“Priscila was absolutely fantastic! It was my first time using this app and also leaving my fur baby all by his lonesome and she made me feel very much at ease! Communication was perfect, she sent many updates my way along with pictures and my home was like no one was ever there. Highly recommend hiring her if you’re looking for someone to look after your pets - I know I’ll be booking her again! ☺️”

“Amazing! This is my first time and was very nervous, she provided me updates and pictures and I was able to sleep well knowing my dog was in good hands. Will definitely be booking again 😁😁”

“Haley was amazing with our kitty and kept us updated the entire time we were away. We were pretty anxious about leaving our cat for the first time since we got her but Haley was so accommodating and took such great care of her. Highly recommended!”

“I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received! From the moment I met Kate, I felt completely at ease leaving my pup in her hands. She was attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout the stay, she kept me updated with messages and photos, which really reassured me that my dog was happy and well cared for. When I came back, my dog was relaxed, healthy, and clearly had a great time. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving dog sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“This was our second time having Andrea and her husband stay at our house. We couldn't be happier with the love and care she gave our dog and also our house. Thanks again Andrea! :)”

About: My husband and I are both teachers and are dedicated to providing loving, attentive and reliable care for your furry friends! We treat each pet as our own ❤️ We work 8 am to 3pm Mon- Fri until end of June then we are available full time during July and August. We will have lots of time to be home with your pets in the afternoon and evenings. I care for pets like they’re part of the family! I make sure they get plenty of love, attention, exercise, fresh water, meals on schedule, and lots of playtime and cuddles.

About: I have raised a Labrador puppy as well as a bichon frisé from the puppy stage to adulthood, I understand how critical movement and entertainment is for animals and that’s why I’m here to help. I’m a very patient person when it comes to animals and I have experience in puppy training as well. I’m currently a student in university and I’m looking for different ways to stay active. In between classes and around my loose schedule, I can gladly make time to walk your furry friend and ensure they get the movement they need throughout the day. When caring for other people’s pets I always ask for a small list of instructions. This helps me know that the animals schedule is respected. For example if the animal is in the process of crate training, I can adequately care for the animal to not perturb the training. A simple list of instructions helps me to know how to offer the best care for your animal.
“Erika provided house/pet sitting for us for a week. We have a rescue with some quirky behaviour and Erika did a phenomenal job caring for her while we were away. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional, responsible sitter.”

“This was Danielle's first time looking after Maude "Maudie". I booked her early so I could go out and have dinner before going to an event. She arrived early and I was able to explain a few details about Maude. I told her that Maude was a sweet dog and loves cuddles. Maude has anxieties so finding someone to come and look after her at the house is a huge relief for her and me, as I know she's still in her environment. Danielle sent me a picture of Maude and her cuddling on the chair! 🥰 I had seen some previous reviews and I know I was in good hands! So far, I have booked three more dates with Danielle. I know Maude is looking forward to see her again next week! ❤️”

“After a cancellation we were able to find Bev to come and take care of our furry family over the Christmas holiday. We were a little worried where this was our first big trip away from the dogs and leaving them with a total stranger. We were able to meet a couple times before leaving and Otis and Luna warmed up very quickly. Bev checked in with us regularly and kept us updated. I would highly recommend Bev to anyone looking for a sitter.”

“Marrisa watched my 3 babies for 3 and a half weeks. I appreciated the updates and photos while I was away. Callie loved Marrisa from our first meet and greet which put me at ease and my two cats took a little bit of time to warm up but after the first week they became more comfortable. Thank you again for taking great care of them while I was away!! 🤍”

“Zakia was great with our cat while we were on holiday for a week! She updated every day and our cat really warmed to her quickly. Felt really comfortable that she was left in good hands and would love to have Zakia cat-sit for us again :)”

About: I've graduated Oulton College's Veterinary Assistant course and love to spend time with animals I have lived with and taken care of my grandparents dog and spent time around a variety of dogs during my practicum. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Moncton
AMAZING! Raleigh was as wonderful as anyone could hope for! She kept us up to date, took pictures, was oh so patient with our little anxious kitty. We can't thank her enough for her care and love for Molly while we were away. We WILL be using her again! Please don't even hesitate to book Rileigh, she was wonderful!

Kaitlyn was great with our 3 little dogs. They are very co-dependant and needy including one senior rescue that requires tricky meds twice per day. She handled it so well and provided lots of tender-love-care to our little doggies in our home staying over every night with them. She sent lots of videos, photos and updates to reassure us and she exceeded our hopes. She will be our regular dog-sitter/house-sitter in the future if she will have us. Superb!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Moncton on Rover is $55.5 per night (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of June 2026, there are 53 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Moncton. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Moncton maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Garbage & recycling: Taking garbage bins to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Moncton walking routes, the location of your favourite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Moncton choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
You can find what you need to review a sitter on their profile before booking with them. Each sitters’s profile on Rover shows verified reviews, identity check, and ratings to give a glimpse of how their previous visits went. You can also use the Meet & Greet to walk through your home, identifying which areas, like your bedroom, are off-limits or not. Requesting details of your home security through the app can also be a good way to have your sitter keep you updated about your home.
If you have security cameras or doorbells, Rover asks that you disclose them to sitters before you book.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
