“Cami went above and beyond on short notice to look after 2 young terriers who only met occasionally. She was knowledgeable and patient. Now they are friends and will see each more often and hopefully be a bit more mature.”

“This was the second time we took Harper to Bethany and Imran. He boarded 3 nights. Most of our communications were through pictures and commenting on them, I really appreciated that. Harper seemed comfortable and was around other dogs which made me feel better as he had friends to play and run with and go for walks! I feel Imran and Bethany were very attentive to him, i would not hesitate to rebook and would recommend them any time ! Rhonda and Grant”

“We have boarded our labradoodle twice now w Katrina and have another upcoming. Communication is great and I feel very confident our pup is receiving excellent care and attention. So happy to have found Katrina!”

“Maryann was amazing with our puppies! We had a flood in our home and had to relocate quickly. She was able to accommodate a very last minute emergency pet setting. She was great with our boys. They were happy, reated and had lots of love and attention. She sent tons of pictures so we felt really comfortable, knowing that they were very well loved. We would use her again and recommend her in a heartbeat. 💗🐾”

“It was our Ollie’s first time with Bia and it couldn’t have been better. She made him feel at home and comfy the whole time. We were able to get away for the weekend and have peace of mind knowing Ollie was very well taken care of! Highly recommended!”

About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, fish and I have worked on a farm the last 5 years. I understand that you want your pet sitter to feel comfortable around your animals. Big or small animals I am your girl :) I’m currently working full time Monday to Friday 8-4 with most afternoons on weekdays open. My weekends are free for any kind of care needed. I have one playful dog and one cat to keep your animals company. There’s easily spot for a crate in my house if needed. For boarding if your animals like to sleep in the bed, they are also welcome to or in my room on the floor with a bed. I’m pretty flexible with how I can work around attending to your animal. If your animal doesn’t like other dogs I can bring my dog to my dad’s house for the weekend with no issues. The only requirement is the cat has to stay as she’s old and this is the only place she’s ever known.
“Frankie’s second visit with Moyna and James. It was for a week this time. My first message from them put me at ease. Frankie was part of the family. Exactly what you want for your fur baby . Please don’t hesitate to use this fabulous couple as your sitter.”

“Having our dog stay with Morgan was fantastic! There was lots of open space for him to run and play, and she was very accommodating for drop off and pick up. She regularly checked in with us to update on how the stay was going and provided wonderful pics of the dogs playing and going on walks. Would recommend in a heartbeat!”

“I felt comfortable with Malu as soon as I met her for the meet and greet that I requested a few days before dropping my ‘Belle’ off for an overnight. I picked up Belle this afternoon and I could tell she felt comfortable there.”

“We felt very comfortable knowing that Colin was taking care of Rocky. He got Rocky out for lots of exercise and made Rocky feel right at home. Would absolutely recommend him to friends and family!”

“Thank you to Stacey and Sadie. We had a visit to meet each other and see if Jackson Blue and Jude did well together and I really appreciated that. After Jackson Blue’s first and second visit I felt he was in a safe, loving and fun home 💙 Thank you both so much for providing the best care for my sweet Jackson Blue.”

“Victoria took awesome care of my chihuahua, Kia. They communicated well with each other although Kia probably took advantage of her. They had a great time together and were a perfect match. She kept me updated on Kia.”

About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. My lahasa apso had a 24 year run with our family. We now have a cavalier king charles spaniel that love friends. I stay at home now and my kids have moved on and we love the company. I stay at home, I am an empty nester and always looking for something to do. Me and Jax take daily walks at the golf course and always happy to have a friend tag along. Very large fenced in back yard with trees, Country setting near the golf course where we do daily walks. Zoomies are no issue here. 🩵

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Cornwall
Joseph once again took very good care of Maggie and this time, our little guy Stanley too! He was super flexible with drop off and pick up times, sent us amazing photos of our fur babies on the trail, and they came back to us tuckered out, fed, bathed, clean and happy! Thank you for the quality of care and attention you give our little ones! We are so grateful for amazing sitters like you who provide such exceptional service.

Joseph, Andrea and family accommodated my very last minute boarding request for my golden Ellie. They were communicative and kind throughout. Ellie got to have lots of fun and adventure with pictures provided (great photographers too !). Highly recommend, 5 stars isn’t enough! Thanks so much again :)

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
