“Tara has been wonderful with my dog, Tofu. She took the time to build a bond with Tofu, which is so essential for Tofu to listen and be integrated with Tara's own dogs. She has been flexible and reliable, and I know that after only one week, Tofu waits in anticipation for her outings with Tara and always comes back more settled. Personally, I also find Tara an interesting person and she is ready to chat with and instilled confidence about her ability to handle and care for Tofu and other dogs in general. I would certainly recommend Tara very highly and will continue to request her services myself.”

“Bella had another great day playing with her puppy pals Willow and Odin! They are so good with her. Bella is learning lots when she's at Mitchell's playing with Odin and Willow. Thank you!”

“I have been using Alex and Hailie for years! They are my go to sitters. My dog Atlas just loves going to their place, and they treat him as their own! Atlas is there multiple times a week sometimes and they have been extremely flexible with my working schedule and are very quick to respond. I never hesitate to send Atlas there! Thanks Alex and Hailie for being a second family to Atlas!”

“We are so grateful for the amazing and attentive care given to our puppy Benji by Patrisha! She was communicative and sent pictures and updates frequently during his first ever pet sitting experience! Benji was nervous at first but warmed up to her and her family by the end of the stay. We would definitely book with her again! Thanks again Patrisha!!”

I'm at home full-time giving me lots of time to care for your dog! I'll make sure your dog gets lots of snuggles, playtime, walks and time outside in our backyard. We have a fenced backyard. About: Experienced Pet Sitter with a Passion for Animals Hi! I’m a lifelong pet lover with a rich history of caring for various animals. Growing up with a cat, budgie, hamster, two bunnies (and their babies), and two standard poodles, I’ve always been surrounded by furry and feathered friends. Inspired by my parents’ successful in-home pet sitting service, I decided to follow in their footsteps. My journey includes being a guardian home for a doodle breeder in Ontario, where I gained valuable experience and confidence in dog care. Currently, we have a 3-year-old standard poodle who is energetic, friendly, and eager to make new friends. Our home is busy and loving, ready to welcome your pet and make them feel safe and comfortable. What I Offer: • Two leashed walks per day • Lots of love and snuggles • Quiet space for pets needing downtime (I work from home in a basement office) • Fenced yard for fresh air and playtime • Crates available if desired While my primary experience is with poodles and doodles, I’m open to all breeds, provided they’re good with other dogs, kids, and our caged gecko. We will treat your pet as our own, ensuring they receive plenty of love and attention. Looking forward to connecting and providing a safe, comfortable option for your pet so you can travel worry-free. Dog care fits seamlessly into my schedule as a stay-at-home parent. With an SUV perfect for pet transport, I’m always ready for leashed walks and trips to the dog park. I’m home all day with my two girls for summer break, ensuring that your pet will have constant companionship, attention, and care. Your pet will enjoy a structured day filled with playtime, exercise, and plenty of love in our busy and welcoming home. I have a fenced yard for lots of outdoor time. Dogs are allowed on the couch and in bed, plus we have crates if that’s their preference. I always make sure the water bowl is full and will adhere to your feeding schedule. My kids are goofy and will keep your pet active with lots of laughter and silliness.
About: I have taken care of dogs on and off for 3 years. I have cared for my own dog, watched over my sisters two dogs while one was a puppy, and was hired to dog-sit at another house for two dogs, including a puppy. I have experience with small and large dogs, training puppies, walking multiple dogs, and giving medication orally. I currently work part-time outside the home for about four hours at a time, and am home for most of the time beyond that. I am able to take the dogs out to pee throughout the day, as well as take them on walks if needed. I have leashes that I use to take the dogs out to pee to ensure their safety in our unfenced yard. I also have a dog that is always at home to keep your fur baby company! Depending on the owners wishes, I have chew sticks that the dogs can have to keep occupied throughout the day.
About: I’ve always been an animal lover. We always had cats growing up. And I got my first dog 11yrs ago. He’s a Dachshund, Chihuahua and Jack Russel terrier mix. I’ve dog sat for various friends and family members as well. I have experience with medications for dogs as I have taken care of my sisters elderly dogs. I currently work as a casual Continuing Care Assistant within the Saskatoon Health Region. So I have lots of time on my hands for pet care. My schedule varies week to week but I am usually available for short notice. I have a large fenced yard. Live In a house. Non smoking home. I have one small dog. Will provide daily exercise as often as needed
“She was fabulous looking after Bailey for the day! It was short notice and she was very accommodating and flexible with the time since I didn’t know exactly when I’d be able to drop him off or pick him up. Bailey was actually whining for five blocks before getting to her house yet he’s never met her before. So I knew he would enjoy his stay. She let me know very soon after that he was calm and no longer pacing and anxious. Which was so great to hear considering the day I had to do. When I picked him up he was really calm in the car. Which was amazing because he usually is a very anxious car rider . I really appreciated this dog sitter and I will definitely use her again if the timing is right. Thank you so much for taking care of Bailey!”

“Morgan was great with Maisy! She kept me updated throughout the day and took really good care of her. I appreciated the notes about her eating and even cleaning her up after getting muddy. Maisy came home happy and tired, which is always a good sign 😊 Would definitely book with her again”

“Shreya is amazing his family are very accommodating and he’s very understanding, I appreciate the constant updates and know that my dog is well taken care of. My dog comes home and sleeps all night because he is played out shreya is able to maintain many dogs at once and handles any difficulties situation I know my dog is safe thank you so much for the care you provide my dog”

“Jenny is such an amazing sitter. She has been watching my very anxious golden retriever Charlie a few times now and I can see how my dog is getting more comfortable and more excited to go back to her. I feel very comfortable leaving my pup at her place as I know he is loved and well taken care of. She sends lots of videos and updates and makes sure you’re always updated about your fur baby 😌😍”

“Right from the first inquiry Wendy was very responsive and genuine. Upon meeting her I knew my dog was in good care. She’s calm and relaxed which is the perfect environment for our Oliver. We really appreciated the photo updates and the flexibility with pick up times. She’s just a lovely, generous human you know you can trust.”

“Maria has been fantastic to communicate and make arrangements with! We had a meet and greet at her house before eventually booking my dog in for day care. She was flexible with my pick up time which was super helpful and took the pressure off while I was out with friends. She also arranged to have another dog that day so my dog could have a play day. He was very happy and sleepy when I picked him up 🙂 I will book with Maria again!”

My puppy came back so so happy. I had booked last minute and Cassandra was nothing but understanding and patient about time conflicts. She responded very quickly to any messages I sent throughout the day and had ZERO issues asking for pictures or updates. How my dog came back relaxed and ready for bed and cuddles. It was so nice to come back to. AMAZINGGGG

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Saskatoon commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SK ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
