“Alisha and Jesse were amazing with my pup🥰 sent me lots of pictures of my boy and he slept in bed with them❤️ he had outdoor outings which he loves. They treated him like he was their own dog. Would recommend them 110 percent”

“Tyler took great care of our girl while we were away. She received lots of exercise and snuggles. Tyler sent us lots of pictures and updates. I could tell Callie was very comfortable there. I definitely recommend Tyler for a home away from home for your dog.”

“Lady was super relaxed when we picked her up. She was a happy girl, my stepmom was very happy with the experience and glad we did a trial night before our trip in May. Thank you Stephanie for easing her concerns and treating Lady very well.”

“Natalie took the best care of our girl. She gave us lots of updates and photos of Callie. Callie got lots of walks and attention. She went above and beyond by letting us extend Callie’s stay by an extra night and dropped her off at our house. We highly recommend Natalie.”

“My dog Hime has never stayed overnight at another house before, and we had a 3-day trip we could not take her with us. I contacted Yogini and she quickly replied to me. She was interested to know Hime's routines and she took a great care of her, took her out for a walk and played with her. She sent me photos along the day and I had peace of mind knowing my fur baby was receiving good care. It's so good to know that I can count on Yogini for taking care of Hime next time we need. I definitely recommend her!”

“Catalin was great for our Sheppard Fritz. He has a very big fenced yard where they played fetch. There are walking trails close by that Fritz was walked on and provided lots of updates and pictures. I would highly recommend. We will definitely take Fritz back next time we are in town. Also a very convenient spot close to the highway.”

“Jenifer and Eduardo took excellent care of our dog. Lots of updates and great communication. Their dog Mailon is so gentle and friendly he helped put our dog at ease. Will definitely book again!”

“Nicola and Aaron are fantastic. Our first sitter had to cancel; we had to scramble to find another. Nicola replied to my request within an hour and said yes. We exchanged a few messages and booked the dates. Their home is easy to find and pet-friendly. Drop-off was stress-free, and we received a few pictures and updates during the sitting. Our Neely loved playing with their dog. I would book Nicola again in a heartbeat. Oh, I almost forgot, Neely got dirty during the visit, and they gave her a bath :) I got back a cleaner dog than I dropped off!!!”

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life and heart. Today I am the proud parent of a goofy 1 year old Bernese-Golden mix named Foog, so I am no stranger to puppy energy and training, having experience in all age ranges of dogs. I grew up with brother and sister dogs, one of which had diabetes and required a daily administration of insulin, pills, and special care. I have also cared for cats, bunnies, chickens, guinea pigs, and fish. I love animals of all kinds! Outside of pet sitting, I am a fisheries ecologist, which means my personal and professional life revolves around animal wellbeing. Whether it’s administering medications, handling energetic pups, or just giving extra cuddles, I treat every animal like they are my own. As a PhD student at UNB, I have flexibility in my schedule throughout the week for walks and boarding as I will work from home some days. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-ins, or longer stays, I can adjust to fit your pet’s routine and make sure they get all the love and attention they deserve. I provide a safe, welcoming, and pet-friendly space treating each animal like my own. I always prioritize safety (supervised play in secure places, watchful eyes for anything on the ground including unsafe food) and will make sure your pets feels comfortable. We back onto a large field with lots of play space and quiet streets that are perfect for sniffing, walking, and exploring. My pup, Foog, is a playful and uber loving dog who loves making new friends and is allowed on our comfy couch like family. We have successfully hosted many visiting dogs in our home.
About: I absolutely adore animals and grew up surrounded by dogs, cats, parrots, iguanas, turtles, hamsters, fish, you name it. I have always been interested in researching and providing the best living environment to each animal I owned and enjoy seeing them flourish under my care. During the summer I am free anytime and day of the week. From September until June I am available after 4pm and on weekends after 6am. I have a huge fenced in park that is a two minutes walk away from my home where I often take my small Eskipoo to play after our structured long walks around our family friendly neighbourhood. I do not have children so your pet will be in the absolute best care and will get spoiled rotten. I will be very good at listening to how you want me to care for your animal as I know each owner is different and they know their pet best. With my dog, I give him lots of love and attention in the form of physical exercise, play, and lots of cuddles. I am here to ensure you feel safe and happy leaving your pet under my care as I know how precious and what a huge important part they play in our lives. My dog is very friendly and loves other animals, he is hypoallergenic and is allowed on the furniture. He is a medium-low energy dog and weighs about 15 pounds. My partner and I do not smoke and we do not have any other pets other than our Eskipoo. Feel free to message me with any questions or concerns and let me know if you enjoy getting updates on your pet while you are away! I will be more than happy to send you pictures for you to check in with your baby.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Fredericton
We’re so grateful to Sarah & Ryan for the amazing care they gave our elderly dog, Chloe. They were patient, attentive, and loving towards her. They were easy to communicate with and sent updates with pictures which we appreciated. Chloe loved her time with them and came home a relaxed and happy pup. Highly recommend for anyone with an older dog who needs some loving care!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
