Excellent sitter. Monica took on 3 small dogs with one being a senior dog and cared for them with kindness providing a safe comfortable experience for them. My dogs were happy and calm when I picked them up after my trip. Top notch sitter, I highly recommend her.

When puppy Rosie came into my life almost a year ago, I already had anxiety about what I would do if I needed to go away. I could not bear to leave her! But then Sandra appeared! She put me at ease. Rosie had her first weekend at Sandra’s and it was so awesome. She sent wonderful updates and photos. I’m so happy Rosie had such a healthy and happy experience. Thank you so much!!

Allison and her husband were absolutely fantastic with our two large dogs. We used Allison service over Christmas, which was absolutely amazing for us. They treated our dogs like their own and even walked them when it was freezing cold. They spoiled our dogs, rotten and took such amazing photos and made sure to share them with us. I can’t say enough about Allison. I would highly recommend her.

Siera & her family were so wonderful! She sent photos of our dog Beau playing with her dog throughout our time away, and we could tell that she was really enjoying him and taking excellent care of him. Her yard is large so the dogs had so much fun running around together, Beau was exhausted by the time we picked him up. Highly recommend Siera

Ana was so good with my over active big puppy. She worked with him on training techniques and gave me some good pointers. I really appreciated the communication and videos she sent so I knew he was having a great time. I definitely recommend her services and will use her again in the future. Thank you!!

This was our first time using Rover - I contacted Jessica with only a couple days notice when our friends could no longer watch our dog. She replied right away and was able to accommodate our pets! Our dog stayed with her in her house and she came every day to our house to feed our cat. She kept us up to date on how things were going while we were away. My dog took a day to settle in and he finally did and I know it was because of Jessica's care! I would recommend Jessica for anyone needing a caretaker!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 10 years old and have never gone without having one by my side, so looking after them feels completely natural to me. While I was away at university, I even fostered a couple of dogs because I missed having that companionship so much it was incredibly rewarding to give them love and stability while they waited for their forever homes. I’m comfortable with a range of needs, from energetic puppies who benefit from consistent routines and basic training, to senior dogs who need a gentler, more attentive approach. What sets me apart is the genuine connection I build with every dog I care for as I treat them like my own. Recently, I lost my two dogs, and while I’m not quite ready to bring a new puppy into my home, caring for others’ pets feels like the perfect way to keep sharing that love, attention, and companionship that dogs deserve. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make it a priority in my day. I’m currently working part-time with a chiropractic internship from Monday to Thursday, which still leaves me with plenty of time and energy to give your dog the attention, exercise, and care they deserve. I’m available on weekdays after 4pm as well as on weekends, making it easy for me to accommodate walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or overnight care. I’m reliable, flexible, and committed to making sure your pet feels happy, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I provide a safe, calm, and loving environment whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home. At my place, I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor time and supervised play. There is also one friendly 2-year-old Havanese (my parents’ dog), so I’m mindful of introductions and always make sure all dogs feel comfortable and safe. I can easily crate your dog if that’s part of their routine, or they’re welcome to have free roam of the house if preferred. In a client’s home, I respect your space and follow your pet’s usual schedule as closely as possible to keep things consistent and stress-free. My goal is always to create a trustworthy, secure environment where your pet feels relaxed, cared for, and right at home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
