter boxes, and accessories to keep everything fresh and safe for the cats in my care. Over a six-month period, I successfully took care of a friend’s six cats, balancing different personalities and needs while maintaining a happy and healthy environment. On top of that, I have two hairless cats of my own, which means I’m well-versed in the extra attention and maintenance they require, such as regular bathing, skincare, and temperature regulation. My experience with both everyday care and special needs makes me a reliable, attentive, and exceptionally thorough cat sitter.

“We were very thankful for Nicole and Eddie’s availability on short notice when we needed to go out of town for the day. Both Teaka and Ciera were so excited when we arrived and they were very happy with their stay. They treated our girls like their own which put our minds at ease. I would totally recommend their services.”

“Super nice with me and my cats. Helpful along the way (they helped me bring them up and down). They sent pictures/video of them to see how they interacted. Very good first experience!”

“Wonderful home to bring your pups to! The warmest couple that treated my dog Sunnie just as if she was their own. She was in great hands!”

About: I am a former dog owner of an 18 year old Cockapoo I lost 1,5 years ago. Prior to this I cared for my 19 year old Spaniel/terrier. In addition, I am listed on Trusted House sitters as a Five star House/pet sitter. My last girl, I took care of her in Pallative state, administering, meds, special allergy bathing , going to the Vet for fluids and other treatments. Carry her down the deck stairs for her potty time when her ability was no longer there to climb up and down stairs etc. I had both of my dogs as a puppy and trained them with some dog trainers and my own training. I still have bedding, dishes, wire and mesh crate, toys! I am retired, I have some spare time depending on some days between appointments and trips into Ottawa. I would be more available during the day and early evenings I have a fenced yard, with plenty of grass down below the deck area. I am close to walking trails and sidewalks outside of my home. I do have a wired and mesh crate. I may administer some oral medication. Walk, feed, give lots of love, hugs and attention to your fur baby!

“Cindy was very sweet and took great care of Monty. I got pictures of his time there and he clearly had lots of fun. I will definitely be coming back. I feel so at ease knowing he played with some friends and came back a happy boy!”

About: I'm 22, I've had animals my entire existence including reptiles. I live on 4 acres of mostly fenced in yard for your babies to run around. I'm flexible on anything you need for your babies. (And I can babysit your reptiles) I currently have no job but I'm looking for a part-time so I can continue to focus on meeting all sorts of new animals that need somewhere to snooze and play. I have a mostly fenced yard, three doggos that are super friendly to everything. I have experience with vet medicine and crate training. I have LOTS of safe dog toys that need to be played with.
“Very happy to leave our puppy, Keg with Alina for doggy daycare. She has been super accommodating and understanding… easy communication and quick turnaround. Highly recommend.”

“Ozzie had a great day with Mirian. Great updates though the day and Mirian’s calm and reassuring approach really helped my pup ( and I) with his first experience with doggy daycare!”

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover living in Stittsville, Ottawa, and dogs have truly been my passion for as long as I can remember. I share my home with my own three well-socialized, crate-trained dogs and work mostly from home, so your pup will have plenty of attention, company, and care throughout the day. I have a large, fully fenced, pie-shaped yard that’s safe, clean, and perfect for playtime. Dogs in my care are treated like family — they’re welcome to sleep freely in my bedroom with my dogs, have cozy pet beds, and follow a calm, loving routine. If your dog prefers or needs a crate, you’re welcome to bring one, and I’m happy to help with crate time when I step out. I know how hard it can be to leave your pet, especially if you feel anxious about their care. My goal is to give you total peace of mind knowing your dog is safe, happy, and genuinely having a great time. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am, and one day it’s my retirement dream. For now, I’m thrilled to offer a loving home-away-from-home for your pup. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your dog like their own, feel free to reach out — I’d love to chat! I work 90% from home. I just go in and out for meetings and certain scheduling, but I’m rarely out of the house for longer than a few hours. Basically, aside from my job, which I mostly do remote dogs are my first priority and get the current attention. They need hourly if not minute by minute. I treat others dogs like I treat my own with love, warmth, and caring. I exercise the dogs daily and give them what they need to make sure that they’re tired out and before I ever leave the house for an hour or two if I need to, I make sure that they are let outside and that they’ve done their business so they don’t have to wait for me to get back.
“Rodrigo was an amazing dog sitter! I’m very happy with the care he provided for Milo. When I picked him up, Milo was calm, relaxed, and clearly well taken care of, which says a lot. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!”

“Michelle is fantastic. She took such great care of Ody. He loved his walks, he got brushed, he played and received all the lovings a floofy cloud could want. An easy recommendation. Michelle never disappoints. :)”

“Jennifer was kind and warm at the meet & greet and, fortunately for me, was available to provide daycare on fairly short notice for my recently adopted older dog. I felt confident that Misty was in safe and caring hands. She came home tired and happy after a full day of fun and attention.”

About: I’ve been showing dogs since the age of six, which has taught me how to handle different breeds of all ages and sizes. Outside the show ring I take on grooming; ex. trimming coats, nails and cleaning ears. I’m a lover of all dog breeds and would love to take care of your pup, whether it be through walking them or checking in while you’re away. I am a University student home for the summer. Although I work from 12:30-6pm Tuesday-Friday and 10-3pm Saturdays, I’m happy to care for your pet the rest of the day. Walks help get myself and your dog active while drop-ins help to relax and unwind from daily stress. Puppies; I have taken care of many puppies who have gone through all stages, and am well aware of the importance of the person and environment they are raised around. Due to this, I will gladly offer light training on the side (ie. preventing biting and jumping up) without additional fees but I understand if this is not necessary. Majority of visits will focus on play and working your pup’s mind to prevent under stimulation. Middle age; Visits will focus around both play and rest, the ratio varying on the breed. I will gladly play with any dog as well as ensuring they are calmed down before I leave to prevent frustration. Seniors; As someone with an old girl myself, I greatly understand the struggles of administering medications and the work that goes in to owning a veteran. I understand a plethora of massage techniques and will gladly help relieve any muscle pain your dog my experience without additional fees. In terms pf activity level, I will adjust depending on the dog, although with older ones I will be consistently watching to ensure they don’t stress their joints.

“Stephanie was so kind to help us out last minute in a pinch. We have two border collies with high energy and crazy personalities and Stephanie put my mind at ease knowing she had 5 dogs of her own at home and knew how to handle strong dogs. Will definitely ask her to walk my dogs again and again!”

About: I've had dogs for the last 20 years, usually with four in the house at a time. We've had a Shih-tzu, three Jack-Shih-tzus, a Great Pyrenees, and now a solo Maltie-Poo named Dozer. Every dog I meet is a new friend, and I have to admit that I knew the names of all the dogs in my last neighborhood, and like maybe three of the owners names. Happy to walk active dogs that need long walks. Other animals: I've also taken care of farm animals. Dairy cows and calves, and feeding chickens and putting them in for the night. I've kept both freshwater and marine tanks and can check up on your fish or your reef while you're away. No worrying about your niece or nephew dumping a whole container of bug bites into the tank while you're gone and causing an ammonia spike. I have a flexible schedule and am in between writing contracts at the moment so have lots of time available for scheduling check-ins and walks for local puppers. I can check-on and feed pets as needed, dispense necessary meds, walk them from your home, or load them in the car and take them to the Cataraqui Trail for longer walks / more active dogs.
“Emalee was very punctual and checked in with me when needed. Emmie took to her right away. We weren’t able to get the walks we had requested due to an injury compounded by Emmies poor leash manners but Emalee maintained her commitment and provided care for Emmie despite that. She provided great care and communication. I recommend her and would use her services again.?”

I have a shared courtyard with grassy areas that I take dogs out to on a leash. There is also the brock trail close by to walk for a quiet trip, or walking downtown for those more adventures pups. I have a private room that they can be secluded in if needed, but for the most part they can have the run of the apartment with supervision.
“Our dogs absolutely loved Sarah! On top of that, she was fantastic at communicating with us while we were away so I felt super confident that they were having fun on their walks. Will definitely reach out to her again the next time I need a dog walker.”

About: What sets me apart as an animal sitter is a lifetime of experience and a genuine passion for caring for animals of all kinds. I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember and have had the privilege of caring for them at every stage of life, from tiny babies to elderly companions. My experience includes everything from daily dog walking to specialized care for pets recovering from surgery or living with health conditions. I’m comfortable providing attentive support to senior animals, handling medication routines, and making sure each pet feels safe and cared for. Whether it’s active playtime, quiet companionship, or following detailed care instructions, I approach each pet with patience and understanding. Pet sitting for me is more than just a service—it’s an extension of my lifelong passion for animal care. I treat every animal as if they were my own, ensuring they feel loved, secure, and well looked after while their families are away. I am currently balancing a part-time schedule which gives me plenty of flexibility to dedicate time to your pets. My routine allows for consistent check-ins and playtime sessions throughout the week. I am particularly available for boarding on weekends and can accommodate weekday requests after 2pm to ensure your animals get the attention they deserve. I provide a calm and attentive environment for all my visitors. I currently have two cats of my own so I am very comfortable managing feline dynamics and specialized care needs. Whether I am at your home or mine I prioritize a secure setting. I am experienced with maintaining feeding schedules and ensuring a high standard of cleanliness for all pets in my care.

“Our dog was very comfortable and happy during his stay. Emma took great care of him and made sure all his needs were met. We’re so glad to have found a place where he feels safe and well cared for. Highly recommend!”

“The absolute best place and people. They go out of their way and over the top to take care of my puppy and as well extremely accommodating all the time and kind.”
