“Thank you so much Melinda for taking fantastic care of our pups and our home. I was nervous to use the house sitting service for the first time but Melinda set my fears to rest and sent updates and photos regularly throughout our ten day vacation. Our pups got to go on outings and she even got them a new toy! We forgot to leave their leashes and she went so far as to borrow her own dogs leashes for them during her stay instead of charging us for new ones. She made sure our dogs were never alone for long, even enlisting help from her daughter and partner when needed to keep them company. Our dogs are happy and healthy upon return and our home is lovely and clean. She even went above and beyond to wash our sheets and make up our bed for us so that we could go to sleep immediately after our late flight, we appreciated it more than you know Melinda! We would definitely use Melinda again and recommend her whole heartedly!”

About: I have been a pet owner since childhood and have been the go to carer for others homes, pets and even children since I was in my teens. Retired in 2018 and set off house/pet sitting around the world. I am 5 star rated for pet and house care, communication, reliability and cleanliness. I am retired! I love long walks and snuggling up with a pet and a good book. I do a little consulting work on my computer and I can do that from anywhere. I am willing to travel for longer sits + 1 week/a few hours drive from Calgary, +2 weeks further afield in BC and AB, +3 weeks further than that (Canada/US/International) I listen to the pets owner and try and stick closely to existing routines. I have a 10 lb Chorkie who loves making new friends, dogs, cats, snakes, you name it…people too.

“This has been my best experience with Rover in all these years. Tare Jo is an absolute gem. She had to deal with some aggression issues between her dog and mine, and she worked through it and found resolution without blame or judgement. The dogs were exercised multiple times per day and she kept in touch regularly with the sweetest of photos. My place was left cleaner than when I left, and all the bedding and towels were cleaned. Tara Jo is so very skilled, and I will certainly reach out to her in the future.”
