“We never used Rover before and needed someone to look after our puppy for a week in our home. We chose Riliegh to be our person because of all the great comments. Well we couldn't have asked for anyone better!!! Riliegh dropped by for a meet and greet. I knew right then so we booked her. I admit I was a bit nervous but after seeing pictures and getting updates I felt completely happy that she was in good hands. Our home was perfect when we got home and she stayed late as our flights were delayed. Mellow has a friend for life, her first sitter, we will ask Riliegh again. We can't thank her enough. Recommend 100%”

“Jennifer was very responsive and took amazing care of our dog Rose. She made sure Rose was well exercised, she played with her, as well as she made sure she had lots of cuddles. Jen sent plenty of updates which kept us informed and at ease. She left the house clean and we would absolutely recommend her to anyone that would need to book a dogsitter.”

“Cynthia took good care of my pets while I was away. She provided regular updates, sent pictures and responded quickly when I reached out to her. My dog Stella warmed up to her very quickly. I’d be happy to have Cynthia house sit for me again and I’d definitely recommend her.”

“This was our second time having Andrea and her husband stay at our house. We couldn't be happier with the love and care she gave our dog and also our house. Thanks again Andrea! :)”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! From the moment I met Kate, I felt completely at ease leaving my pup in her hands. She was attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout the stay, she kept me updated with messages and photos, which really reassured me that my dog was happy and well cared for. When I came back, my dog was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a great time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve grown up around cats and dogs my whole life. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats at home. I also volunteer with a Texas animal rescue and have transported numerous dogs of all breeds, size, and backgrounds. I work well with reactive dogs, health issues, and any size animals not only from experience with my own dogs but the rescue dogs I’ve transported from Texas. I do shift work and am looking for something to do on the side. I usually work 9-9 on a long week short week rotation I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life. I believe each animal has their own needs which I’m more than happy to accommodate. I’ve epilepsy to mobility issues I've definitely seen it all.
“Joy treated my 3 &1/2 month old puppy amazingly. I couldn’t recommend her more. She communicates well and sends photo updates. My puppy is really happy and content when we arrived home.”

About: I've been around animals my whole life, and I love taking dogs for walks. In my free time, I also enjoy horseback riding and walking dogs for SPCA, I've even babysat a friend's hamster. Going for walks and enjoying the outdoors is a passion of mine. I'm looking for extra income in addition to my job, so I'm offering dog-walking services during my free time throughout the week. I'll do my best to accommodate your needs, whether it's walking your dog around your neighborhood or taking them to a nearby dog park if required. I have my own transportation, so I'm flexible when it comes to your location. I'm currently working full-time, and my schedule varies slightly from week to week. Feel free to check my availability. That being said, if there's a day that's not listed, please don't hesitate to ask, as things could change! When dog walking, my primary focus is on the well-being and happiness of the dog. I start by ensuring the dog is securely leashed and comfortable with their equipment. During the walk, I choose a safe route, preferably the one that the dog knows, taking into account the dog's pace and preferences. I pay close attention to their body language, allowing for breaks when needed. Socialization with other dogs and people is carefully managed, and I always clean up after them. Clear communication with the dog owner is a priority, providing updates on the walk's progress. My goal is to provide a enjoyable and safe experience for the dog, promoting their physical and mental health.
“After a cancellation we were able to find Bev to come and take care of our furry family over the Christmas holiday. We were a little worried where this was our first big trip away from the dogs and leaving them with a total stranger. We were able to meet a couple times before leaving and Otis and Luna warmed up very quickly. Bev checked in with us regularly and kept us updated. I would highly recommend Bev to anyone looking for a sitter.”

About: Meet Nadia & Grayson 🐾 Hi! We’re Nadia and my 13-year-old son, Grayson! We’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family members. 🐶🐱 When Grayson was 7, I spent three wonderful years on Rover caring for so many loved pets. Grayson was always by my side, helping with walks, playtime, cuddles, and care. Now at 13, he’s excited to take on more responsibility and continue that experience himself! After losing my first dog, we started pet sitting, and eventually welcomed our own rescue, Lilo—a 10-year-old Australian Shepherd/Chocolate Lab mix. Grayson plays a huge role in her daily care and is incredibly loving and responsible with her. ❤️ Whether your pet needs a walk, some cuddles and company, playtime, or a quick check-in while you’re away, we’d love to help! We’ll treat your pets like our own and can’t wait to meet your fur babies! 🐾💕 I work Monday to Thursday from 8am to 4:45pm with an hour lunch. Depending how far you are, a lunch hour walk is possible. I am off Friday to Sunday. Grayson finishes school at 3:30pm and available on weekends as well. We will always respect your house rules. We both strongly believe in routine and consistency is important in making your furry ones feel safe. We will make sure they are loved by us, just as much as they are loved by you.

“Zakia was a very responsible, attentive, and kind dog sitter to our sweet Ruby. Knowing Ruby is an active small dog, Zakia took the time to take Ruby on her favourite walks and explored green spaces and trails. Zakia and her partner made sure to send plenty of pictures and videos of Ruby and asked questions to clarify about her care instructions. Ruby loves to cuddle and stay close to people and Zakia didn’t shy away from providing a lot of attention. Our house was also well looked after and in the same condition as we left it——so nice to return to after being away for a week. I highly recommend considering Zakia as a dog sitter/house sitter for your loved pet.”

About: Having never grown up in a home without at least 2 pets I understand how precious they are and how much care and attention they require. Pet care has always been part of daily life and I also enjoyed volunteering with a dog shelter all throughout middle and high school where I helped with feeding, cleaning, walking and bathing. I’ve also informally helped friends and neighbors by looking after their pets when they’re away. I understand how important it is to know your pet is in kind, reliable hands, and I treat every animal like they’re part of my own family. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, or just keeping your pet company, I’m happy to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved while you’re away! Although I do work throughout the day and available all evenings, overnights and the weekends. I am available for walks, boarding, and in home pet care whenever needed. As my schedule is flexible same day appointments or cancellations are not a concern. While I have an unfenced backyard I live close to parks and open spaces convenient for walking and playtime. I also have a cat who has spent a lot of time with and is comfortable around dogs
About: I grew up with animals (cats, rabbits, dogs) and we currently have a Saint Bernard as a family dog so I am used to saliva and a lot of hair loss haha. Hi there, I am Noelle:) I am a 25-year old psychology student from Germany and I recently moved to Moncton. As I am currently writing my master thesis my schedule is quite flexible. There are no children or other animals in the house, and the garden is also fenced in for added security. Most of the time, it will just be me in the house, ensuring a quiet and peaceful environment.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lutes Mountain
Priscila is an excellent and trustworthy dog sitter. We were on a road trip with our dog and had to find someone to look after him during unusual hours and she was so flexible with it, she even brought our dog back to the hotel we were staying at instead of us needing to pick him up. She also was providing photos and updates regularly throughout the evening. Thank you so much, Priscila!

It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lutes Mountain maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lutes Mountain walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lutes Mountain choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
