“We were very impressed with Linus' property. He clearly loves dogs and has set up wonderful parameters for them. Our Maverick didn't want to leave and seemed sad to do so. He got lots of exercise too!”

“I couldn't be happier with the services as owners. Argo was well taken care of, daily updates on his status have been provided. Sophie's friendliness and expertise in pet care are impressive! Highly recommended.”

“Karthi and Reena were amazing with Roxy. They knew how to deal with her shyness and anxieties issues (post breeder who was adopted recently), They made sure to isolate her from the 2 other dogs when it was time to eat otherwise she wouldn’t eat. They were attentive and very caring and they sent me videos and photos all the time. I would highly recommend them :-)”

“Neil was absolutely fantastic with our pup. They went on several walks every day and he cared for him like he was his own. Our dog had so much fun we didn’t know if he would want to come home! :) Would recommend 1000%!”

“An exceptional experience. I felt really comfortable with my pup in their care. They gave me great updates throughout the booking and they were very accommodating. I will absolutely use them again in the future.”

“Tracy was amazing with Luna!! She sent us 2 or 3 daily updates. I enjoyed the way she will write the messages on behalf of Luna, very thought and sweet!! Tracy has a very clean and lovely home! She took Luna for daily walks and gave her LOTS of cuddles 🥰. Luna slept with Tracy every night, which made us feel very comfortable and safe and we knew she was well taken care of so we can enjoy our vacation!! We will definitely use her services again!!”

“Kaitlyn was absolutely wonderful with our dog. Our dog has social anxiety and it normally takes her a long time to get used to someone. After the first couple of days our Diva made herself right at home. We could see from the daily updates and pictures that she was happy in her environment. I would not hesitate to recommend Kaitlyn and will definitely be a repeat client.”

“This was a very last minute trip and Jennifer was absolutely amazing to be able to book Maggie for the next day as well as accommodate my unexpected delay! Very beautiful home with a beautiful family. I was sent texts and a picture with updates on how Maggie was doing! I would highly recommend Jennifer! Thank you so much for making this last minute trip possible! 💗”

“Tony was absolutely fantastic to deal with! So accommodating and so amazing with our senior dog! He kept us in the loop all weekend, sending us pics and updates!!! Highly recommend him!! Thanks again!!”

“Nadia took great care of our pups over the long weekend. She kept me updated when one of them seemed to have the blues and didn’t eat on his first day there. She also sent me picture and kept me updated regularly on how my babies were doing in her household. I will definitely retain Nadia’s services to care for our pups when needed moving forward! ?❤️”

“Abdhi was awesome! I’m so thankful I chose the right paw parent to care for our Rogan while we were away for 9 days. From the very beginning, she made us feel comfortable and confident that Rogan was in good hands. She sent us daily updates, photos, and little notes about how he was doing, and that meant the world to us. It truly gave us peace of mind and allowed us to enjoy our trip without constantly worrying. It’s not easy leaving your fur baby behind, but Abdhi made it feel like he was on a vacation of his own. We’re beyond grateful for the love, care, and attention she gave him. Highly recommended!”

“Caramelle was very happy with them and communication was easy. You can tell they love animals. We had cute picture updates that our kids loved . We will definitly ask them again when we go out of town”

“Danielle scheduled a meet and greet for a first-time boarding. Instantly, I could see that she took extra her job seriously and would care for our dog over the long weekend. Flexible drop off and pick up times. great response times, and thorough questions that communicated her level of care. The daily updates were amazing. Archie (our dog) didn't just have a place to stay, but he really was a part of Danielle's family for the weekend, with lots of walks, naps, and even a movie night! I would highly recommend!”

“Jasmeen is amazing! It was the first time I left my dog with someone that I didn’t know, and my first time using the app. Jasmeen put me at ease right away and so did Luna. You can tell that she is a great dog caregiver immediately when you meet her and her beautiful friendly dog Luna. She sent me regular pictures and kept me updated too. My dog got very attached to her. I would highly recommend Jasmeen and would absolutely bring my dog back to her! I wish I could give more stars.⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟”

About: I have owned dogs all my life, from small breads to large breeds. I have always had a passion for dogs, they just make life so much better! I have looked after several dogs for friends and family and would like to extend my love for dogs to my community. I have a yard, dog toys, dog beds and dog bowls. I will only take 1 dog at a time or multiple dogs from the same family. I have a tenant downstairs, so I am unable to take excessive barkers. All dogs in my care must be great with children :) I am a mom of two and work a fully remote job. I am home almost all day, every day. I have a yard for your dog(s) to get their zoomies out :) I will treat your pet like they are my own. I will provide lots of love, cuddles and play. I know every dog has their own personality and I will be patient and respect their limits to make them as comfortable as possible
“Moka seemed to have had a great time with Michelle. She was friendly and easy to communicate with, and also provided me updates and photos as this was our first time leaving Moka in someone else's care.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
