About: I've had dogs for the last 20 years, usually with four in the house at a time. We've had a Shih-tzu, three Jack-Shih-tzus, a Great Pyrenees, and now a solo Maltie-Poo named Dozer. Every dog I meet is a new friend, and I have to admit that I knew the names of all the dogs in my last neighborhood, and like maybe three of the owners names. Happy to walk active dogs that need long walks. For doggy day care and boarding we have to restrict it to small dogs because our own small dog is picky about which larger dogs he likes. Other animals: I've also taken care of farm animals. Dairy cows and calves, and feeding chickens and putting them in for the night. I've kept both freshwater and marine tanks and can check up on your fish or your reef while you're away. No worrying about your niece or nephew dumping a whole container of bug bites into the tank while you're gone and causing an ammonia spike. I've also kept constrictors and colubrids (but not currently), crested geckos, and dart frogs, and am familiar with the husbandry of each. I have a flexible schedule and am in between writing contracts at the moment so have lots of time available for scheduling check-ins and walks for local puppers. I can check-on and feed pets as needed, dispense necessary meds, walk them from your home, or load them in the car and take them to the Cataraqui Trail for longer walks / more active dogs.

“I can’t recommend Lei enough! We started with a meet and greet near her place at the park. She was calm and super friendly. She asked all the right questions regarding my pup - what he likes, doesn’t like, his schedules, routines etc - all questions that indicate that she has his best interest at heart. Throughout my pup’s stay, she sent an abundance of updates with pictures. Ollie seemed super comfortable and well taken care of. So much so that I can tell he misses her now that he’s home with us! I will be picking Lei every single time from this point forward.”

“We found Jacqueline and Jamie through a recommendation from a family member for our two dogs when our other care provider was no longer available. I must say that they FAR exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived at their home with our dogs for a "quick tour", they immediately eased any concerns any pet owner would have by establishing a rapport with us as well as demonstrating effectively how well they can read and understand pet behaviour. They showed us their walking route, their routines, and inside their beautiful home where our pets would live while we were away. Drop off on our day of departure could not have gone better! They were ready for us and had already planned and prepared for our pups' arrival. We left with lots of confidence that the dogs would be well taken care of so we could focus on reaching our first destination. While away, they sent us typed updates, photos, and videos of their day and how they were adapting to routines and any other lucky pets in their care which our kids also greatly appreciated. Jacqueline and Jamie strive to welcome all pets into their family routines while attending to as many of their individual needs as possible. They were also very open and responsive to any questions or suggestions we had while we were away. Once we returned, everything was clean, organized and ready for pick up with a friendly recap chat about their stay as well as feedback on our pets quirks and experiences. Our only concern was that our pets would not want to return home to their usual routines! About: I'm 22, I've had animals my entire existence including reptiles. I live on 4 acres of mostly fenced in yard for your babies to run around. I'm flexible on anything you need for your babies. I am very protective of animals, so your dog would always be safe and carefully supervised with me, especially in open or public spaces. I believe in building trust and discipline through patience, consistency, and positive interaction rather than using force. In general, I connect well with animals and enjoy giving them a sense of safety, comfort, and confidence so they can feel protected and truly enjoy their time with me.
About: We're in the process of opening a kennel on our 27 acre homestead, until then, we're here on Rover! Let us give your pets an enriching experience while you're away, and you peace of mind that they are in not one but two sets of good hands. Our dog Styx loves all pets, big and small, but we also have experience and infrastructure for some personal space if your pet takes a little longer to warm up or has special needs. We are currently building a kennel on our wooded retreat, and in the meantime, our home is open! We are home full-time and spend our days outside tending to the property, bringing your pets along, with lots of water and indoor breaks. We have a fenced yard and the house is able to be segmented off depending on the needs (puppy pen, cat area with dogs, cat area dog free, day crated, whatever your comfort is.

Should the family request for updates, I will send them pictures or text messages pertaining to the behaviour as well as ask any questions I have before I begin pet sitting along with in the process.

“We found Jacqueline and Jamie through a recommendation from a family member for our two dogs when our other care provider was no longer available. I must say that they FAR exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived at their home with our dogs for a "quick tour", they immediately eased any concerns any pet owner would have by establishing a rapport with us as well as demonstrating effectively how well they can read and understand pet behaviour. They showed us their walking route, their routines, and inside their beautiful home where our pets would live while we were away. Drop off on our day of departure could not have gone better! They were ready for us and had already planned and prepared for our pups' arrival. We left with lots of confidence that the dogs would be well taken care of so we could focus on reaching our first destination. While away, they sent us typed updates, photos, and videos of their day and how they were adapting to routines and any other lucky pets in their care which our kids also greatly appreciated. Jacqueline and Jamie strive to welcome all pets into their family routines while attending to as many of their individual needs as possible. They were also very open and responsive to any questions or suggestions we had while we were away. Once we returned, everything was clean, organized and ready for pick up with a friendly recap chat about their stay as well as feedback on our pets quirks and experiences. Our only concern was that our pets would not want to return home to their usual routines! It was truly an amazing vacation for both our dogs and will absolutely send them to Jacqueline and Jamie again.”

Nilgun made logistics a breeze by organizing the initial drop-off at the beginning and then was readily available for the pick-up at the end of the sit. She was also available at any time if I had a question, and her communication was flawless, providing the most wonderful, consistent updates and photos throughout the stay. At just a year old, this was only Sabrina’s second time away from home, so I was naturally a bit anxious, but Nilgun fully understood Sabrina’s personality and quirks right away. It is so clear that we share the exact same philosophy when it comes to dog-rearing and creating a calm, loving atmosphere. Her own three dogs were absolutely exceptional—so well-mannered and beautifully behaved, which made for such a positive environment. Sabrina felt so safe that she was completely comfortable eating, finished every single one of her full meals and got the perfect amount of exercise. Nilgun even took the time to brush her, which was such a lovely touch. Seeing the photos of Sabrina relaxing on Nilgun’s bed on the very first night— the comfortable way she looked at her—proved how safe and content she felt and gave me instant peace of mind.
