Hi! My name is Marrisa (nicknamed Rissa or Rizla), and I'm passionate about animal welfare, with a special interest in behavior and training. I’ve been fostering dogs through a local rescue since 2021 and have had the joy of helping 10 dogs transition into their forever homes. I also have experience working in a veterinary clinic as a receptionist, and I've been a lifelong pet owner myself. I currently offer pet care through Rover full time, which allows me to give your pets the attention, care, and enrichment they deserve. I’m dedicated, compassionate, and committed to providing the highest quality care for both dogs and cats. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, or just a calm, reassuring presence, I’m here to help. Please note: I ask all new clients to fill out a short pet questionnaire so I can get to know your pet’s unique needs. It helps me provide the best possible care for your furry family member!

Marrisa watched my 3 babies for 3 and a half weeks. I appreciated the updates and photos while I was away. Callie loved Marrisa from our first meet and greet which put me at ease and my two cats took a little bit of time to warm up but after the first week they became more comfortable. Thank you again for taking great care of them while I was away!! 🤍
Marrisa is the BEST! She is wonderful to our kitty cats and such a nice person. It makes going anywhere without them stress free. We don’t have to worry, as we know they are taken care of and loved!
Marissa gave up her Christmas at home to house sit and look after my dog and cat and I really appreciated it. She regularly sent me updates and photos of their daily activities and they both were well looked after while I was away.
Marissa was amazing with our dogs. She sent me regular updates without even asking which have me peace of mind. I would recommend Marissa 100% and will definitely use her services again. Extremely happy!!
Marissa was great, we had something come up last minute and Marissa saved the day. For a first time meeting, Otis and Luna took to her instantly. I highly recommend and next time with a little more notice, we will definitely be contacting her again.
What an absolute pleasure it was to meet Marissa and have her take care of our pup. She kept us informed and sent pictures of him having a great day. When we went to pick him up, she gave us a breakdown of his stay on an hourly basis which was extremely helpful and helped relieve some of the anxiety pet parents feel while leaving their pets with someone. I have a decent sized unfenced yard that is a nice open space which facilitates play and training. There is a small field/walking trail just a few minutes walk from my house that is great for exercise. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs but, I have 2 floors and pet gates at all entrances so I can separate them and I can easily crate your pup as well, if needed.

A typical day
I love taking dogs for peaceful walks around my neighborhood, which includes a quiet trail and a lovely park just down the street. I believe that both physical and mental stimulation are key to a happy, healthy pet. Whether it’s a relaxing walk, engaging games, or working on basic training, I’m excited to help keep your pet active, enriched, and thriving!
