âThis was our first time having Rileigh over to our apartment to cat-sit overnight while we went on a short trip. We were able to arrange a meet and greet prior to the booking and she was responsive and easy to get in touch with! We appreciate her keeping our very social kitty company and sending us updates while we were gone!â

About: My husband and I are both teachers that dog sit in our spare time! We are dedicated to providing loving, attentive and reliable care for your furry friends! We treat each pet as our own â¤ď¸ We are available full time during July and August. We will have lots of time to be home with your pets and go for walks! We care for pets like theyâre part of the family! We make sure they get plenty of love, attention, exercise, fresh water, meals on schedule, and lots of playtime and cuddles.

About: I have raised a Labrador puppy as well as a bichon frisĂŠ from the puppy stage to adulthood, I understand how critical movement and entertainment is for animals and thatâs why Iâm here to help. Iâm a very patient person when it comes to animals and I have experience in puppy training as well. Iâm currently a student in university and Iâm looking for different ways to stay active. In between classes and around my loose schedule, I can gladly make time to walk your furry friend and ensure they get the movement they need throughout the day. When caring for other peopleâs pets I always ask for a small list of instructions. This helps me know that the animals schedule is respected. For example if the animal is in the process of crate training, I can adequately care for the animal to not perturb the training. A simple list of instructions helps me to know how to offer the best care for your animal.
âFrom the first interaction to the last goodbye, Kate was fabulous! We felt so comfortable leaving our 2 cats with her for the week. She is truly a gem. Would not hesitate to book her again!â

âZakia was a very responsible, attentive, and kind dog sitter to our sweet Ruby. Knowing Ruby is an active small dog, Zakia took the time to take Ruby on her favourite walks and explored green spaces and trails. Zakia and her partner made sure to send plenty of pictures and videos of Ruby and asked questions to clarify about her care instructions. Ruby loves to cuddle and stay close to people and Zakia didnât shy away from providing a lot of attention. Our house was also well looked after and in the same condition as we left itââso nice to return to after being away for a week. I highly recommend considering Zakia as a dog sitter/house sitter for your loved pet.â

âThis was our second time having Andrea and her husband stay at our house. We couldn't be happier with the love and care she gave our dog and also our house. Thanks again Andrea! :)â

About: As a devoted dog lover and proud Samoyed owner, I understand that every dog deserves not just care, but real joy and freedom. Your pup wonât just stay inside â theyâll run, explore, and play safely in our fully fenced, private one-acre backyard designed just for dogs. With a playful spirit and careful attention, I treat every dog like my own: daily adventures, belly rubs, and plenty of photos so you never miss a moment. When your dog stays with me, theyâre not just being watched â theyâre welcomed into a home full of love and fun. work full time four days a week, so Iâm free most weekends and evenings after 5. Dogs are a daily joy thanks to my Samoyed, and I love giving every pup playtime and love in my big fenced yard I treat every pet like part of my family, whether theyâre in my home or yours. About: I grew up with animals (cats, rabbits, dogs) and we currently have a Saint Bernard as a family dog so I am used to saliva and a lot of hair loss haha. Hi there, I am Noelle:) I am a 25-year old psychology student from Germany and I recently moved to Moncton. As I am currently writing my master thesis my schedule is quite flexible. There are no children or other animals in the house, and the garden is also fenced in for added security. Most of the time, it will just be me in the house, ensuring a quiet and peaceful environment.
âWe recently had the pleasure of using our favorite dog sitter again, and once again, they exceeded our expectations! From the moment we reached out, their communication was prompt and friendly. They took such wonderful care of our River, providing regular updates and photos that put our minds at ease while we were away. We always come home to River happy and well-exercised, which speaks volumes about the attention and love River receives. We highly recommend this sitter to anyone looking for reliable pet care. We canât wait to book again!â

âAfter a cancellation we were able to find Bev to come and take care of our furry family over the Christmas holiday. We were a little worried where this was our first big trip away from the dogs and leaving them with a total stranger. We were able to meet a couple times before leaving and Otis and Luna warmed up very quickly. Bev checked in with us regularly and kept us updated. I would highly recommend Bev to anyone looking for a sitter.â

About: Iâve cared for dogs on and off over the years, including walking, feeding, and general companionship. While I wouldnât describe myself as a lifelong professional dog owner yet, I follow instructions well. Iâm attentive, patient, and respectful of each dogâs unique personality, energy level, and boundaries. I enjoy building trust with dogs over time and making sure they feel safe, exercised, and cared for while their humans are away. Iâm also considering getting a dog of my own in the future, and Rover has been a great way for me to spend time with different breeds and temperaments while providing reliable care to others. I have flexible availability and can support pet care at the following times: Early mornings Lunch breaks (especially if youâre nearby) Certain evenings Weekends Iâm happy to discuss recurring schedules or occasional needs, and I do my best to be punctual and communicative. I aim to follow your routines as closely as possible so your pet feels comfortable and secure. For walks and drop-ins: Walks tailored to your dogâs energy level and preferences Fresh water checks and feeding if needed Playtime, calm companionship, and positive attention Basic cleanup (wiping paws, making sure the space is tidy) Updates and photos so you know how things are going In your home: Respectful of your space and your petâs routine Clear communication if anything seems off or out of the ordinary Focus on safety, comfort, and keeping your pet relaxed
About: my family always had dogs growing up and I adopted my own puppy in 2017... sheâs my best friend! I know Iâll love yours too. I currently work full time with weekends and Mondays off. Whatever your pet needs, Iâm happy to accommodate!
About: I bring several years of pet sitting experience, including caring for multi- animal homes with four cats, a dog and even chickens. Iâm comfortable managing detailed routines and making sure each pet receives individual attention. I have some experience administering medications (mainly in dogs), which makes me confident with senior pets and animals who require structured medical care. Having grown up around both household pets and farm animals, Iâm comfortable with animals of all sizes and temperaments. My experience is wide but my approach is the same- I treat every pet like they were my own. I work full-time in Wallace, with most weekends off, which gives me great availability for pet care during evenings and most weekends. While my apartment unfortunately doesnât allow pets for boarding, Iâm happy to provide care in your home anywhere from Wallace to the Amherst area. Iâm also available for check-ins before and after work, though daytime visits are limited unless youâre located close to Wallace. I treat your home & pets as my own, following routines closely and keeping them safe and happy, and loved while getting plenty of attention and exercise.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lutes Mountain
Priscila is an excellent and trustworthy dog sitter. We were on a road trip with our dog and had to find someone to look after him during unusual hours and she was so flexible with it, she even brought our dog back to the hotel we were staying at instead of us needing to pick him up. She also was providing photos and updates regularly throughout the evening. Thank you so much, Priscila!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 55 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Lutes Mountain. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Itâs helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lutes Mountain maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate theyâll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your petâs profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitterâs presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lutes Mountain walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your homeâs security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lutes Mountain choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sittersâs profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Roverâs commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Roverâs reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
