Frankie’s second visit with Moyna and James. It was for a week this time. My first message from them put me at ease. Frankie was part of the family. Exactly what you want for your fur baby . Please don’t hesitate to use this fabulous couple as your sitter.

About: I offer loving in-home doggy day care and drop-in visits. Having a dog of my own has taught me the importance of patience, routine, and safety. I provide a calm environment and always give pets the care and attention they deserve while their owners are away. Caring for pets is already part of my everyday life. I’m home most of the day, which allows me to offer in-home doggy day care as well as drop-in visits. I focus on providing a calm, safe environment, regular routines, and plenty of attention so each pet feels comfortable and well cared for. When caring for pets in my home, I provide a calm, safe, and supervised environment with regular potty breaks, playtime, rest, and lots of attention. I follow each dog’s routine as closely as possible. During drop-in visits at a client’s home, I focus on feeding, potty breaks, playtime, companionship, and any specific instructions provided by the owner. My goal is to make every pet feel comfortable, safe, and cared for.

Maryann was amazing with our puppies! We had a flood in our home and had to relocate quickly. She was able to accommodate a very last minute emergency pet setting. She was great with our boys. They were happy, reated and had lots of love and attention. She sent tons of pictures so we felt really comfortable, knowing that they were very well loved. We would use her again and recommend her in a heartbeat. 💗🐾

It was our Ollie’s first time with Bia and it couldn’t have been better. She made him feel at home and comfy the whole time. We were able to get away for the weekend and have peace of mind knowing Ollie was very well taken care of! Highly recommended!

I felt comfortable with Malu as soon as I met her for the meet and greet that I requested a few days before dropping my ‘Belle’ off for an overnight. I picked up Belle this afternoon and I could tell she felt comfortable there.

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, fish and I have worked on a farm the last 5 years. I understand that you want your pet sitter to feel comfortable around your animals. Big or small animals I am your girl :) I’m currently working full time Monday to Friday 8-4 with most afternoons on weekdays open. My weekends are free for any kind of care needed. I have one playful dog and one cat to keep your animals company. There’s easily spot for a crate in my house if needed. For boarding if your animals like to sleep in the bed, they are also welcome to or in my room on the floor with a bed. I’m pretty flexible with how I can work around attending to your animal. If your animal doesn’t like other dogs I can bring my dog to my dad’s house for the weekend with no issues. The only requirement is the cat has to stay as she’s old and this is the only place she’s ever known.

My dog Penny had the best time with Joseph! They took such great care for her and made sure she was happy and comfortable. Joseph really understood all of Pennys needs and happily provided all the love and attention she requires. I was so impressed with how well Joseph kept me updated. He sent regular photos/videos and messages which gave me peace of mind knowing my fur baby was in the best hands! Penny absolutely loved going on adventures and hiking with Joseph and his adorable dog! What a great way to keep my dog engaged and active while I was away. I highly recommend Joseph to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter. He made the entire process incredibly easy and stress free. He truly went above and beyond to make sure my dog had a fantastic experience. Thanks so much Joseph! Penny will definitely be back again! 🐾

About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. My lahasa apso had a 24 year run with our family. We now have a cavalier king charles spaniel that love friends. I stay at home now and my kids have moved on and we love the company. I stay at home, I am an empty nester and always looking for something to do. Me and Jax take daily walks at the golf course and always happy to have a friend tag along. Very large fenced in back yard with trees, Country setting near the golf course where we do daily walks. Zoomies are no issue here. 🩵

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Kensington

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 25 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Kensington. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Kensington home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favourite hang-out spots in your Kensington

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
