“Unfortunately, my flight home was cancelled and I had to extend my kitty’s stay unexpectedly. Yiwen and Gaoyuan were quick to accept and were very supportive as I navigated my journey home. I knew Wesley was in good hands and I cannot thank them enough for going out of their way to accommodate for me. Thanks as always :)”

“Nicole took wonderful care of Maisy during an overnight stay. She was great at communicating and provided updates. I could tell Maisy was well cared for and relaxed when I got back.”

“Roberta is very experienced in taking very good care of my 15 month cockapoo Kody. Kody enjoyed his stay with her family and returned home happy and relaxed. I highly recommend her services to other pet owners without any reservation.”

“Lei was great with Chloe! Sent me regular updates. I was very happy with her stay. I’ve never seen Chloe so comfortable with a sitter when picking her up. I would definitely use his service again.”

“Annissa and her family were great with our puppy, Rosie. Annissa loves dogs, and you can definitely tell. Her dogs are incredibly well-behaved and obedient. She included Rosie in their day-to-day activities, taking her to work with her for the day, hanging out with the family, and attending a few ball games. I'd definitely recommend her!”

“Offered to take my big baby of a dog for boarding even though she is technically over her normal boarding size limits. Glad to hear that my dog was not only good with her separation anxiety but also a very happy girl with Kaitlin. Would rebook when needed for sure!”

“Veronica was very welcoming to us and provided a great home for our fur baby. She sent us constant updates and pictures of our fur baby and even if he has anxiety being away from us she made sure to make him feel at home. Thanks so much Veronica! I would definitely book Chino with you when we have a chance to come back to Saskatoon.”

“Haley was excellent! She updated us with pictures and texts everyday to let us know how our dog was doing and settling in. We felt very happy to have her in such a nice and caring home as our dog is older and has a harder time adjusting to being away from home. She did great at Haley’s place.”

About: I’ve had a dog in my home practically my entire life. I have one puppy who loves everyone big or small! He is a Great Dane mix who loves to play but knows when someone else might not want to. He loves high energy as he is a puppy but can also understand boundaries with older or smaller pups. I currently am a casual youth care worker for at risk youth. My schedule is extremely flexible and I have TONS of time to train and play with your puppy I have attended many reactive dog training classes, puppy classes as well as other behaviour classes. I never use force when disciplining. I believe in redirecting and learning how to focus and regulate themselves. Poh and I love to go for walks twice a day down by the river. We take nap breaks in the day but still get lots of play time and some training in! We don’t have a yard but we still go on many adventures outside and we have a dog run for poop breaks.
“Cash had a great time with Nataliia and her dog Max!! He played lots and went for walks! She sent updates and pictures throughout his time there! I would recommend Nataliia!! ☺️”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Saskatoon
Cassandra has taken care of my dog, Melon, on a few occasions, and recently boarded for the night. Melon can be a bit shy, but when I showed up the other day, and Melon was excited to see Cassandra and her partner, I was assured she’d be fine spending the night. Cassandra has been thoughtful and nurturing, making Melon feel comfortable. She has a calm, grounding energy that makes her excellent with animals.

Rachel took great care of my dogs, Paimon and Levi, and they had a calm and comfortable weekend with her. I was able to fully enjoy my trip knowing my babies were in good hands. Her dog, Sadi, was also wonderful and helped my dogs feel more at ease. Rachel kept me updated every day and sent me photos, which I really appreciated. She will definitely be my first choice for my next trip!
Morgan was amazing! My dog is quite anxious and quirky and she was welcoming, kind and unfazed. It took my dog a while but he got comfortable with her, which eased my worries. She communicated promptly and regularly. Also, her pets at home are very friendly and calm, just like her!

Mikela was responsive, communicated clearly and took very good care of my dog. She went out of her way to buy chicken-free treats to accommodate his allergy. She also clipped his nails (after checking with me) while he stayed with her. She sent updates and photos to reassure me that my dog was safe and happy throughout his stay. I would leave my dog with her again.

Kaitlyn was easy to communicate with and was able and willing to accommodate a last minute request! She asked good questions, was knowledgeable and I felt very comfortable having her watch our pup! She sent updates and photos throughout the day - which I appreciated. Rosin and Kona had a great time together and I'd definitely book again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
