About: I've raised and cared for pets my entire life. Whether it's my best friend's diabetic, blind pug or a rambunctious and energy filled bully. I was fortunate to take formal training with my own dog in Calgary, with a company based in dog psychology and pack mentality. It opened up an incredible world and has given me the confidence to have deep and meaningful connections with dogs from all walks of life. I have shared my life with many cats, and currently have two. I appreciate their love, boundaries, and unique personalities. Non verbal cues and body language are everything, meeting your animal at the pace they set. I work full time but can easily do early morning and later afternoon visits, noon visits, evenings, and weekends. I can potentially keep your dog overnight if you are away but would need to meet them first, as I do have two cats in my home who deserve to be comfortable in their own space. I can follow your routine to the best of my schedule and ability. I always walk on leash. I do not have a fenced yard currently but would prefer to be outside with them when they need to use the bathroom anyway so I can monitor their surroundings and therefore their comfort in an unfamiliar environment.
“Our first time trying the rover app and having Kristina watching our fur babies made it so easy for us to leave in peace of mind. She was very sweet and give us updates with pictures of our new pup. Would defenitly recommend Kristina to all of my friends! Thank you Kristina ?”

“April was the perfect sitter for Marco, our 5 month old puppy, she took the job very seriously and provided me with updates throughout the day. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again :)”

“It was the first time leaving my boy Whisky since his brother Milo died. Michael gave me such peace of mind staying over with him and spoiling him with lots of cuddles. Thank Michael for being such an amazing carer for my boy”

About: I've grown up with animals and have taken care of friend and family pets over the course of my life (am now in my 40s). And I've been taking care of cats and dogs professionally for a few years now, from young to old, healthy to less healthy. I'm very good at bonding with the animals, adjusting to their own pace and ways of being and so making them feel at ease. I work from home, so I'm around the animals a lot. Being a freelancer, I make my own schedule and this flexibility makes it easy to attend to the pets' needs. I'm also an early riser so it's no problem to take care of them early on in the day. I only offer house-sitting so I'll be in your home and will work with that configuration as per your instructions to ensure the pet's safety and well-being.
About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember! Growing up with cats, dogs, birds, and even turtles, I was always surrounded by furry (and feathered) friends. My love for horses led me to the pony club, where I learned how to care for them and even competed. In the early 2000s, while living in Austin, I had the unique privilege of house- and cat-sitting for the dean of liberal arts at UT. He had eight cats, and every year when he traveled to the UK, I happily moved in as their temporary but devoted caretaker. Over the years, I’ve jumped at any chance to look after friends’ pets—both cats and dogs—because, honestly, hanging out with animals never feels like a chore. These days, my husband and I are often asked to house- and dog-sit for friends in Halifax, which is always a treat. I love keeping a tidy home, making sure pets get plenty of exercise (extra walks if they’re up for it!), and ensuring they get all the love and care they need. I’m also experienced with administering medication and even whipping up special homemade meals for pups with refined palates. Caring for animals has always been a joy, and I love the connections I’ve made along the way—both human and four-legged. Fun fact: As a kid, I tried to start a dog-walking business and passed out hundreds of flyers in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, dog-walking wasn’t really a thing back then, and the only call I got was from a lady… who had a cat! I work part-time remotely from home, so I have plenty of time to care for house pets, go for walks, and I am up at the crack of dawn most days. I love a healthy routine, and keeping things organized and tidy. Whether I'm caring for a pet in my home or anyone else's, I like to follow the routine that works for everyone when it comes to exercise and feeding. When it comes to dealing with emergencies, I'm pretty chill, and I always check-in with the pet/home owner before any major purchases or vet visits.
About: I’ve cared for animals my whole life—I’ve had 5 cats and 2 dogs over the years, each with their own unique personality. From cuddly lap cats to playful pups, I’m comfortable with all kinds of pet needs and energy levels. I truly love spending time with animals and treat every pet like they’re my own. I work full time, but I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide reliable care before and after work, as well as on weekends. I make sure every pet gets the attention they need, whether it’s morning feedings, evening walks, or playtime and cuddles. Pet sitting fits naturally into my routine because spending time with animals is one of the best parts of my day! I care for my clients’ pets just like I do my own—with lots of love, patience, and attention to their unique needs. Whether it’s playtime, cuddles, feeding, or just quiet companionship, I always make sure pets feel safe and comfortable. I pay close attention to their routines, moods, and health, treating each one like family.
