“Maryann was a life saver for last minute pet sitting. She was accommodating and had great communication regarding my pets. I would absolutely recommend her for any cat parents nervous to leave their fur babies in someone else’s care. Thank you again!”

About: Hi! My name is Mya. I am 25 years old, work full-time for the federal government, and live on my family’s potato farm. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me playing hockey, golfing, hiking, spending time outdoors with my friends, or grabbing a coffee! I’ve grown up surrounded by animals and have over 15 years of experience caring for my own cats and dogs. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets through all stages of life, from the puppy/kitten stage all the way through their senior years. I understand that every stage comes with different needs, and I’m happy to adjust my care to suit each pet. In addition to caring for my own pets, I have 10 years of experience pet sitting for multiple families in my community. I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all different ages, breeds, sizes, personalities. I also have experience caring for pets with special medical needs. As a pet owner myself, I know how hard it can be to trust someone with your pet. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pet with the same love, care, and attention that I would want for my own. Whether it’s for a short term or long term stay, I will make sure your pet receives the absolute best care while you are away! I live in Albany and work full-time in Charlottetown, so I’m available to care for pets anywhere between those two locations! I work Monday–Friday from 8–4, but am still available for weekday and overnight bookings, provided your pet is comfortable being left alone during my workday. I’m available before and after work and throughout the weekends. If you’re located in Charlottetown, I’m also available for lunchtime drop-in visits during the workweek. When staying in your home, I’ll treat it with care and respect. I’ll make sure everything is left clean and exactly as I found it! I’ll tailor my care to your pet’s individual needs and preferences. While I’m at work, I’ll ensure your pet is left in a safe, secure environment and that there are no hazards they could access. As someone who owns a silly cat who’s always looking for an escape route, I’m especially mindful about doors, windows, and home safety! If you’re comfortable with it, my partner may occasionally join me on a booking to provide your pet with some extra love, attention, and playtime. This is always entirely up to you, and I’ll always respect your preferences and any rules you have regarding access to your home.
About: I’ve been starting to dog sit/house sit for the last year, I’ve watched dogs and cats and love both, preferably dogs as I’ve grown up with dogs of all sizes my whole life! I currently work full time at a kids dental office, Monday and fridays 9-2 and Tuesday to Thursday 8:30-4 I’m available in the evenings as well as weekends! I do bartend part time on some weekend nights as well as week day evenings, so if my schedule says I’m unavailable on a certain day that you need a sitter, still try to message me, and I can try to make something work, as long as your fur baby is okay to be left alone for a few hours! At a clients home if they have a fenced in yard, play fetch with them, if not a fenced in yard, long walks around your neighborhood or if they do well for car rides take them to a dog park or a pet friendly place
About: I have taken care of dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, fish and I have worked on a farm the last 5 years. I understand that you want your pet sitter to feel comfortable around your animals. Big or small animals I am your girl :) I’m currently working full time Monday to Friday 8-4 with most afternoons on weekdays open. My weekends are free for any kind of care needed. I have one playful dog and one cat to keep your animals company. There’s easily spot for a crate in my house if needed. For boarding if your animals like to sleep in the bed, they are also welcome to or in my room on the floor with a bed. I’m pretty flexible with how I can work around attending to your animal. If your animal doesn’t like other dogs I can bring my dog to my dad’s house for the weekend with no issues. The only requirement is the cat has to stay as she’s old and this is the only place she’s ever known.
“Leaving a young puppy is never easy, but Cindy made us feel completely comfortable. She checked in on Axl during the day, let him out to pee, played with him, and gave him lots of attention and treats. Knowing she was coming by made the whole day so much less stressful for us. You can tell she genuinely loves animals, and Axl was so happy and comfortable with her and we will absolutely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve been a dedicated dog owner for several years and currently share my home with two German Shorthaired Pointers, ages 7 and 4. Caring for high-energy dogs has given me extensive experience with daily walks, exercise, feeding routines, playtime, basic training reinforcement, and recognizing each dog’s unique personality and needs. I understand that every pet thrives on consistency, so I take the time to follow your routine and provide the same level of care and attention they’re used to at home. Whether it’s a walk to burn off energy, a drop-in visit for meals and companionship, or staying in your home while you’re away, I’ll treat your pets with the same love, patience, and respect I give my own. As a full-time Health & Safety professional, I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and understand the importance of following instructions carefully. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I work full-time during the week, so I’m currently available for weekend dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnight house sitting. On weekends, your pet will have my full attention, whether they need exercise, companionship, or care while you’re away. I’ll always communicate clearly, provide updates and photos, and follow your pet’s routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I believe pets are happiest when they can stick to their normal routine, especially while their family is away. When caring for your pet in your home, I’ll follow your instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special routines that help your pet feel comfortable. During drop-in visits and walks, I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, fresh water, and bathroom breaks. I’ll also provide lots of affection (if they enjoy it!) and keep you updated with photos and messages so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. I’ll always treat your home with respect and care for your pets as if they were my own—making their safety, comfort, and happiness my top priorities.

About: What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my lifelong passion for animals and my deep, personal connection with dogs. Growing up, I had two beloved pups who were my constant companions. Being away from them has only deepened my love for pets, inspiring me to channel that affection into caring for others' furry family members. In addition to personal pet care, I bring unique experience from my home country, where I actively cared for street dogs. I provided them with food, offered them shelter, and ensured they felt safe and loved. This hands-on involvement has given me well-rounded expertise in understanding dogs of all temperaments, backgrounds, and needs. Whether it’s showering dogs with love, ensuring their comfort, or managing unique care requirements, my diverse experience makes me uniquely qualified to care for your pet with the same dedication and compassion I’ve always given my own. Trust me to treat your pet as if they were my own! Pet care fits seamlessly into my routine as my studies are currently complete, and I’m working part-time. This flexibility allows me to dedicate ample time to providing exceptional care for pets. When caring for pets at my clients' homes, I prioritize creating a comfortable and familiar environment for them. As part of my service, I also offer dog walking, ensuring pets get the exercise and stimulation they need to stay happy and healthy. I make every walk enjoyable, safe, and tailored to the dog’s energy level and preferences. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.
Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Cornwall stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Cornwall choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
