🥰 Merci encore!”

“Can not ask for better dog sitter. The moment we met Lisa I knew my dog is in great care. I love that I received an honest feedback about my dog’s stay and Lisa’s willingness to accommodate our needs. Thank you, Lisa, for the great care!”

“An exceptional experience. I felt really comfortable with my pup in their care. They gave me great updates throughout the booking and they were very accommodating. I will absolutely use them again in the future.”

“Michelle has dog sat my dog twice and I would use her service again! She sent me a few pictures and videos, and I’m sure she would send more if requested. She always replies quickly to messages too. Her home is very clean. :) definitely recommend”
“We have been using Karthikeyan for over a year. Our girl loves going because she has a playmate while she is there. Karthikeyan and his family are excellent with her. They send videos, pictures, and updates at least once a day. If there is a concern with her, they do not hesitate to contact us immediately. We fully trust Karthikeyan to care for our girl.”

About: Hi! I’ve been taking care of pets and animals of all kinds ever since I was a teenager who wanted to be a vet (I’m not!). I’ve worked in a vet clinic, boarding facility and on a horse farm. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have a soft spot for senior fur-friends. I’m comfortable giving meds, grooming and with other special needs. I typically work from home one day during the week and am close enough to come home during the day at lunch for outside breaks. We live on a couple of acres and have a 6 year old, extremely friendly, lab and 2 year old cat at home. The yard is not fenced, so it would be leash walks for any visitors. Depending on the comfort level and habits of the dog, visiting fur-friends would be crated when no one is home.
“We had an excellent experience with Luc! From the very beginning, he was reliable, communicative, and clearly cared about our dog as if he was his own. We received regular updates, photos, and messages, which gave us peace of mind while we were away. Our dog came home happy, relaxed, and well cared for, and it was obvious he received plenty of attention and affection. We truly appreciated the professionalism and kindness throughout the entire experience. We wouldn't hesitate to book with them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog sitter!”

“Neil was absolutely fantastic with our pup. They went on several walks every day and he cared for him like he was his own. Our dog had so much fun we didn’t know if he would want to come home! :) Would recommend 1000%!”

“Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful with our dog. Our dog has social anxiety and it normally takes her a long time to get used to someone. After the first couple of days our Diva made herself right at home. We could see from the daily updates and pictures that she was happy in her environment. I would not hesitate to recommend Kaitlyn and will definitely be a repeat client.”

“This was a very last minute trip and Jennifer was absolutely amazing to be able to book Maggie for the next day as well as accommodate my unexpected delay! Very beautiful home with a beautiful family. I was sent texts and a picture with updates on how Maggie was doing! I would highly recommend Jennifer! Thank you so much for making this last minute trip possible! 💗”

“Thanks Marrisa; When I came back, Zorro was relaxed, happy, and clearly well cared for. You can tell she truly loves what she does. I’m so grateful to have found her and will definitely be booking again. Highly recommend!”

About: I have owned dogs all my life, from small breads to large breeds. I have always had a passion for dogs, they just make life so much better! I have looked after several dogs for friends and family and would like to extend my love for dogs to my community. I have a yard, dog toys, dog beds and dog bowls. I will only take 1 dog at a time or multiple dogs from the same family. I have a tenant downstairs, so I am unable to take excessive barkers. All dogs in my care must be great with children :) I am a mom of two and work a fully remote job. I am home almost all day, every day. I have a yard for your dog(s) to get their zoomies out :) I will treat your pet like they are my own. I will provide lots of love, cuddles and play. I know every dog has their own personality and I will be patient and respect their limits to make them as comfortable as possible
“Tony was absolutely fantastic to deal with! So accommodating and so amazing with our senior dog! He kept us in the loop all weekend, sending us pics and updates!!! Highly recommend him!! Thanks again!!”

“This was my first time ever using Rover, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was amazing from start to finish! She responded quickly to all of my questions and kept me updated with plenty of pictures. Bentley looked so happy and relaxed in every photo. I really appreciated that if she wasn’t certain about something, she asked first — especially since Bentley is a senior dog and has a specific routine. It meant so much that she was careful not to disrupt his normal schedule. Bentley has extreme separation anxiety, so leaving him is never easy for me. Seeing how calm and comfortable he was truly put my mind at ease. She went above and beyond, and I am so grateful for the care she gave him. We will most definitely be booking her again for any future needs!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
