Ronda passed right out on the car ride home because she had so much fun running around with them at the park and just playing all weekend! About: With over 30 years of experience around animals, we’ve frequently been the trusted choice for friends and family when they needed someone reliable to care for their pets. As empty nesters, we are now proud pet parents to two Pomskies, Raven (5) and Remington (6), who have been part of our family for the past six years. We understand firsthand how important it is to feel confident and at ease while you’re away from your pets. That’s why we provide attentive, loving care and treat every dog as if they were our own—ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. As the owner of a home-based business, I have the flexibility to provide regular bathroom breaks, playtime, walks, and plenty of attention throughout the day. My husband and I are empty nesters who genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and have the time and dedication to care for your furry family members as if they were our own. We understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. We have a fully fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore, as well as two friendly, well-socialized dogs who love making new friends. Crated dogs are welcome, as our own dogs are kennel-trained and comfortable with crate routines. Your pet’s safety is our top priority. Our home is equipped with security cameras and a monitored security system for added peace of mind. We also believe daily exercise is important, so our dogs are walked every day—rain, shine, snow, or cold Saskatchewan weather!
“Maria took such wonderful care of Maisy. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and treated Maisy like her own pup. Maisy came home happy, relaxed, and clearly very comfortable with her. Maria also communicated well throughout the stay, which gave us great peace of mind. We truly appreciate her flexibility and the care she provided. Highly recommend Maria to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter!”

“Richa and Abhishek were absolutely fantastic! Right away our Bianca felt so comfortable with them. They understood her needs as a senior dog with separation anxiety and made sure she felt loved and secure the entire time we were away. With frequent updates and pictures we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our fur-baby was well taken care of. We highly recommend these sitters and will definitely be return clients. - Anita & AJ”

About: I love all dogs. Growing up I would babysit dogs in our town. I now have the cutest 3 year old golden retriever of my own. I understand that each dog has its own personality just like each human. Clear communication is important to me so I can understand both yours and your dog’s needs so that they can feel comfortable and safe when they’re in my care. Fun fact: My dog and I have the same name and we both have that “golden” energy. ✨ During the summer my availability is for the most part completely open. During September- June my availability is mostly nights with holiday and weekend availability. I have a large fenced in back yard with lots of green space to run around in. I have one female 3 year old golden retriever that loves to play with other dogs. Your dog will also have access to an abundance of toys and lots of attention from myself.
“Nav took great care of our seniors dogs while we were away! She is very intuitive and keeps you updated on how your furry friends are doing! I would definitely recommend her to anyone! Thank you Nav!!”

About: Your Pup’s Home Away From Home! 🐾 We are a family of three and we treat every guest like one of our own, ensuring they feel safe, loved, and fully pampered. What We Offer: Active Lifestyle: We love long walks and have a fully fenced yard perfect for zoomies and sunbathing. Crate-Friendly Home: We are experienced with kennel training and prefer dogs who are comfortable in their "den." Cozy Environment: Whether it's playtime in the yard or cuddles on the couch, your dog will be part of our daily rhythm. Our Schedule: We are home most of the time, though from Tuesday to Thursday, we work from 8 till 3 but between the two of us the pup will be able to have a pee break during the day. For this reason, we are a great fit for dogs who can relax comfortably in their kennel for a few hours at a time. We can’t wait to meet your pup and provide them with a fun, secure, and loving environment while you’re away! We are home most of the time, though from Tuesday to Thursday, we work during the day. For this reason, we are a great fit for dogs who can relax comfortably in their kennel for a few hours at a time. Our Care Philosophy: Family First 🐾 Coming from a home that loved a Shih Tzu for many years, we know that every dog has a unique personality and specific needs. We don't just "watch" your dog; we welcome them into our daily lives as a temporary family member. Safety & Security Fully Fenced Yard: Your pup can enjoy the fresh air safely. We always supervise yard time to ensure everyone is playing nice and staying secure. Kennel Comfort: We are big believers in the "den" environment. If your dog is kennel trained, we maintain that routine to reduce anxiety and give them a safe space to rest while we are out or during bedtime. Leashed Adventures: Our morning and evening walks are always on-leash, exploring the neighborhood at a pace that suits your dog’s energy level. Personalized Attention Companionship: Since someone is usually home throughout the day, your dog won't be lonely. Whether we’re working nearby or relaxing in the living room, they’ll have human company. Consistency is Key: We stick to your feeding and medication schedule exactly as you do at home to keep their tummy and health on track. Fresh Water & Treats: We keep the bowls full of fresh water and (with your permission!) provide healthy treats for being "good boys and girls." Communication with You We know how hard it is to be away from your fur baby. We make sure to send: Daily Photo Updates: Action shots from our long walks or cute photos of them lounging in the yard. Quick Check-ins: A quick text to let you know they’ve eaten and are settling in well. Peace of Mind: You can enjoy your trip knowing we are treating your pup exactly how we’d want our own to be treated.
“Mikela was responsive, communicated clearly and took very good care of my dog. She went out of her way to buy chicken-free treats to accommodate his allergy. She also clipped his nails (after checking with me) while he stayed with her. She sent updates and photos to reassure me that my dog was safe and happy throughout his stay. I would leave my dog with her again.”

“Jenny was so great with Luca! Incredibly patient, kind, and truly cares for your dog. Sent me lots of videos and updates throughout the stay which made me feel at ease! She’s someone you can easily trust and I would definitely book with her again”

About: With over 15 years of animal care experience, I’ve had the privilege of caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, ages, and personalities. Growing up surrounded by animals—both large and small—gave me a lifelong passion for their care and well-being. I spent 2 years working as a kennel attendant before moving into a veterinary clinic, where I worked for 6 years. During my time in the clinic, I gained hands-on experience with dogs and cats of all breeds, ages, and medical needs, including administering medications, caring for senior pets, assisting with recovery, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom, I truly miss my furry clients and the joy they brought to my days. I’d love the opportunity to care for your pet as if they were one of my own. Whether they need an energetic walking buddy, a calm companion, or lots of love and attention while you’re away, you can trust they’ll be in caring, experienced hands. Also actively passing down my love for animals to my children. I am a stay at home mom of 3 kids with plenty of free time - open & flexible schedule able to cater to specific needs 2 meals a day, experienced with medication - my beloved fur baby of 14 years passed in January 2026 from congestive heart failure so I know how important it is to maintain a schedule & make sure they get the things they need. I have a 1.5 year old neutered lab named Bodie - extremely friendly & loves everyone & everything

We left our dog Kaayko with Jaime for a month, and she did an amazing job! Kaayko had endless yard playtime, lots of great walks, and came home super happy and fluffy. It gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. Highly recommend Jaime to anyone needing great pup care—thank you so much, Jaime! 🐾

I was nervous for my puppy Sammy’s first stay with a pet sitter, but we had a great experience with Patrisha! She was very communicative and sent lots of updates and photos over the weekend. Sounds like she worked hard to get his energy out, which can be tough to do with an Aussie puppy!

Cassandra has been wonderful!!! Our dog has been well cared for and well loved during her stays with Cassandra. Cassandra is great to communicate with and attentive and insightful (for example, noticing our pup was licking her paws more one day). I couldn’t be happier!

Rachel took great care of my dogs, Paimon and Levi, and they had a calm and comfortable weekend with her. I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing my babies were in good hands. Her dog, Sadi, was also wonderful and helped my dogs feel more at ease. Rachel kept me updated every day and sent me photos, which I really appreciated. She will definitely be my first choice for my next trip!
Morgan was amazing! My dog is quite anxious and quirky and she was welcoming, kind and unfazed. It took my dog a while but he got comfortable with her, which eased my worries. She communicated promptly and regularly. Also, her pets at home are very friendly and calm, just like her!

Kaitlyn was easy to communicate with and was able and willing to accommodate a last minute request! She asked good questions, was knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable having her watch our pup! She sent updates and photos throughout the day - which I appreciated. Rosin and Kona had a great time together and I'd definitely book again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
