“Seb was a gem during my vacations. He came to meet my cats with a notebook in hand, ready to learn all about their routines and quirks. He kept me updated at every visit with cute pictures and videos. He’s an exceptional pet sitter and overall awesome guy 😊 would def recommend.”

“Lexie loved spending time with Gary! We were very happy to get some pictures each visit & felt very confident to let Gary in our home to take care of Lexie. We will be booking again for sure!”

“Priscila was amazing! She took her time with Billie since she doesn't warm up to new people very fast so she doesnt move much, and Billie went out with her with no problems, she was great with her. Checked in, provided pictures, messaged to let me everything she did. Cant ask for much better! Very easy, stress-free experience”

“Kaitlyn did an amazing job checking in on our two cats while we were away for a big family vacation! Normally they're pretty wary if strangers but they warmed up to her right away. Kaitlyn made sure we were comfortable as well by sending lots of photos and videos and great recaps showing how our two girls were doing!”

“Sacha took great care of my 2 dogs when we went away. She even did an additional drop in which was so appreciated. She was very communicative and I was so grateful for the photos she sent so I knew my dogs were ok. Would highly recommend :)”

About: I enjoy house sitting & pet sitting in my free time. I have worked in vet med for some time and the rescue cases are what inspire me to treat all animals with love and comfort everyday. Animals are truly our babies; I ensure to clean up after, feed, walk and aid in training with all animals i look after. I'm currently working casually, I go to school in just a couple of months so my availability is flexible. Short notice is not usually an issue with me, I understand that things come up and i manage to move my schedule as much to make the process easier for you and your furr baby. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, comfort, and routine. I follow feeding schedules and medication instructions exactly, provide fresh water, and ensure pets get appropriate exercise and playtime. I monitor their health and behavior, clean up after them, and maintain a tidy, secure environment. Regular updates with photos help owners stay connected, while respecting house rules and the pets’ personalities ensures a calm, happy experience for everyone.
“Jayde was amazing. Beans absolutely loved her immediately, and she's normally afraid to come out for anyone but me. I've never seen her take to someone so fast. Jayde also did a great job. I have no problem recommending her, and will definitely hire her again next time I'm out of town.”

“Haley was amazing. My two cats are both shy with new people and almost immediately the two of them were getting pets from her. I received daily pictures of my boys - twice a day during their check ins which meant a lot to me. Would highly recommended Haley and hopefully she is available the next time I need a cat-sitter as she will be my first choice.”

“I will highly recommended Rileigh, she is very caring and knows what she is doing. My boy is always happy to see her. She always keeps me posted on what they are doing and sent me pictures as well. Thank you for watching after my boy.”

About: I have been around animals all my life. Right now I volunteer for a dog rescue as a foster coordinator. I have lots of experience on care for dogs. I own two dogs. I am always with my dogs. I work from home when I want to or I can go into an office. If I was pet sitting, I would be working from home. I would only be caring for pets in my home. I have two friendly dogs of my own who are great with other dogs. I have a fenced in backyard. That is safe and secure. And my dogs are never outside by themselves for an extended period of time.

“This was our first time using this service and our experience was fantastic!! Marissa followed instructions perfectly and then went above and beyond. She communicated with us in detail and took lots of pictures of our kitties so we knew they were okay. She took the time to play with them and provide them love. We will definitely be using her again. Thank you Marissa!!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Moncton
This was the first time that we have used this service and it worked out great. Kelsey was very reliable and provided daily updates on our cats. We met beforehand to get to know each other which was very comforting for us. It did not take long to feel at ease that our furbabies would be well cared for.

Ayush was great! Even when a snowstorm totally changed my dates at the last minute, Ayush was happy to accommodate. And I could tell Skye and Marcus were comfortable with him from the way they were playing with him and their toys in the pics he sent me. Thank you, Ayush

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
