“Valeria was very kind and professional. She followed all the instructions I left for taking care of my cat and houseplants. I appreciated her clear communication. Highly recommend! Thanks Valeria 😀”

“Erika was absolutely fantastic and her communication was impeccable. Our boys warmed up to her fairly quickly and she made sure they got all the love during her drop in visits. We had to book Erika last minute and she was very responsive and quick to let us know she was able to take our booking. We will definitely be booking Erika in the future and I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone.”
“Dawn has looked after my three kitties multiple times now and her professionalism and quality of care have never wavered! Dawn treats the fur babies as if they were her own. I highly recommend her services!”

About: I am an active 23 year old animal lover! I have 10+ years of experience as I have grown up with dogs, and I have dog sat for many family, friends, and strangers. I live in an apartment right by a trail and my apartment has a grassy area outside of the building. I have previous work experience at a dog shelter, have dog sat as I was travelling, and worked at a farm with many dogs. I am a generous individual that can provide your pet with comfort, warmth, and what they need. I will be sure to help your pet in any way needed and make your dog feel welcome in my home environment. I can provide you with pictures and daily updates if you would appreciate . I am currently not working, so I have open availability. I love being active and staying outdoors, I go on plenty of walks and would love a companion. I also love to chill if that is what your pet needs! I live in a dog friendly apartment right by a trail, the apartment also has grass out front- which makes potty trips very feasible. I would offer a comfortable and safe environment for your pet.
“Geet is a wonderful car giver, she really goes the extra mile to make sure my pets feel safe and secure when I’m away. She treats your babies as if they were her own. Extremely detailed and was quick to message me when she noticed some concerning behavior. It wasn't anything serious, but still great to have that communication.”

About: I had a dog when I was younger and then had two of my own for 15 years. When friends travel, they call me to look after their fur babies. Love having the company. I would love to meet some furry friends and give you some worry free time away! I provide comfort to your pet so you can relax and enjoy your time away. I have my own vehicle to go to the off leash or trails. I follow the directions of the owner. Lots of pets and play, inside or outside. Leave the home as I found it. Love the animals as if they were my own.
About: I've lived with dogs my whole life, and I love every dog I meet. I currently have a senior spaniel who is blind and deaf, and he's happiest when he's sleeping or eating. I'm not able to take in dogs into my own home because of not wanting to stress him out but I'm happy to drop by your place for a quick walk or just to visit your animals! I work a full time job, but I work from home, and am looking for any animals in the area that I'm able to visit either on my lunch break or after work hours Depending on your pet, I can either just come in for a visit and some pets, or I can take them out for a walk around the neighbourhood to stretch their legs and do their business
About: I have two years of hands-on experience caring for dogs and cats at an animal shelter. My responsibilities included feeding, walking, cleaning kennels, monitoring behaviour, supporting medication routines, and caring for puppies, seniors, and nervous animals. I understand that every pet has a different personality, routine, and comfort level. My availability varies throughout the week, and I keep my Rover calendar updated so pet parents can see when I am available. I can provide scheduled walks, drop-in visits, feeding, playtime, and companionship. I carefully follow each pet’s normal routine and communicate promptly if there are any changes or concerns.ɓ Your pet’s safety and comfort are my priorities. I follow all feeding, walking, medication, and household instructions carefully. Before each walk, I check the leash, collar, or harness and stay alert to traffic, unfamiliar animals, and escape risks. I maintain a clean environment, respect clients’ homes, and provide regular updates so owners know their pets are safe
About: I’ve lived in a household with dogs and cats my entire life, as a recently graduated university student living in a pet free complex - I am looking to still be able to spend time with animals. I currently work Monday through Friday, from 9 to 4 and am available outside of those hours and during lunch hour if it is needed. I have plenty of experience caring for & walking animals, and I am an individual who follows instructions well and pays close attention to detail!
“Brooklyn was a great sitter for Foog. She was happy to accommodate meet and greet timings and multiple drop in’s for a day. She was quick to respond to all my questions and sent lots of photos throughout the day. I trust and recommend Brooklyn for your pup.”

“This was our first time having Taylor pup-sit, and we are so pleased! She was introduced to my pups a few days ago, and she quickly earned their trust. While checking in on them, she was very responsive to messages and sent us pictures. We'll be using her services again in the near future :)”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Fredericton
Geet has looked over our sweet baby Hank twice now and both times has taken such good care of him. She followed our instructions exactly and sent us lots of updates with photos while we were away. Our boy is quite affectionate and often struggles when we go away but both times Geet has looked after him he's been in such a good mood when we came home and was clearly well taken care of the whole time. Would definitely recommend Geet if you need a sitter for your fur baby!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
