Pinjing took great care of our dog for a daycare stay. Ruby had a good time and it looked like she enjoyed the large fenced yard. The photo updates were appreciated!

Joey had a great time with Donna and her pup, they must have played non stop as Joey was very tired when we got home. Great communication and photos from his stay with Donna, we will be back again soon!

I can’t recommend Scott & Megan highly enough! They took great care of my dog while I was away. Charlie isn’t the easiest dog to look after, so it gave me a lot of peace of mind knowing he was in such capable and caring hands. They have the perfect outdoor space to safely exercise pets. They had no issues administering Charlie’s medications and provided frequent photo updates. We will absolutely be re-booking with Scott & Megan in the future, thank you both!

About: Growing up, my family and I used to board dogs throughout the summer. Since then, I have always loved pet sitting and do so any opportunity i get. I love being able to care for and love your pets like they’re my own for the time that i have them. I am very active, so if your pet likes, we can go for long walks/hikes/runs, and if not, we can relax together too! Pet care fits into my daily schedule as i already do it for my own dog. I work full time monday to friday, 8:30-4:30. If needed upon your request, I can go home on my lunch breaks for a quick walk and to accommodate any needs. I will be home throughout the evenings and weekends. I love to brings my animals with me when possible and if owners are comfortable with it. As i have my own pet to care for, adding one more to the bunch is just more fun! I live in an apartment, so small to medium dogs are preferred that have low-medium energy levels. I take my dog for walks three times a day, morning, after work, and night time. I am able to accommodate a variety of needs and preferences based on yours and your pets wants.

I could not have found a more caring cat sitter for my kitten. Kateryna far exceeded our expectations and communicated often with us. Sending us the most adorable photos and updates. Her home is impeccably clean and spacious. Her schedule is very accommodating allowing her to give love and attention to her “tenants”. She was a tremendous blessing to our family and saved our family vacation when she agreed to kitten-sit and litter-train our very young kitten with very short notice. She was joyful even though he left her many messes to clean up. He could not have been cared for with such attention to detail by anyone else at this affordable price. I am truly grateful!

About: Our names are Sebastien and Jodi. We’re a couple that lives in Saint John who want to spoil your furry friends with love on weekends you’re away! We have lots of experience with many different breeds, sizes, ages throughout the lifespan, and needs of different dogs. Our private fenced in backyard is a haven for playtime and zoomies, and our deck and living room with a skylight are perfect sunbathing spots. With both of us here wanting to give your pup all the attention, cuddles, treats, walks, playtime, and adventures possible, they’ll have double the love. We are very active people, excursions uptown and outdoors are far better with a buddy by our side. Senior dogs who prefer quiet afternoons cuddling while we read a good book are also perfect companions. There are no children in our home, only two cats who can be kept separate if your pup prefers, or be nearby for those who like company. We have a car available for transportation, lots of flexibility for whatever your pets needs may be, and a heart shaped hole in our weekends that your pup would fit into perfectly. Reach out to us and we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have! We want to spend our weekends taking care of animals with our free time because while it may not be our full time jobs, its definitely our favourite one! We are available normally Friday through Sunday, with some flexibility in certain cases if needed. We value making you and your pets as comfortable as possible with us before and during your stay, whether its just a walk or overnight, we know how integral trust is to the experience of leaving your pet with others. We will ask as many questions as we can to assure we know your pets unique needs in our space, and you are welcome to tell us things we may not think of! With a private fenced in yard, spacious home, and two pairs of caring eyes on your pup while you’re gone, they’ll be safe and sound. We are happy to provide picture and text updates as often as you want, and are happy to track anything like behaviour, diet, bathroom activity, etc. if you would like. Any other ways we can accommodate you and your pet are always welcome to be suggested too!

About: About Me I’ve been caring for all types of animals for over 20 years, and I truly love them all: big, small, young, old, goofy, nervous, energetic, or a little particular. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs and cats and am very comfortable caring for them in their older years. I’m happy to go the extra mile to make your pet comfortable and keep their routine as normal as possible while you’re away. If that means feeding them in a weird spot, taking extra time with a nervous pet, giving medications, going for walks, helping a slower senior dog, or doing whatever little things make them happy, I’m all for it! I’m patient, attentive and will make sure to keep things clean and tidy while you’re gone. My goal is for your pet to feel safe, loved, and cared for while you’re away. I currently work from home but that is changing in the future. I work from 8 to 4 daily at home. On the weekends, I’m free to take care of your pets all day. During the day, though, dogs can be let out when they need to be let out. Once I work from the office, I would be able to do mornings and evenings and nights. I treat every pet like they’re my own and try to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I’m happy to follow specific feeding schedules, give medications, take them for walks, provide extra attention, and accommodate any little quirks or special needs they may have. I’m patient and flexible, and I’m always willing to go the extra mile to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for. I’m also respectful of my client’s home and will treat it with the same care and respect as I would my own.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of September 2026, there are 19 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Hampton. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Hampton home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favourite hang-out spots in your Hampton

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
